Budda Baker show up on http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/deone-bucannon-jersey-cheap Wednesday injury report The Arizona Cardinals first injury report ofweek two for the Arizona Cardinals was a bit ominous. While we covered that Andre Smith situation a bit earlier, a look at the rest of the Wednesday injury report shows some troubling signs as well.David Johnson was limited with a back injury, while Budda Baker was limited with an ankle injury. While limited is not a huge issue, after one game it is a huge issue for the Cardinals who need as much talent on the field as possible. Also, it’s clear they need time working together as there wasn’t much in the way of cohesion in week one does the team.Robert Nkemdiche was also limited, which is a concern with Olsen Pierre struggling with the toe injury. Finally, seeing Markus Golden and Jermaine Gresham as limited is obviously a good thing, as both are working their way back from serious injuries and that means they are getting closer to returning.Let’s hope good health comes for the Cardinals the rest of the week.Cards Camp 2018: Arizona Cardinals training camp day 13 open thread Two days left. That’s it when it comes to open practices for the ARizona Cardinals in training camp 2018.That’s right, Cards Camp 2018 is almost gone.It has been an incredibly quick training camp for the Arizona Cardinals http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/phil-dawson-jersey-cheap , but from the sound of things, an incredibly productive one. They have built a rapport in a short amount of time and seem like they are all on the same page, with the same focus and the same goal. That is always a concern when you have the roster turnover, combined with a coaching staff turnover. If you want to venture out today, well you better be up early, as practice starts at 8am.Date Practice TimeSaturday, 7/28 1:30-4:00 PMSunday, 7/29 1:30-4:00 PM**Monday, 7/30 8:00-10:40 AMThursday http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/jamar-taylor-jersey-cheap , 8/2 3:00-5:15 PMSaturday, 8/4 1:30-4:00 PM (Red & White Practice)Monday, 8/6 3:00-5:15 PMWednesday, 8/8 1:30-4:00 PM**Thursday, 8/9 8:00-10:40 AMSaturday, 8/11 Preseason game vs. L.A. Raider football: the deep ball Of the 52 Super Bowls the NFL has played Cheap Mike Nugent Jersey , 12 franchises won a total 44 of them. It’s so hard to win a Super Bowl but once you have, you know how to. So those 12 multiple Super Bowl winning franchises mainly try to replicate those teams to do it again. Hence, legendary Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis believed the greatness of the Raiders was in the future.“We have young people in very key spots now running our organization,” Davis said when asked what that meant before he died. “While those people can use the past as a guide and can live in the tradition and the history of the organization, someone has to take this group into the future and make sure that they have greatness.”That job is the birthright of Al’s son Mark Davis and he is using the past as his guide. He started by making former Raider linebacker Reggie McKenzie the general manager. McKenzie is a disciple of Ron Wolf, who helped Al Davis build the Raiders into the NFL’s winningest organization from 1963-1974 and 1979-1989. Then shortly after, Wolf went to the Green Bay Packers, where McKenzie joined him, and built a perennial contender.Davis leaned on the past once again this offseason by finally luring head coach Jon Gruden from the television both and back to the Raiders sideline. And since he helped build a contender in Oakland to go along with the Super Bowl winners of the past, he seems to be looking to replicate parts of of them in his second stint. He has watched film from the ‘60s with players and seems to be trying to incorporate the parts he likes into what he’s doing now.“Look, we’re not running a 1964 operation here,” Gruden told the media when asked how that would help him during training camp. “But there are some things that happened in 1964 that were pretty damn good. If you don’t think so, go ahead and have a nice day.”Gruden’s offense, the West Coast offense, is a little more modern than that. But he believes in a good running game and throwing the deep ball off play action. So he has offensive line coach Tom Cable and running back Marshawn Lynch with the best interior O-line in the game to get that going this year.“I think the play-action is going to be dependent on your running game. If you can run it, you can get some strong play-action passes that have a lot of sting,” Gruden said during camp. “We threwa couple today that were beautiful. If you’re running the ball with Marshawn lynch and you’re able to establish that, I think he [Derek Carr] can be a great play-action passer. I think we’ve got some routes and some receivers that can get deep.”Yeah Cheap Johnny Townsend Jersey , he went out and got Jordy Nelson, who’s still fast, having been clocked at 22 miles per hour in camp. He also went out and got Martavis Bryant, one of the fastest men in the NFL, who once clocked in at 24 miles per hour. That speed was brought in to replace Michael Crabtree, who was cut, and Seth Roberts, who has been demoted and may be on the way out. And of course, Gruden held on to tight end speedster Jared Cook. He also drafted left tackle Kolton Miller at 15 overall to help give Carr time to get the deep ball off. Gruden is trying to give his quarterback everything he needs to get the vertical game going again because he knows how important it is. As a rookie, Carr had a passer rating of 57.9 on his deep balls and he went 3-13. In his second year, he got Amari Cooper, and his rating went up to 106.4 and he went 7-9 while still on an otherwise bad team. Then in 2016, he went 12-3 before getting injured with a passer rating 117.6 on his deep throws. Then in 2017, a combination of a bad back injury and the play-calling of 1st-time offensive coordinator Todd Downing dropped his deep-ball passer rating to 71.4. Of all the division-winning QBs in 2017, only Ben Roethlisberger and Blake Bortles had passer ratings of less than 88.5 on deep balls according to Pro Football Focus but they both had top-5 defenses. There is a correlation between throwing a good deep ball and winning in the NFL. Al Davis realized that way back in the ‘60s while building the NFL’s winningest organization up to the turn of the century. Daryle Lamonica “The Mad Bomber” won 80 percent of his games and an AFL title to go along with one trip to a Super Bowl. Ken Stabler won 72 percent of his games and one Super Bowl. Jim Plunkett won 67 percent of his games and a franchise-best two Super Bowls throwing the deep ball. Then there’s Rich Gannon, who won 61 percent of his games and went to one Super Bowl.Gruden is trying to mold Carr into something even greater than the Raider franchise QBs of the past. And he knows getting Carr to throw the deep ball well again is a big key. Davis was also a West Coast Offense disciple under its originator, Paul Brown. He just took the system in a different direction, built Raider football on it and won. And after years of watching the Raiders lose www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com , Gruden seems to be looking to rebuild Raider football on it.The 49-yard connection from Carr to Cooper on the first play of the dress rehearsal third preseason game is just the beginning. Earlier in the week the Raiders released veteran linebacker, Derrick Johnson after only six games. In a corresponding move they promoted undrafted free agent linebacker, Jason Cabinda.Cabinda, played four years as a Penn State Nittany Lion, starting in 36 of 43 games. As a senior he received second team all Big 10 honors.Cabinda made a name for himself in Happy Valley with his toughness and leadership qualities. Some of the strengths of Cabinda’s game are his ability to take on and shed blocks and his aggressive play. Cabinda earned himself first team reps with Raiders during the preseason. He was eventually cut and then signed to their practice squad.Because of his impressive play throughout the summer, the Raiders feared he could be signed to another teams active roster.“Cabinda had generated a lot of interest from other teams. We didn’t want to lose him. It was a tough decision and we got to try and improve our run defense. We are going to give Cabinda a shot,” said Gruden.Cabinda will join a group of linebackers who have been underwhelming to say the least. The Raiders run defense ranks 29th in the league, and as Gruden said Cabinda was signed to improve in this area.In the week four preseason game against Seattle, Cabinda played the entire game and finished with a team high 10 tackles. He showed up well in both the run and pass game.In college, Cabinda was known as a “thumper,” he demonstrates why on this play from the preseason. On this play he display’s his ability to diagnosis a screen pass and quickly get to the ball.He finishes the play with another big hit.The final clip, again shows his aggressive nature quickly getting to the ball carrier. It’s hard to get overly excited about film from a week four preseason game, but if there is anything to take away from the small sample size we have on Jason Cabinda it’s that he is an aggressive, reliable tackler. For years, the Raiders have struggled to find a guy they can count on in the middle of the defense.Hopefully, Cabinda can take advantage of his opportunity and help turn the defense around.
The Raiders received the ball first in this one Womens Leon Hall Jersey , and they provided some excitement with a successful fake punt on their first 4th down of the game. Rookie punter Johnny Townsend trotted 42 yards on the play, the biggest play of their 13 play, 80 yard opening drive. Unfortunately they needed to get 81 yards and fell short of the end zone while going for it on 4th and goal from the 1.Oakland’s defense forced a 3 and out after the turnover on downs and the Raiders got very favorable field position starting at the OAK 41 after the Chargers punt. They got down to the Chargers 39 but two straight dropped passes ended the Raiders drive there. They didn’t walk away empty handed this time though, they brought out Daniel Carlson for the 46 yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.Once again the Chargers offense went 3 and out so Oakland’s offense quickly found themselves back on the field again. Right off the bat they got 2 nice runs from Doug Martin and a key 3rd down reception from Martavis Bryant to get into Chargers territory. Everything was going good for Oakland until Derek Carr got lit up by LB Melvin Ingram on 3rd and 6 at the LA 21. Carr fumbled the ball on the jarring hit and DT Cory Liuget recovered the fumble and returned it to the Oakland 40. The Raiders defense did hold for a red zone stop though. The Chargers settled for a 27 yard field goal to tie the score at 3 but it was definitely a win for the Oakland defense.Oakland’s offense didn’t win on their turn with the ball again though, they went 3 and out. They actually punted this time, a 57 yard yard beauty from Johnny Townsend with a holding penalty on the Chargers so LA started at their own 9. They got out of the bad field position quickly anyway with a 31 yard pass to Ty Williams followed by a 18 yard pass to Antonio Gates and a 15 yard run by Melvin Gordon. They scored a few plays later on a 11 yard TD pass to Keenan Allen to take the lead 10-3 with just 24 seconds left in the half. Oakland kneeled out the remaining clock in the half so the Chargers led 10-3 at the half and then got the ball first in the 2nd half. It didn’t take them long to add to their lead, they scored on a 66 yard catch and run from Melvin Gordon. The 4 play, 77 yard drive only took 2:28 of clock and made the score 17-3 in what had been a 3-3 tie with just over 3 minutes left in the first half. Derek Carr got sacked on 3rd down on the Raiders following drive for another quick 3 and out, though at least Johnny Townsend hit another good punt. This one went 51 yards and was fair caught at the LA 25. Even better Womens Derek Carrier Jersey , the Raiders finally got a turnover by intercepting a deep pass attempt from Philip Rivers. Marcus Gilchrist got the interception on the punt like, toss up 3rd down pass but it was still a big turnover to end the Chargers offensive momentum. The two teams traded off punts (another good one from Townsend, this one 54 yards) after that on the next 2 drives. Then it was the Raiders that showed some signs of life, mostly thanks to Jared Cook. The big Raiders TE had a catch concert on a 3rd down play and then followed that up with a 31 yard reception down to LA 13. They’d settle for a 30 yard field goal to make the score 17-6 Chargers at the beginning of the 4th quarter.Unfortunately the Chargers matched that with a field goal of their own on their next drive. They methodically took up over 7 minutes of clock on their 12 play drive that ended with a 41 yard field goal. The points hurt with the Chargers taking a 20-6 lead, but the 7 minutes off the clock might have hurt even more with it leaving the Raiders down 14 with 7 minutes remaining.Oakland’s offense wasn’t giving up though, they quickly got into Chargers territory with a pair of big catches from Seth Roberts and one to Jalen Richard. That’s as far as they could get though, they eventually turned it over on downs when Carr seemed to not realize it was a 4th down play. He threw the ball into the dirt on a failed running back screen on 4th down, which also was a questionable play call considering it was 4th and 5 and the Raiders last real chance in the game.Los Angeles ran the clock down to just over a minute left in the game before punting on 4th and 12. Oakland’s offense then ran the rest of the clock out. Game over, 20-6 Chargers. Through eight games Womens Kolton Miller Jersey , the Raiders have given up more yards-per-play than any defense in NFL history. On a unit filled with disappointment and underachievement, linebacker Tahir Whitehead has stood out, and not in an encouraging way. The seven-year veteran has been the league’s worst coverage linebacker by a wide margin. Whitehead has been targeted almost 30 times and has allowed a perfect passer rating of 158.3 to opposing quarterbacks according to Pro Football Focus. To put that into perspective, there have been 612 instances since 2006 when a linebacker has been targeted more than 20 times through the first eight weeks of a season, Whitehead is the only one to allow a perfect passer rating. Just don’t tell that to Raiders head coach Jon Gruden. “30-for-30. Sounds like a television show or something,” Gruden joked Friday when told of the PFF numbers. “You know what, he’s been a good linebacker. He’s been a good nickel linebacker in the league for a long time. I think when you look at the kind of throws that have been complete, you have to sometimes take a look at them. Are they quick screens? Are they screen passes?”Throughout an offseason filled with the acquisition of older veterans to short-term deals, Whitehead was the exception. At just 28 years old Youth Justin Ellis Jersey , and coming off a solid season with the Detroit Lions in which he was the NFL’s 12th best linebacker against the run, Whitehead was widely viewed as one of Gruden’s best signings. Midway through the season, the narrative has completely flipped as Whitehead ranks 48th in run defense grade. Despite what the numbers show, Gruden remains steadfast in support of his linebacker. “If you’re listening, Tahir, I think you’re one heck of a linebacker.”
If you had to describe the Raiders 45-42 overtime win over the Browns http://www.raiderscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-tahir-whitehead-jersey , roller coaster should come to mind. This game had it all, controversial calls, big plays, lead changes, and overtime.Unlike the previous three games the Raiders did not lead at halftime. The Raiders trailed 28-14 midway through the third quarter and needed some Derek Carr heroics to pull this one off.Grading the teams performance is a challenge in a game like this because although the result was a Raiders win, there are many areas where the Raiders need improvement.Let’s take at the week four Raiders report card.Aerial Attack: A-It’s difficult to be too hard on Derek Carr after this one.Yes, you can question the decision making on both of his interceptions but he showed tremendous heart and a desire to win when his team needed it.Carr finished the game 35 of 58 with 437 yards and four touchdowns. He showed toughness in the overtime period when he took a big hit, was slow to get up but stayed in the game and led the Raiders offense down the field to set up the game winning field goal.Carr delivered passes to eight different receivers.Amari Cooper (8-128-1) led the way along with Jared Cook (8-110-2).Ground Game: AMarshawn Lynch takes full responsibility for this grade. The offensive line was not great but Lynch did his part grinding out 130 yards on 20 carries.Lynch’s 130 yards on the ground was his most since 2014.Lynch longest run of the day was a 52 yard gain.He also caught three balls for 27 yards.Offensive Line: B+It was a slow start for the offensive line this week but they showed some toughness and grit this week against a good Browns defense. The group paved the way for Marshawn Lynch to gain 130 yards on the ground.Going into the game a key match up was Kolton Miller versus Miles Garrett. Although Cheap Frostee Rucker Jersey , Garrett was disruptive at times was not a game wrecker.Extra points were added to the grade for the Raiders ability to deal with an injury to Donald Penn.Donald Penn did not finish the game, due to a lower leg injury.Rookie, Brandon Parker was forced into action and played well.Browns defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams is known for his exotic blitz packages, the Raiders offensive line held up well in pass protection.Defensive Line: DAs long as the defensive line continues to lack a pass rush and get gashed for big plays on the ground they will earn low grades.Maurice Hurst kept this group from getting an F.Hurst came up with a huge sack, fumble late in the third quarter. The play started the comeback for the Raiders. Three plays later, the Raiders closed the gap to 28-21. The Browns gained 208 yards on 31 carries, while rushing for three touchdowns. Linebackers: C+Marquel Lee led the way for the linebackers Cheap Mike Nugent Jersey , playing his best game as a Raider.Lee did a little bit of everything today showing up in the run (10 tackles) and pass (2 pass deflections). The reason for the C+ is too many missed tackles.Missed tackles by Whitehead and Lee led to both of Nick Chubb’s touchdowns.Secondary: BThe secondary forced two turnovers today, Gareon Conley intercepted the first pass of his career and took it to the house. The secondary get’s graded on a bit of a curve because the pass rush is so bad they can’t be expected to cover for as long as they are asked to.Baker Mayfield had all day to scan the field and find an open receiver. The Raiders defense and secondary in particular benefited from several Browns drops.Special Teams: B+The special teams unit played a critical role in the win for the Raiders.Keep in mind the kicker, punter, and long snapper were all rookies.Newly signed kicker, Matt McCrane made 3 of 5 attempts. His first miss isn’t completely his fault. The kick took place on the infield dirt and the ball slipped on the dirt while be placed by Johnny Townsend.McCrane made the one that mattered, a 29 yard, game winner in overtime. The kick cover teams were on point, continuously limiting the Browns returns to no gains and putting the Browns offense is poor starting position. Dwayne Harris was excellent in covering kicks and returning kicks. His longest return of the day was a 49 yard punt return. Overall Grade: B It wasn’t always pretty but the Raiders did just enough to get a much needed win. Men crying in public is nothing new.Throughout history there has been plenty of famous men who were spotted with tears flowing.Years ago it was unacceptable for men to cry.Men have always been a symbol of strength and emotional stability. However Cheap Johnny Townsend Jersey , times are a changing.Men crying in public is far less taboo and much more acceptable than ever before. There is a great debate surrounding Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks at Wembley Stadium in London.Bay area radio personality, Damon Bruce tweeted out a video of what appeared to be Derek Carr crying after being sacked for the sixth time. After the sack Carr was in obvious pain as he grabbed onto his non-throwing, left arm.The video has gone viral on social media, but if you have not yet seen it, have a look for yourself. Was he really crying?Maybe that is just sweat rolling down his face?On second thought, it was a rainy day in London, perhaps some drops fell onto his face? There is no way he could be crying after that hit, Carr didn’t cry after fracturing his leg in 2016 or his transverse process fracture in 2017.Derek Carr is a tough guy. In Gruden’s post game press conference he admitted that Carr was lobbying to get back into the game.Gruden said that he was not going to allow Carr to finish the game and would have gone with back up AJ McCarron. It was all a moot point because the Seahawks ran out the final minutes on the clock. The Raiders offense would never touch the field after the Carr injury.Maybe Derek Carr didn’t cry www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com , but Sunday’s abysmal performance certainly had men across Raider nation shedding a tear or two. This season has been a total disaster on all accounts. It’s hard to imagine that just nine months ago the expectations were sky high when Jon Gruden was announced as the new Head Coach. Now, only six weeks into the season, with a 1-5 record, it’s time to begin thinking about the 2019 Draft. With 10 games remaining on the schedule it would be wise for fans to stock up on tissues, you might just need them.
Final Score 26-10: Raiders Youth Kelechi Osemele Jersey offense utterly stagnant in loss to Chargers The Los Angeles Chargers received the ball first at home in this one so the Oakland Raiders began the game on defense. They gave up two big plays on the drive, a 17 yard pass to Keenan Allen and a 16 yard run by Melvin Gordon. After that the defense settled down though and eventually ended the Chargers drive with a Bruce Irvin sack on 3rd down. The sack forced a 49 yard field goal attempt for LA that they successfully made for a 3-0 lead. The Chargers one upped Bruce Irvin’s sack with a 3rd down sack of their own but their’s forced a Raiders punt on Oakland’s first offensive drive of the game. Their offense again got a big completion to Keenan Allen on their drive but the Raiders defense came up with a big stop from Darryl Worley just outside of field goal range to force the Chargers punt. After that it was the Raiders turn to get on the board. They started off their drive with first down completions to Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant followed by tough running from Marshawn Lynch down to inside the Chargers 5 yard line. They couldn’t get any closer from there though so they settled for a 23 yard kick from Matt McCain which tied the game at 3.There wasn’t a single first down between the two teams over the next 4 drives in a row. Unfortunately it was the Chargers who finally broke the streak. Then after finally getting a 1st down, they went 44 yards on a catch and run TD to back up RB Austin Ekeler on the very next play. The big strike almost never happened with Philip Rivers almost fumbling the shot gun snap, but instead the play resulted in the Chargers retaking the lead 10-3.The very first play of the Raiders drive was a big catch and run by Martavis Bryant, except he didn’t secure the ball tightly and it was easily stripped away while he was running for a turnover. The Raiders then gave up 11 yard reception to Keenan Allen and another big catch and run to a Chargers running back, this time a 34 yard play to Melvin Gordon who would have scored had he not tripped over himself at the Oakland 10. Gordon made up for falling on his own with a 9 yard run to the 1, followed by punching it in from there on 3rd down to make the score 17-3.Oakland had 1:39 before the end of the half starting at their own 25 after a touchback on the ensuing kickoff. They managed to get close enough to try a 57 yard field goal attempt thanks to a couple of Seth Roberts completions and one to Jared Cook. Unfortunately the kick was no good after falling just short. The Chargers had 6 seconds before halftime after that with getting the ball at their own 47. They completed one play for 10 yards before attempting a Hail Mary that was knocked down incomplete, however Bruce Irvin idiotically committed a roughing the passer penalty to give the Chargers a field goal attempt. Luckily the kick sailed left Womens Johnny Townsend Jersey , but that doesn’t make the Irvin penalty any less stupid. He literally took two steps after the ball was gone before shoving Rivers to the ground.Oakland got the ball first in the 2nd half but did nothing with it. Less than nothing in fact, they lost 7 yards before punting on 4th and 17. The Chargers started their first possession of the 2nd half at their own 26 after the punt. They quickly got into Raiders territory with passes to Keenan Allen and WR Mike Williams, along with a big 3rd and 11 conversion from TE Antonio Gates down to the OAK 21. The defense did come up with the stop after that to hold LA to a 30 yard field goal which made the score 20-3.Derek Carr and the Raiders offense desperately needed to get things going on their next drive, and it looked like they did thanks to a huge 3rd down conversion of yards to Jalen Richard down to the LA 25. They then got a defensive Pass Interference penalty in the end zone shortly on their next 3rd down play. Inexplicably they passed on 1st and goal from the one though and Carr threw it directly to the Chargers LB Melvin Ingram for a gut wrenching interception in the end zone. It was yet another bizarre, trying to do way too much interception from Derek Carr. The Chargers started at their own 3 after the interception but got out of the bad field position in just one play by going deep on 1st down for a 54 yard completion to Tyrell Williams. They then got another big completion a couple of plays later on a 2nd and 18 play to Mike Williams for 26 yards and a 12 yard completion to Keenan Allen on a 3rd and 11. Adding insult to injury, they got the touchdown on the next play to TE Virgil Green despite Arden Key playing the screen well and just missing tipping the ball away. Los Angeles missed the extra point though so the score was 26-3 after the TD pass.Oakland showed they weren’t giving up down 23 with just over 9 minutes left in the 4th by completing a 47 yard pass to Martavis Bryant and converting on a 4th and 4 with a pass to Seth Roberts. They then got their touchdown a few plays later on a one yard pass to Jordy Nelson, a play that never should have counted because about half of the Raiders team wasn’t set before the snap. No flag was thrown so the touchdown made the score 26-10, but the drive took 4:31 to score on because the Raiders showed absolutely no urgency on the drive despite having been down 3 scores.Los Angeles then recovered the onside kick attempt with 5:10 left in the 4th quarter. They converted a huge 3rd and 6 to keep the clock rolling with the 16 point lead. They then had another 3rd and 6 later in the drive and converted that one too. That one allowed the Chargers to kneel out the rest of the clock, Raiders lose 26-10. Mike Tomlin doesn't like talking about the way his players use social media. The Pittsburgh Steelers coach would prefer to stick to football.Antonio Brown Youth Rodney Hudson Jersey , however, isn't giving his boss much choice.Tomlin said he plans to speak to the All-Pro wide receiver "directly" after Brown caused a bit of a commotion — again — by taking to Twitter to vent after a former team employee suggested Brown's stardom is a result of playing with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.Brown responded by tweeting "trade me let's find out." When asked Tuesday if one of the NFL's most dynamic players has asked to be moved, Tomlin responded "no, no" and laughed.Still, Tomlin believes the seemingly incessant inquiries about Brown's online behavior is growing tiresome."It's important that we understand our position, the light that shines on us and the responsibility that comes with it," Tomlin said.Tomlin plans to provide Brown with a reminder on Wednesday when the team returns to practice. He wasn't able to on Monday because Brown did not show up for work.Tomlin declined to say whether Brown's absence was excused, though in the past Tomlin has typically offered an explanation when a player is out.Brown caught nine passes for 67 yards in a 42-37 loss to Kansas City on Sunday that dropped Pittsburgh to 0-1-1. He has 18 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown through two games, a pace that would easily have him top 100 receptions for a sixth straight season.Yet Brown has struggled at times to keep his emotions in check Youth Jared Cook Jersey , be it on social media or on the sideline. Cameras caught him venting in the second half against Kansas City, and when Roethlisberger dived into the end zone for a 3-yard score that drew the Steelers within five points on Sunday, Brown walked slowly off the field while his teammates celebrated.Tomlin downplayed Brown's sideline behavior, calling "negative exchanges" the byproduct of not playing well as a whole. The Steelers are off to their worst start since 2013, when they dropped their first four games and missed the playoffs.Brown's in-game behavior has long been a flashpoint. He famously punched a Gatorade bucket in Baltimore last September and more than once had semi-heated exchanges with former offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Roethlisberger isn't worried about Brown's outburst on Sunday ."I think it was just frustration," Roethlisberger said during his weekly appearance on 93.7 The Fan. "He's a competitor, and he wants to be the best in the world, and he probably is the best in the world. So he wants to make every play and catch every ball and every touchdown, which is what every player wants to do."Every player Womens P.J. falling agonizingly short against more talented teams. IU’s seemingly weekly flailing against ranked opponents has helped earn the team the internet nickname “CHAOS TEAM.”It’s been going for five years now http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-andy-levitre-jersey , and Indiana fans were writing about how sick they were of it three years ago. The trend began in 2014.The Hoosiers led No. 6 Ohio State by six until 17 minutes remained, then lost by 15,and led No. 8 Michigan State in the second quarter, then lost 56-17.And it really got rolling in 2015.They lost by a touchdown to No. 1 Ohio State, lost by eight to No. 10 Iowa, were within two of No. 7 Michigan State in the fourth quarter, before losing by 26,and led by a touchdown to No. 15 Michigan in double overtime Black Austin Hooper Jersey , just for good measure. Also in 2015, IU's first bowl game in a decade ended with a controversial missed field goal.2016 was ruthless, as anticipated. They lost by five to No. 10 Nebraska, led No. 12 Penn State 31-28 in the fourth quarter before losing by 14,and led No. 4 Michigan in the third quarter before losing. Also in 2016, Indiana's second bowl game in a decade-plus came down to a kick. Utah made it.2017 was brutal, as is standard. They led No. 2 Ohio State 21-20 in the third and lost by 28, took No. 17 Michigan to overtime but lost http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-mohamed-sanu-jersey , 27-20,and led No. 9 Wisconsin by 10 in the second before losing by 28.2018 has loosely held to the same script. They pulled to within 7 of No. 24 Michigan State in the fourth, then gave up a 75-yard run almost immediately and lost by 14,trailed No. 3 Ohio State by a TD at the half before losing by 23,recovered an onside kick with a chance to beat No. 18 Penn State, but came about 50 yards short, and led No. 4 Michigan at the half in Ann Arbor and was within a TD late, but lost by 11.We’re sorry Atlanta Falcons Womens T-Shirt , Indiana fans. This whole thing already seems impossible, and somehow, it keeps going. The Falcoholic Crossfire Podcast: 2018 Week 3 The inaugural episode of our new Crossfire podcast is here! on Cam Newton Damontae Kazee has been ejected from the Falcons’ Week 2 game against the Panthers after a helmet-to-helmet tackle on Cam Newton early in the second quarter. It’s a move that is difficult to defend in the moment and may result in the second year safety being suspended for at least one game http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/ryan-schraeder-jersey , though that’s off in the future a bit.If you didn’t see the play, here it is: I think Kazee simply built up a head of steam too late in this play, and when Cam Newton started to slide, he failed to adjust. Regardless of intent—and we’ll be debating that for a while—the result of the play was a helmet-to-helmet hit in a league where helmet-to-helmet hits are being penalized more than ever. It also put Cam Newton in the medical tent, however briefly, and led to the ejection. Just a catastrophically bad play from a player who was very much on the rise for this Atlanta defense, and a mistake the team’s going to pay for in the weeks to come. We’re glad to see Newton’s okay—even if he did lead a touchdown drive after this play—and we’ll hope that Kazee has both a good explanation and the luck to avoid a suspension after this one. Brian Kelly has always built his Notre Dame offenses on power running and play action. At previous stops like Cincinnati, Kelly’s offense was a spread attack like one you might find in today’s Big 12. But at Notre Dame, he adjusted his system to make use of his talent pool.In particular, Notre Dame has long loaded up with the kinds of offensive linemen schools like Cincinnati could only dream of recruiting: big, physical maulers who can smash an opposing team off the line of scrimmage. The Irish have become an NFL pipeline on the line, largely because they deploy that talent in the classic three-point stance (hand in the dirt), where linemen can drive at opponents and mash them: The 2018 line has managed to replace the legendary tandem of Mike McGlinchey and Quenton Nelson Womens Brian Poole Jersey , the left tackle and guard who went in the first round of the NFL Draft. Notre Dame’s blue-blood status and Midwestern location make it possible to keep rolling big linemen through every year and keep an edge in the trenches. While Kelly’s kept recruiting those linemen, he’s remained a spread coach at heart. After dallying with dual-threat QBs for years in option-oriented systems, he made a transition this season before the Irish had a chance to lose: he turned to three-star redshirt sophomore Ian Book. That decision’s been critical to the Irish getting themselves into great Playoff position. With Book, Notre Dame’s converted to a more balanced spread approach. Notre Dame had a good start, beating rival Michigan 24-17 behind some solid play from dual-threat QB Brandon Wimbush. But then the Irish posted 24-16 and 22-17 wins over the likes of Ball State and Vanderbilt, and that was it for Wimbush. Book followed that up by leading the Irish to six consecutive wins at 38.8 points per game. The difference is simple. The Irish traded an excellent runner in Wimbush — who also helped lead the Irish to a Week 11 win over Florida State, with Book expected to return from injury for Week 12 — for a serviceable option triggerman in Book, who has thrown for 8.9 yards per throw with 15 TDs and four picks as the operator of Kelly’s vertical spread passing schemes. While Notre Dame regularly uses good tight ends who can block like tackles or as H-backs,it’s hard for spread offenses to run reliably if the QB isn’t a threat to at least use some read schemes. On the TD play above, Notre Dame motions in TE Alize Mack to block down for its pulling offensive linemen on a sweep play. But it also leaves the backside DE unblocked for Book to punish with a keeper if he crashes to chase the run down from behind.Excluding sacks, Book’s ran for about 5 yards per carry and four touchdowns. The Irish call some direct-snap carries for him in short yardage, and they mix in typical read plays like the one that fooled Northwestern and sealed a win in Week 10: Behind that line, Book can hurt teams with his legs. But he’s also Notre Dame’s most proficient passer yet in the run/pass option game. That helps the RBs and involves Kelly’s perpetually loaded receiver group: This is a favorite play for run-centric spread teams today: the traditional weak iso run action Womens Grady Jarrett Jersey , with twin receivers holding the nickel (No. 25) with a bubble screen, and the solo-side receiver running a skinny post behind the safety, in case that safety gets nosy trying to top the run. It’s a downhill run play that draws in DBs with run-support responsibilities. When the QB is accurate to a big target on a cornerback, it’s trouble. In the traditional spread passing schemes that propelled Kelly to Notre Dame, Book is also a significant upgrade over most Kelly QBs.Here he is in one of the more essential roles in the Notre Dame offense, taking advantage of size and speed at WR on a vertical route combo up the seam:The Wildcats roll a weak-side safety over so they can play over the top of Notre Dame’s three receivers to the strong side. But after the safety picks up the first WR running a post pattern, the second (No. 87 Michael Young) has space to execute a double move to win inside of the strong safety. Book lands the ball perfectly for six. In the normal drop-back spread game, Book isn’t a world-beater, but he’s solid and can deliver accurate balls to big, imposing targets like the 6’4, 230-pound Miles Boykin:Notre Dame’s spacing and run-game talent give Book simple reads. The passing game then comes down to accuracy and execution, rather than high-level field generalship. On this play, like on many others Authentic Takkarist McKinley Jersey , he’s just reading a safety and throwing the flag route to Boykin as best he can to avoid the corner dropping back to contest the throw. Book’s talents have unleashed the full weight of the Irish offense. What Book is bringing to Notre Dame is conceptually similar to what Tua Tagovailoa is bringing to Alabama. With a versatile skill set that includes the ability to distribute the ball in spread-option schemes, RPOs, and play action, the defense gets into a bind. It has to either confuse Book about where the ball’s going or beat some talented player man-to-man. The confusion angle is difficult, because Notre Dame can always just use the read game to run the ball, and the receiving group means he’ll often have matchup advantages. When an offense has Notre Dame’s line and blocking tight ends, it’s hard for a defense to stop the run without pulling numbers from the secondary. And when that offense has powerful, skilled wideouts with size advantages, a defense runs out of options in a hurry. Book will get little draft buzz any time soon. But spread QBs of his ilk can be highly competent distributors, especially surrounded by NFL athleticism on a college field. This mix has left the Irish well positioned to have a special season.
in a Super Bowl by making it to the final eight Mohamed Sanu Jersey , and by nearly advancing to the NFC title game. This year, they likely won’t go to the playoffs at all. After winning three in a row to even their record at 4-4, the Falcons have lost three games in 11 days to fall to 4-7. They can’t win the NFC South, even if they run the table and the 10-1 Saints lose their last five games. The best hope for Atlanta to make it to the playoffs will entail winning five in a row and hoping for plenty of help. With Ravens, at Packers, Cardinals, at Panthers Authentic Ryan Schraeder Jersey , and at Buccaneers remaining on the docket, that will be a tall task. Assuming that the Falcons can’t win five in a row (and/or don’t get the help they’ll need to sneak in with nine wins), plenty of questions will be asked about the future of the franchise that will continue the streak of Super Bowl hosts not playing in the game.Coach Dan Quinn and G.M. Thomas Dimitroff have contracts that run through 2022. Although buyouts would be peanuts in comparison to the cost overruns at the team’s two-year-old stadium, not many owners pay highly-compensated employees to not work for four years. And so the question becomes whether offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian or defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel (or both) will take the fall.Sarkisian became an outside-the-box choice to replace Kyle Shanahan after Super Bowl LI, and persistent red-zone problems won’t work in Sark’s favor. And so the question becomes whether the Falcons can identify an offensive mastermind who will get the most out of quarterback Matt Ryan and receiver Julio Jones. As owner Arthur Blank ponders that possibility, the bigger question becomes whether to simply make that offensive mastermind the head coach, swapping out a defensive coach for an offensive coach in an age of high-powered offenses. Especially in light of the reality that any offensive mastermind who would fix the offense would then become a candidate to be whisked away by another team as its head coach Youth Austin Hooper Jersey , the same way Shanahan was. However it plays out, Blank has to be troubled by the regression, and like any astute businessperson he’ll be asking tough questions. Depending on the answers, hard decisions could be coming in Atlanta.Falcons add guard Zac Kerin after Andy Levitre goes on injured reserve The Falcons put Andy Levitre on injured reserve just a short time ago, and they have a corresponding roster move ready to go. Oddly enough, it’s Brandon Fusco’s former backup when both players were with the Vikings.Zac Kerin is a former undrafted free agent who spent three years with the Vikings before bouncing around to the Lions and Giants. He’s fairly mobile and has dabbled at center in the past, but he’s participated in just 16 NFL games since 2014 and is obviously no more than a deep reserve for this Falcons team. If Kerin sees the field http://www.falconsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-vic-beasley-jersey , something has gone very wrong, though I’m sure his mobility and Brandon Fusco’s familiarity with the player who replaced him twice in 2016 when he suffered injuries were a selling point for the Falcons. Wes Schweitzer is probably first in line to replace Levitre, with Ben Garland backing up every interior line spot if he’s healthy. It’s yet another blow to a Falcons team that can’t afford too many more.Warmly welcome Kerin, though.
with the trade rumors surrounding him prior to Tuesday’s deadline Youth Graham Glasgow Jersey , but even with that primer, the Detroit Lions’ decision to trade him came as a big surprise to the wide receiver. “I had read all the articles, I talked to my agent several times,” Tate said during his introductory press conference with the Eagles on Wednesday. “I think I found out before my agent did. It was a shock. It was kind of information overload, there was only two minutes of talking, but it kind of threw me off.”Tate admitted he thought about what it may be like to play for a different franchise, whether it be the Eagles or other rumored teams like the Patriots or Browns. But he never took those fantasies beyond a brief thought.“My brain didn’t wrap around it until it actually happened.” While Tate was shocked by the move, he remained incredibly classy toward the Detroit Lions. On the day of the trade, he offered this thoughtful response on social media. On Wednesday http://www.lionscheapstore.com/glover-quin-jersey-cheap , he made sure to kick off his press conference by expressing that same gratitude to the Lions.“I’d like to start off by showing a tremendous amount of gratitude and be thankful to the Detroit Lions for giving me the opportunity to spend the last four-and-a-half years in a great organization,” Tate said. “I’ll be forever grateful for the teammates, the coaches, the community and what they helped me achieve as a player, as a person, as a Christian.”Tate didn’t provide any insight as to why he was traded away from the Lions, other than saying, “It’s a business.” However, he was grateful that he received phone calls from various people inside the organization Cheap Jarrad Davis Jersey , including general manager Bob Quinn, team president Rod Wood, Matthew Stafford and some of the team physicians. You can watch Golden Tate’s entire Eagles introductory press conference here... if you can stomach it. The Lions are .500!!!! Everyone dance to some sort of Miami themed song!Who doesn’t love Pitbull, am I right? The Lions appear to be on track now. They’ve won three of their last four games and come out of Miami with their first road win of the year and a .500 record. That win also came over a team that beat the Lions’ division rival Chicago Bears last week. So this was a big win- even if it doesn’t totally feel like one. As always, I have thoughts on this game. These are those thoughts. The Kerryon Show I’m almost mad at Kerryon Johnson. Not because he ran for 158 yards on 19 carries, but because he took so long to get to the Lions. Why wasn’t this kid born five years earlier? Johnson continues to just go out there and be way better than any of us could have hoped for. If Johnson wasn’t in the Rookie Of The Year conversation before, he definitely is after Sunday. Runs like this make you wonder if Kerryon could someday be one of the very best in the NFL. The Lions have a legit run game nowKerryon wasn’t the only one that got down on the Dolphins on Sunday. LeGarrette Blount added 50 yards and a touchdown too. Even Matthew Stafford ran for nine yards. All told, the Lions ran for 248 yards on the ground. That’s a big deal. The Lions had not run for over 200 yards since Thanksgiving 2013. You can see what this run game is doing for this team. Matthew Stafford only threw the ball 22 times on Sunday because he didn’t really need to. Stafford also got sacked just one time too. A lot of this comes back to the Lions having an actual balanced offense. Speaking of Stafford Has this guy been money or what? Since that horrible week one game, Stafford has thrown 11 touchdowns and one interception. He’s completing 70.8 percent of his passes and has a passer rating of 115. On Sunday http://www.lionscheapstore.com/matt-prater-jersey-cheap , Stafford was accurate as all get out again. He completed 81.8 percent of his passes and threw for two touchdowns. If Stafford keeps playing this way and the Lions keep winning, it’s not crazy to put him in the dark-horse MVP discussion. Michael Roberts is the greatest tight end to ever play the gameWell not exactly, I suppose. However, Roberts did have himself a day in Miami on Sunday. He grabbed three receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns. He led the Lions in both receptions and receiving yards in this game. No, seriously. That’s not a joke. Stop laughing. This brings Michael Roberts’ career stat line to eight receptions for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Someone start bronzing that bust. The Lions got sacksThe division changed a lot on SundayNot so much for the Lions, though. They did move up from fourth place into third place. The team that really had a the most change is the team you hate the most: the Bears. They went from first place in the NFC North to dead last. Sadly this means the Packers move to first place despite losing to the Lions. If only the 49ers would have held on in Week 6. Next week is the big week though. The Lions have a tough one with the Seahawks coming to town. But it’s the rest of the division that has it worse. The Bears play a scrappy Jets team, the Packers play the undefeated Rams and the Vikings play the 4-1 Saints with their high powered offense. The division could be in for another big shift in week eight. What a season. What a division. What a feeling?
Packers on Sunday Cheap Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , it didn’t seem like there were going to be that many individual key plays that determined the outcome. A comfortable lead like that is usually just because of pure dominance on a play-to-play basis. But that wasn’t the case this week. The Packers managed a furious comeback and threatened to win the game at the end. Had it not been for these three key plays, they probably would’ve walked out of Ford Field with a win. Let’s break them down.Play No. 1 - Lions third-and-11 at own 45-yard lineWe’re going to work our way backwards through the game, starting with the game-clincher.I’ve already spoken about the importance of this play and offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter’s aggressive decision to pass instead of running the ball here. But let’s take a look at how Matthew Stafford found Golden Tate for the game-sealing first down.On the surface, the play simply looks like a pass-and-catch between Tate, who beat his man, and Stafford, who threw a perfect pass. But when I asked Tate about the play, he pointed out something I hadn’t even noticed. “Stafford found me, looked off the linebacker, I believe, and hit me in the window with a heater.” Indeed, Stafford did. Take a look: Here you can see it perfectly. Stafford squares his stance and shoulders angled toward the Packers sideline and keeps his eyes in that direction. It draws the linebacker that way, ever so slightly, opening up a clear window in the middle of the field. Here’s it in slow motion:“If I don’t catch that ball things could be a lot different,” Tate said on Monday. “They have way more time on the clock. You want to leave Aaron with about just one second with the ball, and even sometime that’s too much time, as he’s shown before.” But this wasn’t the lone occurrence of Matthew Stafford making a big play by drawing defenders away out of a zone. Back in the first half, Stafford did something remarkably similar to make sure the team put up six points, not three. And former Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky broke it down perfectly.Play No. 2: Third-and-goal from the Packers 8-yard lineIt’s hard to see from the broadcast angle, but the All-22 shows just how badly Ha Ha Clinton-Dix bites:Clinton-Dix was so far out of position http://www.lionscheapstore.com/sam-martin-jersey-cheap , he couldn’t have made that play even if he had dinosaur wings. This play was so crucial in the final outcome, because a 24-0 lead at halftime is so much more significant than a 20-0 lead. Detroit’s red zone offense was 4-for-4 on Sunday, and this being a third-down conversion as well just highlights how Stafford can rise to the occasion when the pressure is on.Play No. 3: Packers second-and-1 at own 35-yard lineThe only reason the Lions had the opportunity to go ahead 24-0 is because of a couple huge defensive plays. Down just 17-0, the Packers were preparing their lethal two-minute drive. In two plays and just 30 seconds, the Packers had already carved out 20 yards of the drive, and considering they were moving the ball efficiently all half, it seemed certain they’d get at least three points out of the drive. Da’Shawn Hand had other plans. There’s a lot to like about this play, but let’s start with Hand. At NOSE TACKLE (!!!), Hand beats a double team with relative easy (with help from the center abandoning his post), tracks down Aaron Rodgers, forces the fumble, then finds the ball for the recovery. It’s truly an overall fantastic play from the rookie. But he couldn’t have done it without help. Romeo Okwara deserves a ton of credit for not only beating his man to the outside, but holding the edge so that Rodgers has to step up in the pocket to try and escape, rather than sliding out past the edge. Devon Kennard does the same on the other edge, making Rodgers feel claustrophobic in the pocket. The Lions’ pass rush struggles regularly, but on this play they worked together perfectly.Oh, and I wouldn’t even consider this a coverage sack. Rodgers had checkdown options wide open, but he didn’t have the time to go through his progressions:Without even one of these plays, the Lions may be 1-4 right now, but thankfully they executed well in big moments. So don’t let anyone tell you that the Lions didn’t win this game Youth Graham Glasgow Jersey , and that the Packers simply lost it. Detroit did what they needed to. as they take on the Miami Dolphins coming off of their Week 6 bye. A team who’s season looked lost only a few weeks ago is right back in the NFC North race and has a chance to end the day tied for the division lead with a win today. On the other hand Womens Kenny Golladay Jersey , a loss today drops the Lions to 2-4. That’s a hard hole to climb out from, especially for a team who felt that they could do better than 9-7 coming into the season. Today will be a hot, humid Youth Matthew Stafford Jersey , day at Hard Rock Stadium. It still feels like it’s the middle of Summer in Miami as temperatures are reaching the triple digit mark for today’s contest. Miami’s fast, high flying, offense is always hard to keep up with and the scorching sun doesn’t make anything easier. The Dolphins will have to cope another week without their starting quarterback. Ryan Tannehill is set to miss another game with shoulder injury. Brock Osweiler took over starting duties last week and impressed in a victory over the Bears. Whether or not he can repeat that performance against the Lions today may decide this game. Will the Lions be able to beat the heat and leave Miami victorious or will they take another blow this early in the season?Watch with us and find out! Last week http://www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com/devon-kennard-jersey-authentic , the Detroit Lions pulled themselves out of the basement of the NFC North for the first time this year. Though they are still technically tied with the Chicago Bears for last place with a 3-3 record, tiebreakers would put them ahead if the season was over right now. In even better news, the Lions could make some headway this week to gain even further ground in the division. Here’s how the standings look after seven weeks:1. Vikings: 4-2-12. Packers: 3-2-1t-3. Lions: 3-3t-3. Bears: 3-3Now here’s the lineup for the NFC North in Week 8:Vikings: vs. Saints (5-1)Packers: at Rams (7-0)Bears: vs. Jets (3-4)The two teams above the Lions are facing teams that have lost a single game combined Youth LeGarrette Blount Jersey , while the Bears host a flailing Jets team. The Lions can finish anywhere between first and last place after this week. So today’s Question of the Day is:What place will the Lions be after Week 8?My answer: Second. As you’ve seen from my On Paper article, I think the Lions will defeat the Seahawks this week. That means they won’t finish below third. There’s a good chance both the Vikings and the Packers lose their games, which would mean Detroit jumps to first. However http://www.lionscheapstore.com/ricky-wagner-jersey-cheap , the NFL doesn’t always work out like it looks like it should. I don’t know which team it will be, but I think either the Packers or the Vikings pull off the upset this week and stay ahead of the Lions for another week—potentially setting up a huge game next week in Minnesota between the Lions and Vikings. For the first time this season www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com , the Cardinals philosophy of don’t let the offense screw it up, worked as the Cardinals won 28-18.The first offensive play of the game made you excited, but the rest of the game was just depressing offensively.Josh Rosen connected with Christian Kirk on a 75-yard touchdown pass to open up the game, and the Cardinals finished with only 223 yards of offense against a 49ers team that was 27th in points per game and 19th in yards per game. That doesn’t mean much against this Cardinals offense, who is unequivocally and undoubtedly the worst in the NFL at this juncture. The fast start on offense was matched by an equally impressive first half on defense, as the Cardinals would force two turnovers, one that setup the Cardinals second touchdown, a two-yard David Johnson run.It was the dreaded second half that hurt the Arizona Cardinals again on offense, as the team produced a measly 77 yards of offense. It caused the defense to play an ungodly amount in the second half Arizona Cardinals Womens T-Shirt , playing over 20 minutes of defense in the second half alone, as the offense had the ball for only seven minutes and 44 seconds. That’s what happens when your offense can’t stay on the field or sustain drives. However, it didn’t matter, because the Cardinals defense made play after play in this game. The Cardinals forced five turnovers, while Josh Rosen, who struggled today, managed to protect the ball and not turn it over, which allowed the defense to play from ahead and it helped.Tre Boston started the day with an interception, Chandler Jones had a sack Arizona Cardinals Hats , fumble recovery, Patrick Peterson recovered a fumble, returned it inside the five, Haason Reddick had a strip sack that Josh Bynes returned for a touchdown and Been Benwikere finished off the day with an interception with a long return that setup the Cardinals fourth and final touchdown if the day, a David Johnson eight-yard run.It was what Steve Wilks has been waiting for and what he needed, as the Cardinals are on the board in the win column. The offense still was not good, but it was good enough for this week.
It was about as ugly as a home opener for a new head coach could get. What in the world went wrong? A lot. Some of it was surprising...but http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-jamar-taylor-jersey , alas, some of it was not.Offense:Why was this offense the same vanilla offense we saw in pre-season?I predicted during the week in my “The Chase is On” article that there would be an unveiling of a creative game plan by Mike McCoy. I was convinced that McCoy had been keeping his cards close to the vest all pre-season. And yet, come game time—it was pre-season offense deja vu—-all over again. How much of this vanilla offense can be attributed to Sam Bradford? We don’t know what Mike McCoy was expecting with each play call. Perhaps there were more nuanced plans on each play call, but Sam Bradford just stated playing “hot potato” with the football and couldn’t stop. Bradford has said that he and McCoy settle on which plays they like and which ones they don’t. How can Bradford come from playing for one of the most innovative play callers in Pat Shurmur and not bring any of that innovation with him?I find this mind-boggling.How could Sam Bradford actually look like Drew Stanton throwing the ball?Particularly to his left—-Bradford sailed just about every pass and never made an adjustment. Was Bradford’s protection really all that bad?The irony was—-it was one of the better games in pass pro the offensive line has produced. Give Ray Brown a lot of credit for having his o-line ready to go. How can you have a talented young WR in Christian Kirk and only target him on 2 yard crossing routes? Especially on 3rd and 5?Trent Sherfield showed he could get open on corner routes—-where was he?Not only did the “run Johnson off-tackle, throw 2 second hot potatoes” offense allow the Redskins to load up the box—-why didn't the OC and the QB understand that they ere playing right into the Redskins’ hands, by making them work a mere 3 seconds a play?Even in the NBA they know that it makes it easy for the defense to try to score within a couple of seconds off of one pass. Are Bradford’s quick passes going to get Fitz and others injured? When the box is packed and the defenders are always inching up—-Bradford is leading his receivers into heavy traffic. Is it too soon to be calling for Josh Rosen? No. If Bradford plays like this—-it’s a waste of everyone’s time.Where is the element of surprise? In today’s NFL OCs need to give their offenses an advantage by running when the defense is thinking pass and passing when the defense is thinking run. Predictable play calling is the leading cause for “3 and outs.”Defense:How can any coach expect to effectively stop the run playing a base nickel defense? Wilks has his DEs crashing down and playing inside gaps (which, btw, is waste of Chandler Jones’ best talents)—-but then who has contain? There was no contain all day. You need physical CBs who force the run with speed and power—-but watch Patrick Peterson—-if he isn't allowing himself to be blocked alll the way to sidelines by even smaller WRs, he is double clutching at the RBs and whiffing—-same for Jamar Taylor who did come up and make one good 3rd down tackle on Chris Thompson, but other than that, was not doing his job.How can the perimeter defense be so awful?Same thing with regard to the CBs—-I mean—-Adrian Peterson goes for 70 yards on 2 swing passes? Are you serious? Chris Thompson goes for 128 yards in 11 touches (5 runs and 6 catches)? How can the tackling be so poor up the middle?DTs Corey Peters and Robert Nkemdiche combined for 8 tackles and 2 tackles for loss—-but Wilks’ defense is predicated on the ILBers “running down hill to the ball.” Wilks got that at times from Josh Bynes(11 tackles), but Deone Bucannon was slow and timid. Watch Bucannon on Peterson’s TD dive right up his hole. All Bucannon has to do is fill the hole—-and yet, he runs right into the pile in the middle, acting like he is fooled. How can you have Deone Bucannon matched up in pass coverage versus speedier receivers like Jamison Crowder and Chris Thompson?Haason Reddick has the speed to do it. But, Bucannon, like Jamar Taylor and Tre’ Boston yesterday, played lazy, slow reacting pass coverage and got toasted left and right. Why did Tre’ Boston quit on the TD pass to TE Jordan Reed? All he had to do is keep running and dive on him to down him before he could reach the ball over the goaline—-it would have saved the TD and run out the clock, as the Redskins were out of timeouts. That was a huge play in the game and instead Boston pulled up and watched it all happen.Where was Bene Benwikere is coverage? He’s one of the better slot cover guys—-not sure why he wasn’t used more.Who were the most physical players on defense yesterday?Antoine Bethea and Budda Baker—-combined for 21 tackles (17 of them solos). But Youth Chandler Jones Jersey , if your safeties are making most of your tackles, that doesn't not speak well of the front 7. This was the problem for much of the past two years as well. What should/could Wilks do this week?First of all, they should consider releasing Brandon Williams and bringing back CB Tim Scott who is not afraid to mix it up at RCB. Wilks needs a plan B for Bucannon, Boston and Taylor (if they play like this next week)—-as in Zeke Turner (who showed he can fill holes and run down hill to the ball), Rudy Ford (who has been playing with good speed and bang) and Bene Benwikere who could be a better fit at RCB than Taylor. Plus, Haason Reddick should be one of the nickel LBers—-his forte is in coverage. The other thing is—-Wilks has to find a way to flex Chandler Jones, so he’s not getting caught inside each play. Stringing out Todd Gurley and getting big pressure on Jared Goff is paramount this week. The Good News:Positive Signs: from RB David Johnson, RB Chase Edmonds, WR Larry Fitzgerald, PR Christian Kirk, Ts D.J. Humphries and Josh Wetzel, G Mike Iupati, C Mason Cole, DT Robert Nkemdiche, DT Corey Peters, DE Chandler Jones, DE Benson Mayowa, S Antoine Bethea, LB Josh Bynes (at times) Youth Chase Edmonds Jersey , S Budda Baker and P Andy Lee.Special Teams:Andy Lee was superb—-he punted 5 times for a 52.6 average, plus landed 3 punts inside the 20.Christian Kirk, after a tentative first punt return—-ripped off a 44 yarder.NFC West:The 49ers and Seahawks lost—-hoping the same tonight for the Rams. The Redskins:I was thinking before the game that the Redskins (as healthy as they are to start the season and with the addition of RB Adrian Peterson) might be in many ways one of the Cardinals’ toughest matchups. It didn't help that the Cardinals didn't face one starting QB in the pre-season. Alex Smith was crafty—-(man, they have to chance the intentional grounding rules—-everyone in the stadium knew Smith got away with two gifts)—-and LT Trent Williams is a stud. Their offensive line is dang good, let’s face it. Too bad the Cardinals’ offense was so vanilla, because they didn’t put enough pressure on the Redskins’ LBers and DBs—-that’s where they are vulnerable. Well, Von Miller was right. The good news for the Cardinals is they gave up only seven points in the final 14:40 of the first half. The bad news for the Cardinals is they gave up 28 points in the first 15:20 of the first half.Denver leads 35-3 at halftime. The Broncos have kicked the Cardinals’ rear ends just as Miller predicted earlier this week.Denver scored two defensive touchdowns and another came on a trick play, giving the Broncos a 21-3 lead. Todd Davis and Chris Harris Jr. had the pick-sixes of Josh Rosen, and receiver Emmanuel Sanders threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton.Sanders caught a 64-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum, and, for good measure, Royce Freeman had a 1-yard touchdown run with 21 seconds left in the half.Keenum is 11-of-17 for 140 yards and a touchdown, while Sanders has three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.Rosen has completed only 8 of 17 passes for 60 yards with the two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns. He needs only one more pick-six to tie the NFL record for the most in a single game.Miller, who has only two tackles, said Tuesday, 鈥淚 wouldn鈥檛 say it鈥檚 a 鈥榤ust鈥?win, but we鈥檙e going to kick their ass, though. Make sure you put that up there. We鈥檙e going to kick their ass.鈥
for the Arizona Cardinals Black Benson Mayowa Jersey , but you never know. The thing that has become obvious is that teams are interested and through the grapevines of the NFL, teams have known that Peterson is interested in leaving. And by interested meaning he wants out now.The three teams that have allegedly been trying to pry Peterson away are of course good teams who will not be picking early in the draft. So, Peterson has to understand that his request may not be one that is filled in 2018.However, if a team is willing to deal, maybe the Arizona Cardinals can make a deal. Here are three scenarios that could work for the Arizona Cardinals, but would be less likely to fly on the other side.Patrick Peterson and a 2019 3rd round pickRyan Ramczyk and a 2020 1st round pickIf the Cardinals are going to listen to offers, they have to make it know if front, they want a young corner or young offensive linemen while also getting a pick in return.Giving up a third may seem difficult for the Cardinals, but Ramczyk is a player that is one of the best right tackles in the NFL Youth Mason Cole Jersey , one of the Cardinals weakest positions. This gives the Cardinals an immediate, young, cost controlled upgrade and a 2020 round one pick that pays for Peterson. The third the Cardinals kick in is the boost to make sure you are getting a big return and Ramczyk would ease the pain of losing a Hall of Fame cornerback.Patrick PetersonHalapoulivaati Vaitai, 2019 1st round pick and 2020 3rd round pickLess return, Vaitai is good but he’s not Ramczyk good, means giving up less and getting back an extra pick. You still get a likely upgrade at right tackle, and to be frank maybe even left tackle, and now you have two picks as well.Patrick PetersonDon’t trade with the New England Patriots againNo, seriously Youth Larry Fitzgerald Jersey , don’t do it. You won the first trade, don’t go back to the well unless you are getting a first and Ja’Whaun Bentley, who is a stud linebacker and could make up for some issues the Cardinals have at the position. That’s unlikely to happen, so avoid Bill Belichick’s calls.Deone Bucannon needs a new place to call home, but should remain in Cardinals Red Arizona Cardinals fans are abuzz with news that Josh Rosen has been named the starting quarterback (officially) after a week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears. It was bound to happen at some point this season and with the team off to an 0-3 start and veteran Sam Bradford not showing much promise, now was as good of a time as any. But the problems don’t figure to be automatically corrected with Rosen now in the starting lineup. Changes on both sides of the ball could still be made to help improve this team. For example, this past Sunday, Deone Bucannon and Haason Reddick — both former first round picks of the Cardinals — saw very little action with defensive snaps. Reddick had a mere 4 snaps, while Bucannon saw a whole one snap on defense. Honestly http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-phil-dawson-jersey , it isn’t that surprising. We all saw the liability Bucannon was as a linebacker in this team’s new defense under Steve Wilks in week one against the Washington Redskins. But I don’t want to count Bucannon as a lost cause just yet. He is a talented and athletic player that has shown he belongs on an NFL field in the past. He’s a sure tackler that can make plays in space or in the hole. So, since we are trying new things and making adjustments to try and win ball games, why not try this crazy idea: put Bucannon back where he belongs — as a safety. Buc was always a misfit as a linebacker. The guy practically invented a whole new position as a “$ backer” when a rash of injuries necessitated his playing in the box full time. Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles were successful in masking his lack of size and strength and making him into a linebacker that was as quick as any out there going from sideline to sideline. He was a tackling machine, so to speak. But after some injuries and Bucannon almost being forced to put on more weight, he just doesn’t look like the same player anymore. Who knows the real reason we have seen this decline from him, but when you go from a starter playing essentially every snap to being one snap shy of a DNP on defense, it goes beyond just the defensive scheme. Shedding some of the unnecessary muscle and weight that Bucannon has put on the past couple of years would be a great start. Let him lean out again, allowing him to move faster and play laterally like he once did. He may get eaten alive by an offensive lineman from time to time, but it’s not like all the weight he has added has really changed that. The next move I would make would be to change him back to his original position. I was never a fan of making him a linebacker full time to begin with. Tre Boston http://www.authenticsarizonacardinals.com/cheap-jamar-taylor-jersey , after being hailed as a steal when the Cardinals signed him this off-season, hasn’t done much to impress me outside of a diving interception against the Bears. Bucannon may present an immediate upgrade over Boston and form a dangerous safety trio between him, Antoine Bethea and rising star Budda Baker. With a thinner frame and less time around the line of scrimmage, I truly believe we could see a revitalized Bucannon. And at this point, what do you really have to lose? This is a rebuilding season for the whole team as it is and if it doesn’t work out, he is a free agent at the end of the year and you let him walk. What do you think, fans? There has to be a way to salvage what was once a highly productive first round pick, right?
Just one week in and the Raiders defensive line is hurting. Defensive tackles Justin Ellis and PJ Hall both got banged up in the opener which has prompted the Raiders to bring in veteran defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins to shore up the position. In his Wednesday press conference Jon Gruden said there was a “distinct possibility” the team adds a defensive tackle to the mix Authentic Kelechi Osemele Jersey , perhaps even more than one. When asked about Johnathan Hankins in particular, he got a sly smile on his face and all but confirmed the 6-3, 320-pounder was joining the team. Then upon entering the locker room, the evidence presented itself.Hankins is a 26-year-old former 2nd round pick. Greetings Oakland Raiders Hoodie , Raider Nation! Week 6 of the NFL season is upon us, and we open with your NFC East Game of the Week as the Eagles and Giants face off tonight from New Jersey, where neither team is actually from. Both of these teams have had disappointing campaigns so far with the Eagles at 2-3 and the Giants at 1-4. The NFC East is up for grabs, not because it’s highly competitive, but because all the teams are awful. The Indigenous Persons, who were just walloped by the Saints on Monday Cheap Customized Oakland Raiders Jerseys , might be the best of the bunch.Carson Wentz’ return has bolstered the Eagles, but they have problems on both sides of the ball keeping them from being the solid and explosive team they were last year when they won the Super Bowl. The Giants are just a problem all around, and Saquon Barkley’s individual brilliance is their lone bright spot.Tonight’s game can be seen at 5:20 PM Pacific on FOX and the NFL Network. Enjoy the game!
A week after a 45 point explosion and first win of the season Youth Kelechi Osemele Jersey , the Raiders had their worst performance of the year in a 26-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders didn’t need to worry about blowing a lead in this one because at no point did they have the lead. The offensive line, in particular struggled badly.Without Donald Penn and Kelechi Osemele active for the game, Jon Feliciano and rookie third round pick Brandon Parker got the start. With the loss the Raiders fall to 1-4.Let’s take a look at the Raider week five report card.Aerial Attack: CAll things considered, two rookie tackles and a back up guard starting on the offensive line, on paper the numbers look ok.Carr finished the day 24-33, with 268 yards and one touchdown.Major points were taken off for a back breaking interception late in the third quarter. On the Chargers one yard line, Jon Gruden called a play action fake to Marshawn Lynch.Carr’s primary option was not open, Carr trying to make something out of nothing tried to make a play and the ball ended up in the hands of Melvin Ingram. After the game Jon Gruden defended his play call. “We haven’t thrown the ball in a goal to go situation all year. It’s first and goal Womens Johnny Townsend Jersey , the decision there is to throw it and if it’s not open you throw it away.”Derek Carr has a history of at times trying to do too much, this season has been no different.“I think he just presses in some moments, he knows we have to do a lot with the ball when we have it and I think that’s what happened today,” said Gruden.Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson combined for five catches for 53 yards. Ground Game: FThe running game was a non factor today. The blame can be shared between the offensive line being ineffective and game flow.Marshawn Lynch was only given nine opportunities to carry the ball.As a team the Raiders carried the ball 13 times for 44 yards.Offensive Line: DStarting two rookies at tackle and a back up at guard were taking into consideration when evaluating their performance.Even with the inexperience along the line today the performance was not good.Carr was sacked three times, all three were given up by Kolton Miller. Also keep in mind, Joey Bosa did not play.In addition to poor run blocking, allowing pressures, the offensive line also committed several pre snap penalties which turned manageable third down situations into third and longs. Defensive Line: B+The boxscore numbers might not be indicative of the defensive lines production but this was one of their better performances overall.Bruce Irvin picked up his third sack of the season.Rookies Maurice Hurst Youth Rodney Hudson Jersey , PJ Hall, and Arden Key all had an impact on the game.PJ Hall had a tackle for loss as well as a deflected pass and Hurst had another pass deflected.Arden Key is continuing to improve as a pass rusher, it’s only a matter of time before he begins to rack up some sacks. The Raiders defense held the Chargers to 79 yards rushing on 31 carries for a 2.5 yards per carry.Linebackers: CTahir Whitehead led the defense in tackles with nine but it was the tackle he did not make that had the biggest impact on the game.Austin Ekeler took a screen pass 40 yards for a touchdown, Whitehead whiffed badly on the play which allowed Ekeler to take it to the house.Big plays have plagued the Raiders all year long.Secondary: D-Phillip Rivers had his way with the Raiders secondary, completing 81 percent (22 of 27) of his passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns.Going into the game the Raiders defense ranked seventh in explosive pass plays allowed. An explosive play is defined as any pass play that is completed for 20 yards or more.Today the Chargers completed passes of 26, 34, 44, and 48.Early in the game the secondary made some plays to get off the field on third down but in the second half that was not the case.Special Teams: BUnlike last week the special teams were a non factor in the game.Dwayne Harris returned two kickoffs for 44 yards.Matt McCrane was made one of two field goal attempts. His miss was a long 57 yard attempt 11 seconds before the half.Overall Grade: DRaiders week 5 Ballers & Busters vs Chargers This was a must-win type of game Youth Jared Cook Jersey , which is a bad sign for this team being that we’re so early in the season. A worse sign was how they responded to the situation they were in — with their worst performance of the season by far. They were held scoreless in the first quarter, adding a field goal early in the second quarter. That score was the only one they would have that mattered. By the half they were down 17-3 and by the end of the third quarter, the game was essentially in the bag for the Chargers.BallersDaryl Worley, Erik HarrisEven Worley had a couple miscues, but overall he had more positive plays. He didn’t get the start, but when he entered the game in place of Gareon Conley for the second drive, he made an impact. Just after the Chargers crossed midfield, they were in third and ten and attempted a screen pass into the left flat. Worley dipped and drove through his blocker to make the tackle in the backfield for a loss to force a Chargers punt.Early in the second quarter Womens P.J. Hall Jersey , after the Raiders tied it up at 3-3, he held the edge on a sweep to turn the runner back inside where he was stacked up for a loss of four. Two plays later, in third and 5, Harris made the tackle on Antonio Gates and Worley came up to help stop him short of the sticks for another punt. The following drive Harris made a tackle for loss on a run out wide to set up a three-and-out. The drive after that began with Worley getting into the backfield to slow up the Melvin Gordon to allow for him to be tackled for no gain. A few plays later, the Chargers would score on a dump pass to Austin Ekeler he took for a 44-yard touchdown. Can’t win ‘em all.Up 17-3 in the third, the Chargers got the ball at midfield and quickly drove down field. An offsides by PJ Hall took them from third and nine to third and four and Worley made the stop on the catch short of the sticks to force them to settle for a 30-yard field goal.Worley only real mistake was giving up a 12-yard catch on third and 11 to allow the Chargers to drive for their final touchdown of the game. But by then they were already up 20-3 and would probably added at least a field goal anyway.Honorable MentionGabe Jackson — There wasn’t much doing in the run game, but Jackson had a few gap opening blocking and kept his man out of the backfield.Continue to the Busters
new rules governing the use of the helmet dropped in the last two weeks of the preseason after the NFL clarified that inadvertent contact should not result in a flag. That trend continued in Thursday night’s opener. Officials were not at all shy about calling penalties as there were 26 accepted penalties and two calls that offset Black Austin Hooper Jersey , but none of them were for a player lowering his helmet to initiate contact. It’s one game and the 15 to come on Sunday and Monday might bring a different result, but the change made in August may have alleviated some of the concern about how much the game would change because of the rule change. While the new helmet rule did not come up, a new part of the roughing the passer rule did get called. Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was flagged for landing his body weight on Nick Foles after Foles delivered a pass in the first half. What We Learned: Falcons vs. Eagles Game one is in the books for the Atlanta Falcons. With the advantage of a few days to clear our heads, here is what was learned from their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Once again, incredibly close. As was the game played in January with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-mohamed-sanu-jersey , it came down to the very last play. As was the result in that same game, it relied on a pass attempt from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones with a win waiting in the balance. This ending was by just six points. Fingers were instantly pointed at the offensive coordinator, the $100 million dollar quarterback, missed turnover opportunities, lack of run game Atlanta Falcons Womens T-Shirt , the offensive line, the beer vendor, the weather, breakfast that the Falcons had earlier that morning, basically everything. I’m not here to place blame. It’s obvious that task has already been accomplished. I will say this however. The Falcons can play with any team in the league. That is quite obvious with the last two match-ups against the Eagles coming down to the very last drive. A play or two here and there and the Eagles would be staring at a two-game losing streak to the Falcons. I’m pretty sure of that. Sure Atlanta Falcons Hats , it’s easy to look at Ryan’s performance and come away discouraging. We’ve seen Ryan play significantly better. He’s only one full season removed from winning Most Valuable Player. Sure, we easily could point out that the Falcons defense were gassed late in the game and was seeing important players exit the game with various injuries. We could also pinpoint Steve Sarkisian’s play calling difficulties, and yes there were several. For a coordinator that showed plenty of struggles last season, it was crystal clear that he still has room for improvement. For Falcons fans, that room for improvement is wished to be narrowed sooner rather than later. Bill Streicher-USA TODAY SportsBattling the Eagles in Philadelphia will never be easy. The team takes after the scrappiness that is embedded in the city itself. This year’s edition of Eagles is arguably the league’s best. So while the Falcons took a few punches to the chin Atlanta Falcons Womens Hoodie , they delivered a few as well and had the defending Super Bowl champions off their A-game for four quarters. So what was learned? That the Falcons have plenty of offensive firepower and can attack at any moment. It’s really more about getting on the same sheet of music with Sarkisian. What was also learned is that the Falcons defense is blossoming. Gradually, the youth and talent on the defense is turning the unit into a very solid one at that. What was mainly learned on top of all that was that the Falcons are possibly holding themselves back. On both sides of the ball. That is somewhat a reflection to head coach Dan Quinn and his preparedness. Realizing their potential and acting upon it may make the difference between just being a ‘good’ team and being a possible Super Bowl winner.
Bryce Harper in free agency http://www.falconsfootballauthentics.com/matt-ryan-jersey-authentic , as everyone should be he’s a star and only 26 years old, but only a few who have a legitimate shot at getting him to sign. Harper’s agent Scott Boras says their camp will be listening to every offer no matter the team, but we all know there are favorites. On Thursday, Harper’s name and number appeared alongside the White Sox logo on the screens at the United Center — home of the Chicago Bulls, owned by Jerry Reinsdorf who also owns the White Sox. The original picture has since been deleted but some Twitter users nabbed it, and it kicked off intense speculation that Harper would be signing on the South Side this winter. That speculation was further fueled when people noticed Sox pitcher Michael Kopech’s recent Instagram post about what the number “34” means to him. That’s Harper’s number. A sign that Harper is definitely going to be in a White Sox uniform next year? Probably not. It’s still far too early for Harper to have made his final decision, as if he and Boras are smart they’ll wait until the Winter Meetings at the beginning of December to be able to easily negotiate details — and possible make a final choice — in person with front office decision makers. Ranking the 50 best MLB free agents for the 2018-2019 offseasonThe Yankees are pretending they won’t make big free agency moves and it’s hilarious3 possible motivations behind the Nationals’ 10-year Youth De'Vondre Campbell Jersey , $300 million offer to Bryce HarperYes, bad teams should sign Bryce Harper and Manny MachadoBut what these two pictures probably do mean is that he’s meeting with the White Sox in person now and they put together quite the pitch for him. Whether that involves him going to the United Center himself to see his name in lights (since being outside at Guaranteed Rate Field would be kind of cold right now) or the team is simply putting together a hype video to send him in the hopes that it will sell him on Chicago’s American League team, they’re making a move.If they’re putting a pitch together, that means they probably asked Kopech if he would hypothetically give up his number (Kopech is under team control through 2025) so that if Harper asks, they could give him an answer about the number’s availability right away. None of this means anything for sure, and if a deal was close we would know. But the White Sox aren’t slacking off here, so other teams should probably step up their sales pitches while they still can. Carmelo Anthony is parting ways with the Houston Rockets just 13 games into his tenure with the franchise Youth Alex Mack Jersey , of which he played 10, the team announced on Wednesday. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This makes consecutive failed fits in two playoff organizations for the struggling former All-Star, and what’s next for him is wildly unclear.“After much internal discussion, the Rockets will be parting ways with Carmelo Anthony and we are working toward a resolution,” Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said in a statement. “Carmelo had a tremendous approach during his time with the Rockets and accepted every role head coach Mike D’Antoni gave him. The fit we envisioned when Carmelo chose to sign with the Rockets has not materialized, therefore we thought it was best to move on as any other outcome would have been unfair to him.”Anthony signed with the Rockets for the veteran’s minimum this summer after he was traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder and subsequently waived by the Atlanta Hawks. He immediately accepted a bench role in Houston, but the team’s come out of the gates playing poorly on both sides of the ball poorly with a 5-7 record. Part of the solution Womens Ricardo Allen Jersey , in the Rockets’ eyes, is to get rid of him. That’s where we’re at with Carmelo Anthony. There was some dispute over whether Anthony was really gone from Houston on Sunday night prior to the Rockets’ win over the Pacers. The New York Times’ Marc Stein originally reported that Melo had been told “his brief time in Houston would be ending soon,” but the team, and more directly general manager Daryl Morey denied it. Morey addressed the media and said he expected Anthony back in the rotation upon his return from an illness that kept him out of the team’s game against Indiana. That, of course, never happened.(It should also be noted that Houston looked as good as last season in the 12-point win without him, draining 20-of-46 threes.)Why are the Rockets waiving Anthony? For the obvious reason that he is no longer a good NBA player. Anthony’s had a lauded career as one of the league’s best scorers Youth Deion Jones Jersey , but there’s little trace of that form of himself left. He’s scoring a career-worst 13.4 points per game at his lowest per 100 possession rate. That means his scoring rate isn’t the lowest it’s ever been merely because he’s playing the fewest minutes of his career, he’s shooting poorly, too. He’s firing at just 40.5 percent from the field(on pace for the second-worst of his career) and a brutal 32.8 percent from 3-point range. And his defense ... is just as bad as always.Simply put, modern basketball hasn’t allowed Melo to age gracefully. What’s Anthony going to do next? That’s a tough question. After two stints in OKC and Houston gone horribly wrong, he’s going to struggle to find another interested party.Anthony might need to sit on the sidelines for a few months before someone can convince themselves he’s worth another try.And he might need to consider the idea that nobody will reach that point again.
