Coach’s challenges for goaltender interference and the ensuing arguments aren’t going away. There will just be a new place to direct the complaints. With the goal of refining the consistency of goalie interference challenges http://www.billscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-josh-allen-jersey , NHL general managers on Wednesday recommended shifting the decision from on-ice officials to the league’s situation room in Toronto. The change could go into effect as soon as the playoffs, which begin April 11, after the NHL Players’ Association signed off and now just needs approval from the board of governors.”The players want consistency in the application of the rule, and therefore support this proposed change in order to help accomplish that goal,” said NHLPA special assistant to the executive direct Mathieu Schneider said after consulting with competition committee members and other players.Commissioner Gary Bettman said only perhaps a half-dozen of about 170 challenges this season were controversial, yet GMs overwhelmingly were in favor of a centralized location for final decisions.”The objective is to be as close to perfect as possible,” Bettman said, noting goalie interference is a judgment call. ”The recommended change is intended to help resolve the rare cases in which the situation room and the referees might have different opinions of a particular play and is intended to produce more predictability for our players and coaches.”Currently, on-ice officials have the final say on whether a goal should count or be disallowed when challenged. Under the proposed change, the officials would continue to be involved, but a member of the NHL Officiating Management Team – made up of former referees – would be part of the decision-making process.Washington Capitals coach Barry Trotz said this won’t affect how he approaches challenging goalie interference but believes having someone outside the area making the call is a positive.”There’s some referees who are more established and, I’d say Cheap Tre'Davious White Jersey , sure of themselves, they won’t reverse the calls,” Trotz said. ”They almost say, `That’s the way I saw it and that’s the way it is and live with it.’ And others get swayed by what they see or maybe the crowd or another coach or how the game’s going.”So it’s no different than the student marking their own papers. Let’s have a non-emotional person who has no skin in the game and is not in an emotional environment to make those calls and I think you’ll find it will be more consistent.”Coaches and goaltenders have complained about the inconsistency all season. Bettman said during All-Star weekend in late January that officials might be ”overthinking” reviews and that the intent was, ”Take a quick look, but don’t search it to death.”The league sent a memo to all teams outlining the standard, which is closer to what Dallas Stars coach Ken Hitchcock prefers. Hitchcock said he and his colleagues want to lean toward allowing more contact and counting more goals.”We’re tie goes to the runner,” Hitchcock said. ”I think that’s how a lot of the coaches feel is that when you see a situation that is a positive-area sacrifice (for players), give the runner the benefit.”It took years of debate for GMs to approve coach’s challenges for offside and goaltender interference, which are in their third season. The gray area in interpretation still causes issues.”I don’t know what is and what isn’t,” New York Islanders coach Doug Weight said recently. I think there’s a lot of confusion. That’s tough. It’s frustrating for us.”The hope is to lessen the frustration by letting a rotation of former officials take over. But nothing about the way goalie interference is called is being changed.Former player Ray Ferraro suggested adopting the international standard that says a goal is waved off if a skater interferes with a goalie’s positioning but allows it to count if the goalie initiates contact.”You’re never going to find a solution for this because what you see when you’re 200 feet away in a press box is different from what you see on TV, which is different from what is happening on the ice Authentic Tre'Davious White Jersey ,” goaltending analyst Justin Goldman of The Goalie Guild said. ”I feel bad for the referees because it’s so hard to make that call in that moment, but to go to Toronto and expect Toronto to get it right every single time, you’re at the mercy of what they’re seeing on a TV screen, not what actually happened on the ice. For the goalies, that’s super frustrating.”— BOSTON (AP) Nick Holden has only been in Boston for about a month, and he’s already learned that he needs to keep his stick on the ice when he’s playing with David Krejci.”When you think the puck can’t get there, he can get it there,” Holden said after scoring his first goal in a Bruins uniform, tapping in a spinning, perfectly place pass from Krejci to help Boston beat the Florida Panthers 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.”He just made a perfect play,”’ said Holden, who was acquired from the New York Rangers in late February. ”You don’t think the puck can get there http://www.billscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-tre_davious-white-jersey , and he somehow finds you (with a) spin-o-rama pass all the way to the other side.”Krejci had three assists and Jake DeBrusk scored twice in his first game in more than two weeks for the Bruins, who moved into first place in the Eastern Conference and clinched home ice for at least one round of the playoffs.Tuukka Rask stopped 30 shots and rookie Ryan Donato had a goal and an assist for Boston, which has won four of its last five games. The Bruins have earned a point in eight straight games and 15 of their last 17.Jamie McGinn scored for Florida, which remains three points behind New Jersey in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. James Reimer stopped 17 of the 22 shots he faced before he was replaced by Roberto Luongo with 3:28 left in the second period, trailing 5-1.Luongo, the losing goalie for Vancouver in the Bruins’ 2011 Stanley Cup run, stopped all 11 shots the rest of the way.”Obviously, you’re not going to get into the playoffs playing like that,” Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck said. ”Against a team that’s at the top of the league right now, you think you’d rise to the occasion and play your best game. It didn’t seem like we did.”Two days after a physical battle for first place with the Tampa Bay Lighting, which the Bruins won 4-2 to take temporary possession of the top spot, Boston sent the struggling Panthers to their third straight loss and moved back into first. The Lightning had jumped ahead of the Bruins with a win at the New York Rangers on Friday night.McGinn gave the Panthers the lead when he poked a rebound between Rask’s skate and the post five minutes into the first. From there Cheap Christian McCaffrey Jersey , it was all Boston. The Bruins tied it when Krejci spun around at the blue line and wheeled it right to the slot for Holden, who tipped through Reimer’s legs and into the net.Asked if he thought Krejci even knew he was there, Holden said, ”Some guys, I’d say no.””But Krejci, absolutely I’d say he knew I was there,” he said. ”He’s been a special player that can create so much for everyone, not just for himself.”NOTES: Bruins D Brandon Carlo was taken off on a stretcher in the third period after an apparent ankle injury. … Reimer played in his 300th NHL game. … Referee Tom Kowal officiated his last of more than 1,000 NHL games before retiring. LAS VEGAS (AP) The Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights were favored to win their second-round matchups. After losses Saturday Nazem Kadri Jersey , the Lightning and Golden Knights will be happy just to reclaim home-ice advantage.Hours after Boston beat Tampa Bay 6-2 to take a 1-0 series lead Saturday, the Sharks handed Vegas its first postseason loss in six games with a 4-3 double-overtime victory.Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper and Vegas coach Gerard Gallant said it was their teams’ worst performances of the postseason.”I didn’t like the game we played, that was the main thing,” Gallant said Sunday before he and the Golden Knights left for San Jose. ”Not just losing in overtime, but I didn’t like the game that we played the first 40 minutes.”And while the Lightning enjoyed six days off after eliminating New Jersey in five games, it was Boston that looked sharper after winning an emotional Game 7 at home against Toronto three nights prior.Cooper put the Lightning through an intense, high-tempo practice Sunday in hopes of setting the tone for a more spirited performance in Game 2, after his team played with less intensity than in any of its first-round games against New Jersey.”The purpose of our practice was to put us in the best position to be ready to play (Monday night),” Cooper said. ”Often times a lot of things in your game you develop in practice. We had a week off. We did some good things, but our game was not at a playoff level like the other team that had just played in a Game 7, and that’s what we have to bring (Monday night) or it’s going to be a long series for us.”Boston’s top line of Brad Marchand (one goal, three assists) David Pastrnak (four assists) and Patrice Bergeron (two goals, one assist) combined for 11 points, a huge contrast from Tampa Bay’s top line of Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos and J.T. Miller, which went scoreless in Game 1.”With every round, you have to elevate your game, your intensity, everything, and we didn’t,” Cooper said. ”We took a step back. A really good team showed us what happens when you do that.”Much of the same can be said for Vegas Danton Heinen Jersey Kids , which looked nothing like the team that opened its second-round series with a 7-0 shellacking of San Jose. Instead of the team that looked crisp with every pass, and sharp with every shot on goal, the Golden Knights were undisciplined and sloppy through the first 40 minutes.”We got a little too confident after Game 1, we came out a little slow in Game 2 and we just have to fix that and focus on a good start for Game 3,” Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore said. ”We can’t take those kinds of penalties. When you’re in the box for a good portion of the night it’s not going to go good. It kind of bit us in the ass.”The Golden Knights, who surpassed its season-high 13 penalties in minutes with 22 PIM, found themselves in the box more than San Jose, 11-6.Vegas is used to rolling four lines and three pairs of defensemen. Saturday the schematics changed with them spending more than a period in the penalty box collectively. And while Gallant admitted he didn’t like some of the calls against his team, or some of what he felt were missed calls, he also said his players brought a lot of it on themselves.”I thought we had a couple of opportunities for power plays, we didn’t get them,” Gallant said. ”I don’t want our guys in the penalty box, I don’t want my top guys in the penalty box wrestling. (David) Perron took six minutes in penalties last night, (Jonathan) Marchessault’s sitting in there for roughing. You play hard, you get penalties – that’s fine. You don’t waste your time with after-the-whistle activities.”BOUNCE BACK STRONGTampa Bay and Vegas have shown resiliency after a setback, as the Lightning are 19-8 following a loss, while the Golden Knights are 20-10-1.”We know they’re going to come back faster and harder than they did, and they played a really good game (Saturday),” Marchand said of the Lightning. ”They came out fast, they came hard and it was tough to weather that storm early on. So, we can expect more of that.”San Jose’s Brent Burns Authentic Mitchell Marner Jersey , who had two goals on Saturday, said the Sharks fixed what they needed to for Game 2, but the win meant nothing more than tying the series and it’s now just a best-of-five, not seven, against a Vegas team that will be looking for revenge.”It’s just one game,” Burns said. ”Obviously we had to win it, but it’s one game, so.”FLURRY ON FLEURYAfter allowing just three goals through the first five games, Vegas netminder Marc-Andre Fleury allowed three in the second period alone on Saturday. His shutout in Game 1 was his third of the postseason, but the Sharks peppered him throughout Game 2, outshooting the Golden Knights, 47-29.The 14-year veteran said the lack of discipline, and even his own mistakes, are nothing to dwell on if the Golden Knights want to steal back home-ice advantage.”We have a good bunch of guys, we’ve been through a lot together this year,” Fleury said Sunday. ”You win 7-0 or you lose like last night, you always got to start fresh every night. I think we’ve been doing that, for the first round and the first game of San Jose. Every game is a new start, you got to start from scratch and try to win that one.”—AP Sports Writer Fred Goodall in Tampa, Florida, contributed to this report. WASHINGTON (AP) The text message lit up Troy Mann’s phone the morning after the Capitals eliminated the Penguins with a patchwork lineup featuring five rookies. It came from Barry Trotz.”Thanks Manner for having all those rookie Caps ready Tomas Tatar Jersey Womens ,” Trotz wrote. ”They all played well – you own a piece of this win last night.”Mann beamed with pride when more than a half-dozen players he coached with the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears contributed to the victory that got the Capitals into the Eastern Conference final. Many of those players are still playing key roles for Washington in the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights – more than a month after Mann was fired from his job as Hershey’s head coach. This is a bittersweet time for Mann, who had a hand in the development of Jakub Vrana, Chandler Stephenson and Christian Djoos as coach and was an assistant when Braden Holtby, John Carlson, Dmitry Orlov, Andre Burakovsky, Jay Beagle and Tom Wilson went through Hershey on their way to the NHL. Considering the success of those players and Hershey products Nate Schmidt and Cody Eakin contributing for Vegas, the Cup Final is a validation of Mann’s methods of getting prospects ready for the next level.”I called Troy Mann the other day and thanked him for producing a lot of good players,” Trotz said. ”All the players he had the last couple of years are all playing in the Stanley Cup Finals. Guys who haven’t played a (playoff) game before. They’ve brought some of that winning tradition that they had in Hershey. It’s important for those guys to be a part of it.”Mann has remained connected to the Capitals’ playoff run by talking to Trotz and Hershey video coach Mike King, who’s in Washington. Amid interviews with other organizations for another AHL job or work as an NHL assistant, he has watched about 80 percent of the Capitals’ games this postseason and can see the elements in players’ games he and assistant Ryan Murphy harped on improving during their four-year tenure. After giving Vrana some tough love by scratching him in the playoffs a year ago, Mann notices the 22-year-old winger getting between the faceoff dots to create offense like he asked. He watches Stephenson playing with the consistency that was sometimes lacking in Hershey, which was all part of the plan.”We talked a lot during our time here about what they needed to do at the NHL level to be successful Tom Kuhnhackl Jersey Womens ,” Mann said by phone this week. ”The thing we’ve seen the most with our guys is just the improvement level from year to year and month to month.”As much as Mann notices the improvement from afar, the players feel it, too, and credit him for giving them the playing time to grow their games in Hershey, a market that expects championships as much as development.”He just gave us a chance,” said Stephenson, who has seven points in his first Stanley Cup playoffs. ”The type of franchise that Hershey’s been and having so many Calder Cups and things like that, he put a lot of faith in the younger guys and just trusted us. He wanted us to get to the next level more so than you wanted yourself. I really respected him as a coach and liked him as a coach and to have that faith and trust (from) him, it’s helped me a lot.”His support several years ago helped Eakin become a full-time NHL player who said Mann ”knows how to get the most out of his players.” Schmidt, who had Mann as an assistant and a head coach, appreciated pre-practice skills sessions to work on his hands and stick work and the honesty with which he deals with players.”I thought he was great,” Schmidt said Saturday. ”You always knew where you stood with him. That’s something that I really respect.”But after three playoff appearances including a trip to the Calder Cup Final in 2016, missing the postseason this year led to the Capitals not renewing Mann’s contract.”Troy is a dedicated and hard-working coach Anthony Beauvillier Jersey Womens , and we appreciate all he has done for the Hershey Bears,” Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan said in a statement. ”At this point, we feel a fresh approach and a change in leadership is needed in order for us to continue to develop our young players towards the next level and for success at the AHL level.”That stung for Mann, who worked eight of the past nine years in the Capitals’ system, made Hershey his home in that time and believed he did his job.”I think it’s very difficult for anybody to tell me that I haven’t done my job here,” Mann said. ”I’m very grateful they gave me my first opportunity. As much as I’d love to be the head coach of Hershey next year, the only thing I can hope for now is that other NHL teams are recognizing the work that we did here and that’ll help pay off in the next few weeks here of securing another opportunity.”Mann was a finalist for one job already and is in demand as Ottawa, Arizona and Colorado all look to fill AHL head-coaching vacancies. He has a big supporter in Trotz, who said recently the Capitals wouldn’t be Eastern Conference champions without Mann and Murphy helping develop Stephenson, Vrana, Djoos, Nathan Walker, Travis Boyd and Madison Bowey.”They did a really good job Dustin Tokarski Jersey Womens ,” Trotz said. ”They’ve developed well, and they’ve been a big part of it.”—More Stanley Cup coverage: https://apnews.com/tag/StanleyCupFinals— DETROIT (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets were one of the best NHL teams in overtime last year. CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Blackhawks are not making changes behind the bench after missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade.Team President John McDonough told reporters Thursday that he plans to bring back both coach Joel Quenneville and general manager Stan Bowman after a dismal season for a team that has won three Stanley Cup championships since 2010 but stumbled to a last-place finish in the Central Division this season.”I believe in continuity Adidas Jonathan Bernier Jersey , they’ve had an incredible body of success,” McDonough told reporters. ”We’re not tethered to the past. This has been a very disappointing year and our expectations are incredibly high. We’re not going to deviate from those expectations. But I believe both Stan and Joel are the guys that are going to bring this back.”Chicago had reached the playoffs every year since Quenneville took over four games into the 2008-09 season, winning it all in 2010, 2013 and 2015. But the Blackhawks lost in the first round each of the past two years and this year was a nightmare.Corey Crawford’s upper-body injury in December eventually sidelined the two-time All-Star goaltender for the season, and there was inconsistent play from some of the team’s aging stars and young defensemen.Still, Chicago has a highly regarded support system and the team has plenty of talent, including star forward Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks have started a youth movement as veterans like Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook have shown some signs of wear and tear. The team’s leading goal scorer, Alex DeBrincat, is 20.”Joel’s done a very good job with the young players,” McDonough told reporters. ”And I think it’s inspiring to see that there are a lot of good young players on the way. I know at one point Adidas Paul Thompson Jersey , that was kind of a knock on Joel, that he wasn’t proficient at coaching young players. He and Bowman will now get a chance to turn things around.”There were a lot of circumstances that happened this year that were out of our control,” McDonough said. ”And I’m not assessing blame, but I believe in both of them. CALGARY Adam Cracknell Jersey Womens , Alberta (AP) — Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn took full advantage of a poor defensive effort by the Calgary Flames.Seguin scored 24 seconds into overtime, with an assist from Benn, to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 victory over Calgary on Wednesday night.Benn knocked the puck into the slot, where Seguin was wide open and put a shot inside the post on David Rittich.“I mentally kind of knew I was shooting there already,” Seguin said. “Earlier I had a play, a chance, and I saw low glove open and said if I got the chance in the slot I’d shoot there again.”Rittich argued Benn interfered with him, but the goal stood up after a video review. It was redemption for Benn, the Dallas captain, who took two minor penalties in the third period. The second one led to Johnny Gaudreau’s goal at 9:41 that made it 2-all.“Obviously he played that overtime with a little guilt,” Seguin said. “I’m happy how hard he worked. LAS VEGAS (AP) Marc-Andre Fleury sat shirtless in front of his locker, staring blankly, his exhausted gaze fixed nowhere. Pads still strapped to his legs after another spectacular night’s work, the Vegas Golden Knights goalie looked as if he were trying to gather his thoughts, trying somehow to make sense of it all.The rest of the hockey world is, too Womens Bryan Rust Jersey , as the newly minted Knights play Sunday with the most improbable prize of all at stake – a chance to go to the Stanley Cup Final. The story is well known by now, or at least it should be. But the fantasy has never been so close to reality as it is now, with the Knights up 3-1 going into Sunday’s game against the Jets in Winnipeg. An expansion team born last October on the heels of the Las Vegas massacre that took 58 lives is on the brink of winning it all, confounding both hockey experts and expert bookies alike.Even the guys on the other team are shaking their heads at what the hockey gods wrought.”You know it’s just the stars are just aligning for them,” Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck said. ”But it’s not going to stay that way.”Maybe not, partly because hockey is a notoriously fickle game. But in this gambling town the odds are suddenly in the house’s favor. With the hope they don’t have to play at home again until the Stanley Cup Final, the Knights trotted out some old Vegas mojo Friday night with Wayne Newton and the Blue Man Group making appearances to root the team on. The Backstreet Boys were there and rapper Lil Jon took the microphone to lead the cheers just before Reilly Smith punched in the go-ahead goal in the third period. And, of course, this being Las Vegas the guy doing the anthems was a singing gondolier whose day job is serenading tourists in the faux canals of Venice just across the street. There’s nothing fake about this team now one win from one of most improbable runs ever. Once 500-1 longshots to win the Stanley Cup in their first year, the Knights are now favored – at least in the sports books – to win it all. It’s enough to make even Bark-Andre Furry – the lovable canine and goalie namesake who is now the unofficial team mascot – to sit up and take notice.”It’s nice, but the last one is always the toughest to get,” Fleury said. ”I think we have to keep the same mind set and just go and take it one game at a time and not think too far ahead and be ready to play that next game because they are going to be coming hard.”That mentality has worked well for a team that began the season as an afterthought, a collection of unwanted players from other teams thrown together in hopes of winning a respectable number of games in their first year. The coach himself, Gerard Gallant, had been unceremoniously fired from the Florida Panthers, left on the side of a road with his luggage as the team bus headed down the road. It’s been a remarkable run for a team that likes to call itself the Golden Misfits. They’ve struck gold in Las Vegas Josh Jooris Jersey Womens , a town that loves winners and has embraced its first major pro sports team.Just how remarkable? Well, consider that while the Knights are five wins from bringing home the Stanley Cup in their first year, the Toronto Maple Leafs – a member of the NHL’s exclusive Original Six club – haven’t won one in the last 51 years. On Friday, the Knights used the same formula – speed and stellar goaltending – that has worked for them all year to beat the Jets 3-1 and take a commanding advantage in the Western Conference finals. It was the third straight win for the Knights, who have no illusion on how tough getting win No. 4 will be.”No team is going to go out quietly this time of the year,” Gallant said.Still, everything seems to be aligning in the Knights’ favor. They’re playing hard, yes, but they’re also getting the kind of bounces and breaks that are usually the difference in a series between two evenly matched teams. That continued in Game 4 as Dustin Byfuglien whiffed on an attempt near the blue line and Smith scooped up the loose puck and raced down the ice to score the winner over the shoulder of Hellebuyck with 6:58 left.Soon the Knights were celebrating, and Elvis was singing. Viva Las Vegas blared through the arena, and the crowd of 18,697 filed out happily into the warm desert night. One win away for a team no one dares bet against.—-Tim Dahlberg is a national sports columnist for The Associated Press. He has four years left on the contract he signed when Wang still owned the team.”Both Garth, who is a personal friend and one who I’ve known for a long time and also Dougie who played for me in `96 and `98, I have tremendous respect for,” Lamoriello said. This latest front-office development comes with the Islanders at a crossroads this summer. The face of the franchise Christian Folin Jersey Womens , John Tavares, can become a free agent July 1. The team took one step toward making Tavares feel comfortable about re-signing by planning a permanent home at Belmont Park after spending the last three seasons playing at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but the direction of the organization still threatens to push the superstar center to leave.Lamoriello said Tavares’ situation ”certainly has not and did not enter into any of the decisions that are made.”Tavares, who would be the top free agent on the market, had a good relationship with Weight, who was his teammate for two seasons and assistant coach and GM from 2011 until he replaced Jack Capuano as head coach in January 2017. Weight just finished his first full season as Islanders coach. The Islanders now have the only coaching vacancy in the NHL. Asked what kind of coach he’d like to hire, Lamoriello essentially only alluded to the fact that Weight was not the guy he wants behind the bench.”Not every coach is for every team and not every team is for every coach,” Lamoriello said. ”If we had that coach, he would be in place.”In a statement, Lamoriello thanked Snow and Weight and the team said they would remain with the organization. Specific roles and responsibilities for them have yet to be determined, though Lamoriello said David Perron Jersey Womens , ”I feel they can be valuable in me picking their brain, asking their opinion in certain areas.”—Follow AP Hockey Writer Stephen Whyno at https://twitter.com/SWhyno— Last spring, the New Jersey Devils learned first-hand how much ground they need to make up on the Tampa Bay Lightning, decisively losing a first-round playoff series four games to one.As the teams get set to meet Monday night at the Prudential Center, the gap between the Lightning and Devils has widened considerably. While the Lightning (19-7-1) are once again on top of the Eastern Conference, the Devils (9-11-5) are last in the East after finishing in eighth place a year ago.Article continues below ...“That playoff series was eye-opening for our players, it showed just how far we’ve got to go to be considered one of the better teams in the league,” said Devils coach John Hynes. “But we told the players this is a new season, there’s not necessarily a carry-over from the previous season, and we have to script a new story.”So far, that story is largely disappointing for the Devils Jimmy Hayes Jersey Womens , who have lost five straight following a 4-3 overtime defeat on home ice to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. The Devils surrendered 23 goals in the past five games, three of which were decided in overtime. New Jersey is 0-5 in overtime this season as opposed to 10-9 in 2017-18.Among their issues this season, the Devils surrender 3.44 goals per game, ranking them near the bottom of the league. Their minus-12 goal differential is tied for worst in the Eastern Conference. They have only two power-play goals in the last 12 games. And the Devils are winless in eight games (0-7-1) when trailing after the first period.“We’re not playing horrible, but there’s always a little piece missing that’s not letting us get wins,” said Devils left-wing Taylor Hall.Despite Saturday’s loss, the Devils have been good on home ice this year with a 7-1-4 record. In addition, Hall has 27 points in 25 games; winger Jesper Bratt has nine points in 12 games since returning from injury; and center Marcus Johansson is getting his game in gear with goals in consecutive games and three goals and two assists in the last five games.“I like the way our guys played (Saturday) night,” said Hynes. “I think you have to compliment the guys and their willingness to battle. We would have liked to have the two points, but the way we battled is something to build on.”The Lightning provide a stiff test to the struggling Devils on Monday. Not only do the Lightning have more points (39) than any other club in the NHL, they’ve also won five of six and seven of nine. Plus Chris Bigras Jersey Womens , the Lightning already beat New Jersey twice this season, outscoring the Devils 13-5.Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov has two goals and three assists this season against the Devils, and he brings a nine-game point-scoring streak into Monday’s contest. Kucherov, who leads the Lightning in scoring with 38 points, has 20 of those points during the last nine games.Kucherov had a goal and two assists in the Lightning’s 5-4 overtime victory over the Florida Panthers on Saturday, a game in which Tampa Bay rallied from a 4-1 deficit. The red-hot Brayden Point netted the overtime-winning goal, his team-leading 19th of the season. He now has five goals in his last five games, and 10 in the last nine games.“We didn’t panic, we stayed the course,” Point told reporters following the game. “We kept playing our game. We worked hard, and when we got our chances Jack Johnson Jersey Womens , we converted on them.”With No. 1 goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy on injured reserve with a fractured left foot, the Lightning have not skipped a beat. Since Vasilevskiy went down, Louis Domingue started all 10 games in goal, winning seven. Despite allowing fewer than three goals only three times in that span, Domingue has kept the high-flying Lightning on course.“When the game is on the line and you need the timely save, those are the saves you need in order to win, and he’s giving us that,” Lightning coach Jon Cooper told the team’s web site. “He’s finding ways to win games for us and you need that in your goalie.”After Monday’s contest, the Devils travel out west for a three-game road trip to California, while the Lightning finish off a three-game road swing Tuesday in Detroit against the Red Wings.
330 days http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-deone-bucannon-jersey , that is all it has been since Mike McCoy was let go after the Denver Broncos lost their sixth consecutive game as the offensive coordinator. After starting 3-1, the Broncos stumbled to a 3-7 record, averaging 14.2 points per game in the six game losing streakm which allowed new Broncos Head Coach Vance Joseph to pull the trigger on McCoy’s firing.330 days later, the Arizona Cardinals are averaging 13.7 points per game on the season, 31st in the NFL, they are 30th or worst in every major statistical category in the NFL, passing yards (31), passing touchdowns (30), passing yards per attempt (31), rushing yards (32), yards per attempt rushing (32), first downs (32), and total offensive yards (31).McCoy is producing one of the worst offensive seasons in NFL history and now, it seems there is actual pressure on McCoy to produce. You see Black D.J. Humphries Jersey , Steve Wilks is having a similar first season to what Vance Joseph experienced in his first season with the Broncos.A seemingly good GM, saddling a young, defensive minded head coach with an established NFL play caller and asking them to figure it out.Joseph cut McCoy, but it didn’t change the trajectory of Joseph’s first head coaching gig in the NFL.Now, he sits on the hotseat and a loss to the lowly Cardinals on Thursday Night may end Joseph’s career with the Broncos.Which begs the question, who is more likely to be coaching their last NFL game with their current team?Mike McCoy or Vance Joseph? Did anyone see any even small signs of misdirection in the Cardinals’ offense yesterday? The closest thing to it was J.J. Nelson going in motion and posing the threat of a jet sweep—-but—-even that threat was wiped out when when they snapped the ball with Nelson already 2-3 steps past the QB.What’s curious about Mike McCoy—-has anyone heard a former player of his tout his coaching ability? Perhaps added proof of this is the fact that despite being the head coach of the Chargers and the OC of the Broncos the past 4 years—-McCoy did not attract one former player of his to the Cardinals via free agency—-and the irony is that the one former player he drafted and coached, C/G Max Tuerk, was cut before OTAs.Conversely, many former players like Josh Norman have raved about Steve Wilks and Wilks has attracted a host of former players such as Bene Benwikere, Tre Boston, Lou Young, Zach Moore, Jeremy Cash, Blaine Clausell http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-josh-bynes-jersey , etc.Speaking of Tre Boston, while he is at times playing a little too amped and out of control, he is starting to create a D.J. Swearinger type of presence over the middle. Boston brings a physicality and a level of anticipation to the free safety position that, when well harnessed, can help the team win. Speaking of Bene Benwikere—-he played his best game to date as a Cardinal. He and Budda Baker combined on that superb 1st quarter sack of Trubusky that led to the Bears’ missed FG. Then Bene defended the deep pass to Tyler Gabriel well and made a few other good plays. He came in at RCB for Jamar Taylor who seemed to be having his best game as a Cardinal.Speaking of Budda Baker—-what a superb performance the Cardinals got from him yesterday. He is playing fast and confidently.Imagine what the Cardinals could have done with the $16M they have paid QB Sam Bradford and the $8.7M they elected to pay LB Deone Bucannon this year when they picked up his 5th year option. That is close to $25M which could have been spent on the offensive line, the WR position, the TE position and the LB position. Speaking of the offensive line—-how about the commendable play of RT John Wetzel. Aside from his one false start, he was so effective on Khalil Mack that they moved Mack over to RDE, where unfortunately Mack beat LT D.J. Humphries and G Mike Iupati repeatedly. Iupati is clearly struggling and perhaps waiver wire pickup G Jeremy Vujnovich—-who started all 16 games at LG for the Colts last year—-could be an upgrade. Iupati is getting out-quicked up the middle on twists and TEX stunts. The main thing all of the linemen can improve—-sustaining blocks—-there were times they could have made a greater effort to maintain contact with Mack, but they let him slip off too easily and didn’t do a good job chasing him.Kudos to C Mason Cole who is providing steady play and leadership.Kudos as well to RB David Johnson for taking the romance out of the LB blitz—-after conceding to the FOX crew that he needed to step up his pass pro—-and then for hopping on Bradford’s first fumble which could have put the Bears inside the Cardinals 10 yard line. The Cardinals need more hustle plays like the ones the got from Johnson. It was good to see the Cardinals use FB Derrick Coleman for a series and he had a nice catch and RAC—-but again—-it’s only a cameo appearance for a FB in the Cardinals’ offense—-an offense that with the lead for most of the game only ran David Johnson 12 times and not with the game on the line on 3rd and 2.As for the defensive line—-they miss Olsen Pierre, no doubt, but Nkemdiche, Peters and Gunter played well versus the Bears. Jones, Golden and Mayowa too—-although Wilks’ defense still has contain issues that have yet to be hammered out. Golden http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-mike-iupati-jersey , a couple of times, showed a semblance of his normal explosion off the edge. He said he was on a snap count, but he felt very good and he’s sure that the players and the coaches are going to fix things well in the days and weeks ahead. Gotta love Golden’s attitude and head’s-up approach. Other reasons why McCoy should go—-(1) egregious misuse of RB David Johnson; (2) little to no sign of using Fitz on his two bread and butter routes, the skinny post and the fade; (3) little to no creativity or imagination in the play calls; (4) poor, stagnant QB play from Bradford; (5) poor assimilation of WRs Chad Williams and J.J. Nelson into the offense—-which has become very WR and RB unfriendly under McCoy's lack of leadership.McCoy gets a lot of credit for what he did with Tim Tebow—-but if you go back and look at Tebow’s games, he and the Broncos’ offense were utterly listless (like we have seen from the Cardinals the past 3 weeks) for 3 1鈦? quarters until Tebow got to go in a hurry-up where he then used his legs to extend drives.Josh Allen struggled in his first action for the Bills—-but once he started getting the 1st team reps in practice he has showed steady improvement, this week to the tune of outplaying the richest QB in NFL history (Cousins) on Cousin’s home field. This is what we can hope for from Josh Rosen when he is given the starter’s reps in practice and the chance to build some momentum and confidence. I liked what Rosen had to say after the game—-he’s always self-critical, but he also was honest enough to say that he felt “content” about getting his first taste of a real NFL game.At the same time—-it seemed like such a colossal waste of the pre-season to sit Rosen for the last two games. It certainly didn’t help him yesterday that he hadn't taken a snap in a live situation since week 2 of the pre-season (over 5 weeks). Steve Wilks has kept Rosen in bubble wrap the whole time, but finally the wrap came off yesterday and hopefully it is off for good.Rookie defensive oriented head coaches often have a difficult time handling QBs their first time around—-they tend to play things too cautiously, as Wilks has to date. With making the bold move to put Rosen in the game with 4 minutes left, Wilks is taking the kid gloves off the rookie. The best QBs are the hungriest and toughest at their position. Treating them with kid gloves is a mistake. Feeding their hunger and rewarding them for their toughness are the best ways to ensure their development.
Arizona Cardinals missing Larry Fitzgerald Youth D.J. Humphries Jersey , Corey Peters and Robert Nkemdiche on initial week 4 injury report The Arizona Cardinals are struggling out of the gate and now they find a number of key contributors on the initial injury report heading into week four of the 2018 NFL season.Clearly the big names that jump out are Robert Nkemdiche, Corey Peters and of course that guy named Larry Fitzgerald.Fitz’s absence is big as the Cardinals need as much work for Josh Rosen with the future Hall of Famer as possible. Although, Fitz has made a living out of catching passes from whatever quarterback is throwing him the ball that week. However, the Cardinals need something positive to come out of this game.On the other side of the ball, missing Corey Peters and Robert Nkemdiche would be massive to a defense that has been finding its footing over the last two weeks.Especially against the run, where the Seahawks will try and live on Sunday.Obviously Markus Golden and Jermaine Gresham have some recovering to do after their first live action in quite a while, but Benson Mayowa and Olsen Pierre are two more players to watch this week, as the Cardinals need all hands on deck on defense. The Seattle Seahawks have quite the initial injury list as well, so that will be something to follow this week. The Cardinals are off this week, which means they enter their bye week at the midpoint of the NFL season with a disappointing 2-6 record. We certainly didn’t think they’d be this bad—unlike Vegas. (The house always wins. Sigh.)We’ve gone through two offensive coordinators, two starting quarterbacks, one Patrick Peterson trade demand (and withdrawal), one 45-10 stomping on national television, and two wins against the lowly 49ers to get here. It’s been an exhausting 8 weeks—and the second half of the season isn’t looking like it’ll be much better. We’ll look ahead to the rest of the season (and beyond) next week. For now, it’s report card time! We’ll hand out grades for the coaching staff and each position group and then give the team an overall grade.Warning: This ain’t gonna be pretty.Coaching StaffSteve Wilks and his staff have struggled mightily in their first year on the sidelines. Mike McCoy has already been fired for helming a historically bad offense (since replaced by Lord Byron). Al Holcomb’s 4-3 conversion has gone sideways, turning run defense—formerly a strength—into the defense’s biggest weakness. And Wilks himself has already had a couple 4th-quarter meltdowns and there have been rumblings of discord in the locker room. Last week’s comeback win seems to have quelled that a bit, but it’s unclear whether the comeback was due to coaching adjustments or simply an inferior opponent. But at 2-6, this team has fallen well short of even modest expectations.Grade: F. Even Leftwich’s promotion and the two divisional wins can’t keep the staff from flunking. A 2-6 record is simply inexcusable for the talent on this roster. Wilks and Co. have looked in over their heads thus far. Are they coaching for their jobs in the second half?QuarterbacksSam Bradford was absolutely putrid to start the season. But until the 4th quarter last week, rookie Josh Rosen hadn’t been much better—suggesting the problems with the offense ran much deeper than the guy under center. Still, despite his struggles (55.6 completion %, 6.3 YPA, 6 INTs), his 38.1 QBR is actually ranked ahead of all the other rookie starters... but it still ranks #29 in the league. Can he improve on that in the second half under Leftwich?Grade: C-. Bradford gets an F, Rosen gets a C+ (graded on a rookie curve), so we’ll call it a C- between the two. Quarterback isn’t the reason we’re 2-6, but it’s certainly not a strength either.Running BacksDavid Johnson simply hasn’t been the same player he was in 2016 (pre-injury and pre-Mike McCoy). He’s on pace for a paltry 788 rushing yards (at 3.2 YPC) and 48 receptions for 414 yards—well off his 1000/1000 preseason goal. But he’s been making it count in the red zone with 6 total TDs so far, so at least he hasn’t been a total fantasy bust. And he did get 100 total yards (on the nose) last week, perhaps a sign of better days ahead under Leftwich. Rookie backup Chase Edmonds has been ineffective in his limited usage (22/61, 2.8 YPC) and fullback has been as much an afterthought as it was under Bruce Arians.Grade: C-. DJ’s touchdown total saves this grade from the D range. Hopefully he can get it going in the second half of the season under the guidance of Lord Byron.Wide Receivers/Tight EndsSecond-round pick Christian Kirk has had a solid rookie season thus far, catching 31 balls on 44 targets for 410 yards (13.2 YPR) and 2 TDs—including last week’s game-winner. He has shown great chemistry with Rosen and looks like he’ll be a key contributor on offense for years to come. Larry Fitzgerald has been hobbled by injuries for most of the year, but he emphatically broke out of his slump last week, going 8/102/1 TD, which was highly encouraging. Ricky Seals-Jones has been鈥?fine (19/216/1 TD). Outside of those three Cheap David Johnson Jersey , the rest of the WRs/TEs have combined for 21 catches on 48 targets for 202 yards (9.0 YPC) and 1 TD. Yikes. This unit is going to need a lot of reinforcements this offseason. Especially if Larry retires.Grade: D+. Solid play from Kirk and one good game from Larry is enough to prevent a failing grade, but the rest of the group drags this grade—and the offense as a whole—way down.Offensive LineLT D.J. Humphries has been mediocre at best, RT Andre Smith, LG Justin Pugh, and RG Mike Iupati have all struggled with minor injuries and have been generally unimpressive, rookie C Mason Cole has been decent, and backup T/G John Wetzel has struggled when pressed into extended action (especially at guard). The result is the 10th-most sacks given up in the league (22) and the worst rushing offense in the league by 10 yards (67.5 Y/GM), to go along with the lowest YPC (3.4). This group needs a dramatic infusion of talent this offseason.Grade: D. Some of the numbers above may be partially due to the Mike McCoy effect, but no one watching Cardinals games this season would mistake this line for even a league-average unit.Offensive GradeGrade: F. Even with several mitigating factors (first-year HC, fired OC, rookie QB, lack of talent at WR/OL), this offense has been atrocious—#31 in passing yards per game, #32 in rushing yards per game, #31 in points per game. There’s talent on this offense, but it’s been utterly misused thus far. The only sign of hope is that 4th quarter against the 49ers last week. If Larry is healthy, Rosen has clean pockets, and we play with a bit more tempo, the offense can get to a passing grade in the second half of the season. In Lord Byron we trust?Defensive LineDTs Corey Peters, Robert Nkemdiche, and Rodney Gunter have all been average or better per Pro Football Focus, so it’s hard to pin the team’s struggles against the run on them. (Although getting Peters and Nkemdiche fully healthy over the bye week would be a huge boon.) Chandler Jones is in the midst of another strong season, and he should find himself in the top 10 in sacks again by the end of the year (he’s currently #11). Opposite Jones for most of the year, Benson Mayowa has been a pleasant surprise, consistently getting pressure on the QB and holding up well in the run game. Markus Golden doesn’t look quite all the way back from his torn ACL, but he’s come on of late and should get even stronger as the season goes on.Grade: B+. This unit has been a strength thus far. I’d just like to see a bit more explosiveness out of these guys—more penetration from the DTs and a monster second half from Jones.LinebackersIt’s tough to properly grade this unit since Wilks and Holcomb have been playing much more 4-2-5 than true 4-3. Of the LBs, Josh Bynes has seen by far the most snaps, and he’s been a pleasant surprise, ranking third on the team in tackles and scoring a TD on a fumble return in the Week 5 win in San Francisco. Former 1st-round picks Haason Reddick and Deone Bucannon have seen their playing time fluctuate, with the former outplaying the latter of late, but neither has distinguished himself. Overall, the team’s struggles against the run are probably equally traceable to the 4-2-5 scheme as to the play of this unit.Grade: C. Bynes has been solid and Reddick is coming on, but this group has been the Achilles’ heel of the defense a bit. Can Wilks and Holcomb figure out how to use them best down the stretch?SecondaryThis unit has been the true strength of the team—especially the safeties. Budda Baker is playing at a Pro Bowl level (72 tackles http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/josh-bynes-jersey-cheap , 8 for a loss, 2 sacks, a fumble return TD), and Antoine Bethea (67 tackles) and Tre Boston (3 INTs) aren’t too far behind. Patrick Peterson has mostly adjusted well to Holcomb’s zone-heavy scheme, and Bene Benwikere has solidified the CB2 spot opposite him. Overall, these guys have only given up only 9 passing TDs in 8 games—second-fewest in the league.Grade: A-. You can’t really ask these guys to do much more than they’ve done. But they’ll need to keep it up in the second half, with Patrick Mahomes II, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, and Matthew Stafford coming up after the bye.Defensive GradeGrade: B. Run defense has been our bugaboo thus far, but we’re actually about league-average on a per-play basis (4.3 YPC, #18 in the league). However, since our offense hasn’t been able to stay on the field and we have struggled a bit on 3rd down, we’ve faced by far the most rushing attempts in the league (268). As a result, we’re dead-last in total rushing yardage. This gulf between per-play effectiveness and total yardage likely explains why we’re actually up at #13 against the run in DVOA. So I’m giving the team a bit of a pass on that facet of defense. Combine that with our 24 sacks (#2 in the league) and those 9 TD passes against, and Cardinals fans should be relatively happy with the way the defense has played overall.Special TeamsSpecial teams were long a weakness under Bruce Arians (and Amos Jones), but I’m pleased to report that they have been merely mediocre this year, ranked #19 in DVOA. Phil Dawson obviously struggled against Seattle in Week 4, but he hasn’t missed a kick since then or an extra point all year. Andy Lee has been rock solid, as has return coverage in both phases. You’d like fewer penalties and more out of the return game, but maybe T.J. Logan will give us a boost there in the final 8 games now that he’s out of purgatory.Grade: C. There’s not much to rave or complain about in this phase for the first 8 games. I think most Cardinals fans would be happy if we remained in the top 20 of the DVOA rankings the rest of the season.Overall Team GradeGrade: D+. Look, this has been one of the worst teams in the league the first half of the season. No one was really expecting a playoff berth, but there’s too much talent on this roster to be languishing at 2-6 with one of the worst offenses in the league in decades. There’s no way this team has earned a passing grade thus far, and only the relatively solid play of the defense keeps it out of the F range.Final ThoughtsGoing into the second half of the season, the offense needs to build on that 4th quarter against the 49ers, the defense needs to button up their issues against the run, and special teams needs to get a spark in the return game out of Logan and Kirk. Do those things and a passing grade—and a, say, 6-10 record—are achievable. Whether or not we do so is up to Wilks and his staff. If we can’t, they may all be looking for jobs in a couple months. So how would you grade the team’s performance the first half of the season, Redbirds fans? Does a D+ sound right? Is to too low—or too generous? Hand out your own grades in the comments!

Ohio State hosts Michigan Saturday in 2018’s Game of the Century of the Year. (It had looked like Alabama-LSU would take that mantle. It did not live up to it.) Both were in varying degrees of trouble against lesser teams in Week 12 Authentic Takkarist McKinley Jersey , with Ohio State needing so much luck to beat Maryland in overtime and Michigan messing around for a while before pulling away from Indiana. But both won, and this game’s as big as ever. Like every Michigan-Ohio State meeting, this one has enough subtext to fill a book. The winner wins the Big Ten East (as is typical) and will be heavily favored in the conference title game (ditto), where a Playoff berth will be within reach (same). It’s a massive even without its many interpersonal subplots, like the Wolverines visiting Columbus for the first time since The Spot and the first time since Urban Meyer maybe taunted Jim Harbaugh via milk. Everyone involved has a great opportunity. But Michigan has lots of opportunities. A win at the Horseshoe would extinguish a lot of popular narratives about Jim Harbaugh’s program, or at least go a long way toward it. Narrative: Michigan (and Harbaugh) can’t beat Ohio StateI feel like I’m pushing the contextual limits of the word “narrative” here, because it’s often used to describe conventional wisdom the user doesn’t think is grounded in reality. Well, this one is absolutely grounded in reality. Michigan’s lost 13 of 14 in this series, which has come to resemble a “rivalry” between a grizzly bear and a salmon. Ohio State’s six wins in a row cover Harbaugh’s three-plus-year tenure. The narrative here is true: Ohio State has claimed total and complete ownership of Michigan over the years. One game wouldn’t erase all that history, but it would remove the word “can’t” from the equation for this era of Michigan football. Narrative: Michigan can’t win big games on the road. This one took a bit of a hit earlier this year. Michigan had lost 17 road games in a row against ranked teams, a run that started at Troy Smith’s Ohio State in 2006 and ran until a win at Michigan State a few weeks ago. Beating MSU, despite a lot of stars seeming to align for a stupid Spartan upset, was a big deal. That’s not the same as winning a game like this one, though. Michigan State might well not even finish the season ranked. No one ever knows if the Spartans are great or terrible, probably least of all the Spartans themselves. This would be the road win to fully put to bed any notion that Harbaugh’s Wolverines can’t come through in tough environments. Narrative: Harbaugh can’t even finish in the top two in his division.Michigan’s Big Ten East finishes under Harbaugh so far: third, third, and fourth, just a small notch above the division’s Indianas and Marylands. This is mainly a funny thing to point out on the internet, because it’s not like finishing in second instead of third would do anything at all to placate Michigan fans. Good news: This one gets dealt with win or lose. Michigan can’t finish worse than second in the East. The bad news: No Michigan fans will think that’s a cool consolation. Narrative: Harbaugh’s just not a big-game coach, period. It’s persisted in some corners, because Harbaugh’s never won The Game at Michigan and didn’t win The Big Game for the 49ers. You can say he made it to a Super Bowl, and your anti-Harbaugh friend will tell you he lost that Super Bowl to his brother and should’ve told Alex Smith not to try Richard Sherman in the end zone that one time in Seattle. Only four active FBS head coaches have ever won a national title, so saddling anyone who hasn’t as a big-game loser isn’t fair. Harbaugh’s Stanford also beat the snot out of Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl at the end of the 2010 season http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/matt-bosher-jersey , and that was reasonably big. But this would be Harbaugh’s biggest win as a college coach, and arguably his biggest win at any level, depending on your view of his NFC Championship win over the Falcons in 2012. Narrative: Harbaugh can’t win rivalry games. This tag has little to support it beyond three losses to Ohio State. He’s had his teams plenty competitive against Michigan State and Penn State and would’ve beaten OSU in 2016 if officials had ruled J.T. Barrett down a centimeter short of where they did on a fourth down.Harbaugh’s Stanford beat USC three out of four times, including making Pete Carroll furious during one of the biggest upsets ever. While he was in Palo Alto, Harbaugh also beat Notre Dame and Cal two times apiece out of four. He did lose to Carroll’s Seahawks in the Sherman/Michael Crabtree game in January 2014, and maybe that’s stuck a bit, because it’s one of the most remembered NFL games of this decade. These sentiments have attached themselves to Harbaugh to varying degrees, with varying levels of fairness. This is his chance to blow away all of them. Or they could persist for another year, and maybe for eternity. Because if the Wolverines can’t beat this drab-looking Buckeyes team, when can Michigan win? We’ll see. 2017 was a magical season for the Eagles. They won the Super Bowl with a back up quarterback who also was named the game’s MVP. Think about that for a second. We see backup quarterbacks littered around the NFL who can barely keep an offense functional. Nick Foles was out here leading his team to a 41-33 win. The Eagles lost their left tackle, middle linebacker, special teams ace and their scat running back to injury, and none of it bothered Foles. They kept ticking along. To sum up their 2017 season — “Everything went right”It’s a different story for the 2018 Eagles, who enter Week 10 at 4-4. The law of averages is catching up with them. It’s hard to pinpoint just one or two reasons why they aren’t as good this season, but I’ll try. The Eagles on offense are ranked 21st by Football Outsiders DVOA. Last season they were eighth on the back of an outstanding run game. Last season they averaged 4.47 yards on the ground per rush, were eighth on third downs and first in the red zone. This season they average 4.1 per rushing attempt, are 13th on third down and 18th in the red zone. Small changes in the offense are adding up to bigger issues on the whole. So where do these issues get fixed? I think we are seeing the Eagles slowly work it out. The offenseFoles started the season at quarterback but wasn’t the same player we saw in the NFC championship game or the Super Bowl. No surprise there. All offseason, I said that Foles is a back up quarterback; that’s his ceiling. There’s a reason for that. And he played like a backup to start the year. Despite the Eagles record, Carson Wentz has actually played better than last season. He’s completing 70 percent of passes and has a higher passer rating (101.9 to 109.6). His yards per attempt are up (8.7), but his yards per completions are down a bit (11.2). He seems to get stronger each week.Another difference between this year and last is the pass protection. Last season the Eagles gave up 32 sacks in 16 games. This season it’s already 26. I covered the offensive line woes more in depth for this article I did for the Athletic earlier this week. In short, shit happens. It’s a whole bunch of random issues that are leading to more sacks. It’s not one thing or another where I can say “fix this and it will be ok.” It’s random stuff like defenses calling the right call, running backs getting confused, lineman tripping Womens Brandon Fusco Jersey , etc. The law of averages is real. The run game has also taken a step back, no surprise. They’ve had too many injuries at that position. Injuries on the offensive line. Teams were loading the box early in the season, not scared of Foles. Now, Lane Johnson is banged up, and Jason Peters has a torn bicep. Their backup isn’t quite the same player. They’ve been rotating at left guard too. It’s just not going like planned. The defenseLet’s turn our attention to defense. Last season, wow! It was awesome, right? Second in rushing defense, eighth in pass defense. Their defensive line was getting after the quarterback. But remember this, it’s easier to rush the passer when you’re up 17 in the fourth quarter and opponents have to throw. It’s not quite the same this season. When these games are closer, it’s been easy to see some mismatches in the Eagles secondary that might have been masked by the pass rush last season. Also what’s odd about the numbers for the Eagles rushing defense is their overall raw numbers don’t add up with the advanced stats. The reason I like using DVOA is that it measures how successful each rep was. For example, if the goal was getting 4 yards on first down and you rush for 3, that’s not a successful play. If it was third-and-1 and you got 3, that’s a successful play. Not all 3 yard runs are the same. That’s the simplest way I can explain it. The Eagles are second in rushing yards per game, but 23rd in rushing DVOA. So teams are moving the ball on the ground against them, but those teams are choosing to throw it anyway. I do wonder if that trend will change moving forward.Where do the Eagles go from here? This was a fabulous time for a bye, right in the middle of the season. It gave them time to get healthy and do a full audit of the team. We’ve seen Doug Pederson and his staff to use this time wisely in the past, and I believe they’ll have a renewed game plan and focus moving forward. Also, they play in a bad division this season. The Cowboys stink, and stink even more on the road. Washington has been up and down. The Giants, well, they are the Giants. I think the Eagles win the NFC East and have a showdown with the Panthers in the Wild Card Round as the fourth seed. Everything will be alright in Philly.
After safety Ricardo Allen left Sunday’s game with an injury Calvin Ridley Jersey , Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said the team would talk about possibly adding an outside option at the position but said Allen’s diagnosis would play a role in the direction they chose to go.Since Quinn spoke, we learned that Allen tore his Achilles and will miss the rest of the season. Quinn was back in front of the media on Monday and said that losing their second starting safety — Keanu Neal tore his ACL on opening night — will not put the team in the market for a starting safety. That means no attempt to trade for Earl Thomas or sign Eric Reid. Quinn said, via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, that “nothing from an off the field standpoint” was involved in a decision not to pursue Reid.Quinn said the team could use Kemal Ishmael, who is listed as a linebacker, or Jordan Richards at strong safety. Damontae Kazee has been at that spot, but will move to free safety with Allen out of action. Last offseason, the assumption was the Yankees were holding back on spending in order to accomplish two goals: one, to stay under the luxury tax for the first time in the history of said tax in order to reset the penalties, and two, to keep room on the payroll for adding a top-tier free agent like Bryce Harper or Manny Machado before the 2019 season. New York accomplished that first goal, as it looks like just the Red Sox and Nationals will end up paying the luxury tax in 2018. As for the second, well, the Yankees have been pretending they won’t make big free agency moves this winter, except, maybe they aren’t pretending after all. General manager Brian Cashman prefers the Yankees stay under the luxury tax threshold again Authentic Terrell McClain Jersey , so as “to not line the pockets of opponents to use that (revenue) against us.”That is some incredible bullshit, to be frank. The luxury tax penalties aren’t that severe, not by a long shot: the Red Sox crossed not just the first, but also the second luxury tax threshold in 2018 by spending $238.4 million, meaning they have another round of taxing on top of them, which will result in a penalty of ... $11.3 million. That money will go into the central fund to be distributed to the small-market clubs (MLB is phasing out the 15 largest markets from collecting revenue-sharing funds), which means the Red Sox are mostly financing like, an extra September call-up for teams in 2019.The Yankees have paid out $341 million in luxury tax penalties in the previous 15 years in which they’ve exceeded the threshold, but even dividing that up over 15 years and splitting it among the rest of the teams doesn’t mean New York is, say, financing their rivals’ success. As a whole, sure, the Yankees are taking part in a process that helps smaller market teams make up for revenue disparities when you’re talking about all of the money going from one place to another through the central fund and revenue-sharing, but the Yankees alone aren’t financing it all. Plus, with the way revenue-sharing works in the first place, 31 percent of a team’s net revenue goes into the central fund Youth Takkarist McKinley Jersey , anyway, so if the Yankees aren’t spending profits on Bryce Harper or Manny Machado, they’re just going to end up giving part of that money back to the league, anyway, and then the Royals can use it to help pay Alcides Escobar to be a terrible shortstop or whatever. The Yankees seem to be putting a lot of effort into making their fans not feel like Harper or Machado will be in pinstripes in 2019 and beyond, and while it could certainly still be a negotiating tactic and posturing to let Harper and Machado know that New York is perfectly happy to enter 2019 without them, it might also be Cashman and the Steinbrenners letting fans know that, just because they lost in the American League Division Series to their rivals doesn’t mean they’re going to go all The Boss on the rest of the league and start adding payroll on top of payroll. Not when there are some profits to be had by working on the margins and staying under the luxury tax threshold again.Obviously the Yankees should be in on players like Harper and Machado, but it’s also the bad teams that should be chasing the two best free agents out there. Let Grant Brisbee explain. The Nationals offered Bryce Harper a record-setting contract that he turned down. Whitney McIntosh sorted out what Washington’s motivations were. Here’s what the Farhan Zaidi hiring means for the Giants. The Mariners and Rays are set to make a trade, with Mike Zunino and Guillermo Heredia heading to the Rays in order to bring Mallex Smith back to Seattle. That’s not the only Rays’ trade news, as Blake Snell just might be untouchable this offseason.A significant part of the Red Sox success in 2018 can be attributed to the long-awaited breakout of shortstop Xander Bogaerts.Brian Cashman usually isn’t so open with his plans, but yet, there he is explaining his Sonny Gray ideas. It’s not expected that Michael Brantley will re-sign with Cleveland.Mike Fast, former Baseball Prospectus writer and key piece of the analytics side of the Astros’ front office, has now joined the Braves as a special assistant to the GM.
Falcons injury news: Devonta Freeman’s foot not long-term Black Deion Jones Jersey , but unsure if he plays week 6 against Buccaneers 2018 has turned into an unending slew of injuries to countless key players, and Devonta Freeman is no exception. He finished out Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers without any known issues, then popped up midweek with a foot injury that kept him out of practice. Freeman’s injury was later reported as a foot contusion. Per Google, that’s basically a bad, painful bruise. That is not preferable, but per ESPN’s Dan Graziano, not nearly as bad as the bone contusion that kept him out three games. While fans are likely more concerned about the potential return of Grady Jarrett to a struggling defensive line, Freeman should provide another weapon against Mike Smith’s vanilla defense. Today’s injury report will be pretty important, but Freeman is the type of established veteran that does not have to practice to play on Sunday. NFL players get lots and lots of gear over the course of a season. Gloves, cleats, practice jerseys, hoodies Black Grady Jarrett Jersey , and more all accumulate as the weeks wear on. Most gets thrown into an athlete’s rotation, worn for a bit and then replaced with newer, better items. But if a player never shows up, that gear builds up into piles. And if he sits out the entire season, like Le’Veon Bell is doing in Pittsburgh, that pile of equipment and clothing becomes fair game. The Steelers cleaned out Bell’s locker Wednesday, one day after his final deadline to report to practice before being disqualified from the season came and went without an appearance from the veteran tailback. That meant anything left behind was up for grabs. For linebacker Bud Dupree, that meant some new cleats. “I appreciate the cleats my guy, you know what I’m saying,” Dupree told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “I hope for you the best, but I’m taking all of this on right now.”It wasn’t just cleats that were going fast, although those were a popular item and a nice bonus for the team’s hard working practice squad players. Some of Bell’s leftover personal items got tossed into the mix as well. But while the team may have been frustrated by Bell’s failure to report Black Logan Paulsen Jersey , Fowler reported the raid on his old locker seemed “more playful than malicious.”Update: It looks like most of Bell’s stuff is getting sent to him. No word on Dupree’s new cleats, however. It’s just the next step in the Steelers’ journey beyond BellBell refused to play under the franchise tag this fall, forfeiting $14.54 million in salary in order to stay healthy in his quest for a long term deal with major guaranteed money in 2019. While that’s kept the former All-Pro out of Pittsburgh’s lineup, the emergence of second-year tailback James Conner has eased the pain of losing Bell. Conner currently ranks second in the NFL with 771 rushing yards and also has 39 receptions through nine games. That’s made the Steelers eager to put Bell’s holdout in their rear view.“You know what the thing about it he is not here, he’s not going to be here, so we don’t talk about it,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told the media Wednesday afternoon. “I texted him yesterday before the deadline saying I hope he is going to show up, and if he decided not to then I wish him the best. He was a great teammate here, a great football player. To each his own on what they want to walk away from.”Pittsburgh finally got some closure in the Bell situation when he failed to report before the Nov. 13 deadline. Divvying up the former All-Pro’s stuff falls somewhere near the “acceptance” stage of the Kubler-Ross model. The question now is whether or not any of the team’s linemen were able to fit into any of Bell’s old gear, or if the Steelers’ larger gentlemen were left in the lurch one final time by their former teammate.
The Detroit Lions have a relatively short injury list Womens Devon Kennard Jersey , and it looks like most of the players that are on it are trending towards playing this week. Of the seven players currently dealing with an injury, five of them were full participants in Thursday’s practice. That includes starting right guard T.J. Lang, who is working his way through concussion protocol. Now that he’s fully participated in practice, he’s very likely to play this week. The same goes for Michael Roberts, who was limited in practice Wednesday, but was full participant Thursday. Roberts has been out since Week 2 but looks like he’ll be ready to return against the Dolphins. However, Ezekiel Ansah remains just limited in practice with a shoulder injury suffered in Week 1. Ansah hasn’t had a full practice since the injury, but—outside of Week 4’s prep—Ansah has been on the practice field every week. At this point, your guess is as good as mine for his availability this week.Lions running back Theo Riddick remains out with a knee injury. At 235 pounds, Burns is a bit thin for the position, so he’ll need to pack on a few pounds if he wants to stay in there on running downs Authentic Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , but his athleticism and pass rushing skills are why he’s being talked about as a top-10 pick right now. Burns exhibits a variety of moves to get to the quarterback, and has the fluidity and flexibility to contort his way around opposing tackles consistently. Of his notable pass rushing moves, Burns’ spin move is probably his most notable and deadly move, which he put on display in Week 1 against Virginia Tech. I don’t know what’s more impressive, the spin move or the ability to redirect his eyes and change directions after the spin move to bring the quarterback down. Burns is the type of pass rusher and athlete the Lions desperately need on the edge, and sadly, while Burns might hear is name called early in the draft, that could be where the Lions are picking. IDL Raekwon Davis (Alabama) 6-foot-7, 317 pounds, Junior#22 Texas A&M at #1 Alabama | 3:30 p.m. EST on CBSEither you’re sick of Alabama prospects because of A’Shawn Robinson or you don’t really care and you’re pretty excited about how Da’Shawn Hand is performing as a rookie so far. I tend to not believe in the horse crap theory of “never draft a player from (enter school here) because we haven’t had much luck there,” because every player is different. I seriously had someone tell me that they wouldn’t even consider looking at Duke linebacker Joe Giles-Harris, because Laken Tomlinson didn’t work out for us, and there haven’t been many good players to come from Duke’s football program. Um, okay. Davis is a monster http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/nevin-lawson-jersey , physically, and it often takes two defenders to impede him, sometimes even three. Some have compared Davis—due to his size and skill—to 49ers defensive lineman, DeForest Buckner who is fresh off of a dominating performance against Frank Ragnow and the rest of the Lions’ O-line. Davis is a work in progress as a pass rusher but shows signs of dominance with his raw strength and also does a nice job of getting underneath the pads of opposing O-linemen despite his height. With some work with former Alabama DL coach Bo Davis, Davis could see his potential unlocked with the Lions.Raekwon Davis showed up huge during Alabama’s biggest games last year. We are still waiting for any Lions interior D-lineman to show up at any time this year. LB Devin White (LSU) 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, JuniorLouisiana Tech at #6 LSU | 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPNUI left White off of my watch list from last week when highlighting last week’s LSU game because I hadn’t really watched any film on him yet, so I decided to follow my own advice and give that game a watch. It was hard not to notice White, who was flying around the field and constantly near the ball at the end of every play. The most notable play came on an important fourth-and-1, where White blew up the play and caused a turnover on downs, then celebrated with Cam Newton’s own “Superman” pose to the Auburn crowd. The range and athleticism jump at you when watching White, and those traits are huge in today’s prototype NFL off-ball linebacker. However, in a way, White reminds me a little of Jarrad Davis at times with his hesitance and recklessness in pursuit. White is prone to missing a tackle or two and occasionally overcommits on fakes. S Jaquon Johnson (Miami) 5-foot-11 Womens Christian Jones Jersey , 190 pounds, SeniorFIU at #21 Miami (FL) | 3:30 p.m. EST on ESPN2With the Lions’ secondary not performing all that well to start the year, Glover Quin appearing to “lose a step” and Tavon Wilson getting abused by the opposing team creating mismatches against him, the safety position shot up pretty high on the list of needs for Detroit.Unfortunately, Johnson may not be able to play in today’s game against FIU, but I still wanted to take this chance to talk about one of my early favorite prospects in the draft, at a position that the Lions may be coveting early. Make sure that when you do get a chance, to give Johnson a watch.Johnson is your typical, versatile safety that can move around the field and step up into man coverage if need be. He’s also very opportunistic and gravitates toward Miami’s infamous “Turnover Chain,” forcing seven turnovers last year (four INTs and three forced fumbles). The Lions could really use an athletic safety and big-time playmaker on this defense, and I think Jaquan Johnson would be a fantastic fit for their secondary. Whether he suits up or not today, keep an eye out for him the rest of the year. It’ll be hard to miss him.

It’s the first time the Patriots have had back-to-back losses of that magnitude since 2002.“I don’t really care anything about any other year http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/sam-martin-jersey , or any other team, or any other month or anything else,” coach Bill Belichick told reporters on Monday regarding the question of putting a loss behind him. “We’ve just got to take a look at the situation we’re in right now and figure out how to improve it. That’s what we’ll try to do.”They have their work cut out for them. The Dolphins come to Gillette Stadium on Sunday, looking for their first win there since the Wildcat game of 2008. A loss by the home team also would result in the first Patriots three-game losing streak since a 3-0 start in 2002 became 3-4.“I feel pretty sure that everybody that participated in the game — player or coach — feels like they could’ve done a better job Authentic Ziggy Ansah Jersey ,” Belichick said regarding Sunday night’s loss to the Lions and former New England defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. “I certainly feel that way. I know every member of the coaching staff feels that way. I talked to quite a few of the players after the game and they all feel that way, too. We just have to go back to work and find a way to all do a better job than that.”It may be much easier said that done. The Patriots simply don’t seem to have the talent that they need to compete with quality opponents, which means that scheme and effort and other things related to knowing what needs to be done won’t matter if they simply can’t physically do it.

Bears lose in overtime on last second field goal to the Dolphins Youth Quandre Diggs Jersey , 31-28Boy was the schadenfreude heavy in this battle between two teams that actively tried to give the game away. The Bears had a rough start to the game scoring a goose egg in the first half, but only trailed by seven as their defense settled down and contained Brock Osweiler—who got the nod over an injured Ryan Tannehill—and the rest of the Dolphins’ offense. Results from Windy City Gridiron’s Week 7 FanPulse survey. The Bears would come roaring out of the gates at the start of the second half and quickly scored 14 unanswered points. But despite the resurgence from the Bears offense, Brock Osweiler, yes Brock Osweiler, managed to trade blows against the vaunted Bears defense with the help of Albert Wilson, who hauled in six catches for an impressive 155 yards and two touchdowns. When the Bears held the Dolphins offense toward the end of regulation, instead of calling a timeout to get the ball for about a minute and 30 seconds, they decided to let the clock run out instead and play for overtime. They would also get the ball into Dolphins territory in overtime after a strike of luck when Miami fumbled the ball at Chicago’s the 1-yard line, and instead of continuing their push downfield, the Bears decided to play for the 53-yard field goal and missed that, too. Miami finally put the game away on the following possession on a game winning 50-yard field goal on the foot of their rookie kicker, Jason Sanders. This was really the first time that the Bears defense had looked vulnerable all year, and boy did they look bad. On the offensive side of the ball, Mitchell Trubisky had a nice game on the statsheet, but that doesn’t include the two or three throws that were nearly intercepted and could have spelled an early disaster for them. And it wasn’t just him, as Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen also had costly turnovers. On the positive side for the Bears, Kyle Fuller is still really good as a No. 1 cornerback and notched two interceptions. Tarik Cohen also looks electric and aside from his costly fumble, I thought he had a great game. Another player that impressed me was Taylor Gabriel, who has proven to be a nice addition to the Bears offense. I fear what he might do to Nevin Lawson this year. Next game: vs Patriots (3-2)Vikings dance their way to victory over Cardinals, 27-17The Cardinals held a lead very briefly halfway through the first quarter http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-glover-quin-jersey , but the Vikings would come soaring back with a touchdown of their own and never looked back. Latavius Murray had himself a career game with 155 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries and Adam Thielen kept up his dominance, hauling in 11 receptions for 123 yards and a TD for himself. The man with the moves, Kirk Cousins, didn’t have the best statistical game—aside from a nice 6.9 yards per attempt—but he did have a rushing touchdown.Good for Kirk.Dan Bailey, the Vikings’ new kicker was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points which is just very unlike Vikings kickers and I’m beginning to fear that they might finally be good on all three phases of the ball again. Let’s just hope that the defense doesn’t go back to dominating. Next game: at Jets (3-3)Don’t sleep on the Jets. They might not have the best resume, but this could be a trap game for the Vikings.Mason Crosby redeems himself on game-winning field goal, Packers win 33-30 against 49ersThis was about as back-and-forth as it gets, especially for a primetime “Monday Night Football” game. Just six minutes into the first quarter, each team marched their way down the field for an early seven points and the scoring would not let up. The 49ers offense got the best of the Packers for most of the game and held the lead all the way to the end, until they didn’t. Rodgers was his old self despite his injury and spun the ball for a whopping 425 yards and two touchdowns on 46 attempts. He was more clutch than he has normally been throughout his career, capping the game off with a 10-play, 81-yard drive that led to a game-winning field goal from Mason Crosby. Crosby was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points—an obviously huge improvement over his performance last week against the Lions. Next game (10/28): at Rams (6-0)The Packers needed that win against the 49ers, as they head into their bye week, and then prepare for a difficult set of back-to-back road games against the Rams and Patriots. NFC North Week 6 standings1. Chicago Bears (3-2)2. Green Bay Packers (3-2-1)3. Minnesota Vikings (3-2-1)4. Detroit Lions (2-3)After a bye week, the Lions remain at the bottom of the NFC North, but this was still a successful week for them, as they’re only one game back from the lead currently. The Bears face a tough opponent in the Patriots next week, while the Vikings face a possible trap game on the road against the Jets. If the Lions manage to beat the Dolphins in Miami, there is a real chance that they could position themselves to possibly take lead of the North within a couple weeks, as long as they keep winning. We’ll see. While the Detroit Lions’ overall performance against the Chicago Bears was nowhere near acceptable Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , there were some serious silver linings to take solace in. Here’s a look at the highest graded Lions player on each side of the ball, according to Pro Football Focus.OffenseIt was an ugly day on offense against the Bears, but the two best performers were their skill-position players. Theo Riddick—the Lions’ new Golden Tate—had an impressive day, Since the trade, Riddick has caught 13 of his 15 targets. While Riddick isn’t alone taking over Tate’s production, he did lead all NFL running backs with 13 snaps from the slot last week, per PFF.It’s probably pretty surprising to see a couple of offensive linemen among the top five, considering the Lions gave up six sacks, but those aren’t exactly great grades for Taylor Decker or Graham Glasgow. As for Matthew Stafford, according to Brett Whitefield from PFF, he is having one of the worst streaks of his career. He has graded below 60 in three straight games (57.1 for this game). His overall grade in the past three weeks has been just 52.5, which ranks him 28th among NFL quarterbacks. His accuracy was the cause of a lot of problems against the Bears. PFF’s “adjusted completion percentage” for Stafford was only 62.5, which was the second worst among quarterbacks in Week 10.DefenseFor the third straight week, Damon Harrison has been the highest graded Lions player on defense. This week, Harrison led all Week 10interior defenders with six run stops. So maybe don’t be so hard on yourself, “Snacks.” But look at the rest of that defensive line! Ezekiel Ansah barely made the cut in terms of minimum snaps (he had exactly 15), but his high grade is based on the three pressures he created in limited opportunities. Elsewhere, both A’Shawn Robinson and Da’Shawn Hand continued their impressive season. Note how all five of these defensive players graded out better than anyone on offense. Though Ansah isn’t likely to be on the team next year, the performance of the other three defensive linemen is certainly promising for 2019. But we can’t talk about the Lions’ defensive performance against the Bears without talking about the secondary. I’ll let Whitefield break the bad news: Detroit’s secondary is badly broken. Expect it to be a huge priority this upcoming offseason.
The Oakland Raiders worked overtime to get coach Jon Gruden his first NFL win in nearly a decade Authentic Jordy Nelson Jersey , and Gruden was predictably salty after watching his team run around on a field that was largely covered by sand.Gruden, via Mike Silver of NFL Media, complained about those who still wonder whether the coach and his new quarterback, Derek Carr, are headed for an explosion or an implosion or some other type plosion.“Do they not believe me?” Gruden said, per Silver. “Do they not want to write the truth? Look, the guy’s completing almost 75 percent of his passes, and we just started working together. I mean, I love my quarterback. I wish people would just stop asking and leave me alone.”People don’t believe the words that come out of Gruden’s mouth because of — wait for it — the words that come out of Gruden’s mouth. After a Week One loss to the Rams, he groused about the team’s failure to get the ball to receiver Amari Cooper Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey , which of course was a failure of Carr to throw it to Cooper. After last week’s loss to the Dolphins, Gruden said Carr is at times trying too hard (perhaps trying to hard to — wait for it — get the ball to Cooper). There’s nothing like a win to change Gruden’s tune.“I’m so proud of him,” Gruden told Silver. “You have no idea. It was huge. This is a Gregg Williams defense. [The Browns] intercepted Ben Roethlisberger four times. Drew Brees had three points until late in the game. They shut Philly out in the preseason. They came in here giving people fits.“Derek was great. If you don’t believe me, look at the tape. Do some research. He did a hell of a job.”Before Sunday’s game, Gruden was dismayed to learn that former Raiders pass rusher Khalil Mack was continuing to do a hell of a job for the Bears.“Damn,聽Khalil Mack had another strip sack?” Gruden said as Chicago trounced Gruden’s other former team, the Buccaneers. “Are you . . . kidding me?”We’re not kidding you, Jon. And your team quite possibly would be 4-0 right now, or at least 3-1, if you valued Mack the way the Bears do. Earlier this morning Womens Derek Carr Jersey , ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders have received interest from several teams regarding a trade for Amari Cooper, but it’s the Cowboys who are considering a hard push for the Raiders receiver. This is hardly surprising, given the fact that the Cowboys sent Dez Bryant packing and did essentially nothing to replace him or retired TE Jason Witten. They’ve left Dak Prescott without any serious weapons and are struggling because of it.The Raiders have, according to Schefter’s report, received inquiries about Cooper from Washington, the Colts, and a few other teams as well. But the Cowboys would seem to have the most glaring need at receiver of those teams, and possibly in the entire league.Trade rumors surrounding Cooper are remarkably similar to those about Khalil Mack in the buildup to his being traded to the Chicago Bears. The price on Mack was at least two first-round picks and the Raiders got it. The price on Cooper is reportedly at least one first-round pick. The Cowboys are crazy enough to do just that, and are desperate enough for offensive playmakers that it might actually make sense for them. Don’t be shocked if Amari Cooper is on America’s Team before the end of October.
