Now that college football’s regular season is over https://www.thepackersfanshop.com , the NFL is able to play a few games on Saturdays. as a foursome of AFC teams are in action today.Only one appears headed for the playoffs, as the Houston Texans appear to be in solid command of the AFC South. They are traveling to the East Coast this week, however, taking on the 4-9 Jets in the Meadowlands in today’s early game. Then in the evening we have the Browns and Broncos, two teams sitting below .500. The Browns still have something to play for Green Bay Packers Customized Jerseys , however; because of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ recent collapses, there is still a pathway for Cleveland to win the division by winning out and finishing 8-7-1. The Browns have not beaten Denver in any of their past 11 tries, but perhaps there’s something different about this team now that Hue Jackson is gone.Tune in throughout the afternoon and evening and join us in the comments as we follow along with today’s games.Houston Texans vs. New York Jets4:30 PM Eastern TimeMetLife StadiumEast Rutherford, NJNFL NetworkCommentators: Curt Menefee, Nate Burleson, Steve Mariucci Green Bay Packers T-Shirts , Melissa StarkCleveland Browns at Denver Broncos6:20 PM Mountain Time (8:20 PM ET)Broncos Stadium at Mile HighDenver, CONFL NetworkCommentators: Mike Tirico, Kurt Warner, Peter Schrager This week’s FanPulse surveys at Acme Packing Company and SB Nation show some trends that should come as little surprise to anyone who has followed the Green Bay Packers this year. The Packers beat the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field on Sunday, winning 34-20 in a game that wasn’t nearly that close. That contest was the team’s first since firing head coach Mike McCarthy and installing Joe Philbin as the interim head coach. That move was the single biggest catalyst for long-term optimism all season, according to our FanPulse confidence index; the win over Atlanta https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/hats , however, saw the numbers increase only modestly.Whereas last week saw a 23 percent bump in respondents who said they were confident in the direction of the Packers as a whole — increasing from 17 percent to 40 percent after the firing — this week’s increase is much more modest. It’s just a five percent bump this week, as the number now sits at 45% overall. Here’s the graph of the results throughout the season:Meanwhile, the Packers were an option in a question that went out to readers of all of SB Nation’s NFL blogs this week, who were asked which team is the most disappointing franchise in the league this season. While Green Bay did get about a quarter of the votes, they still lagged well behind the leader: the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags got a whopping 49% of the vote to the Packers’ 24% Green Bay Packers Hoodie , likely driven in large part by the fact that Jacksonville made it to the AFC Championship Game a year ago. The Packers missed the playoffs in 2017, thanks in large part to Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone sidelining him for more than half of the season.Still, it would be understandable for Packers fans to vote for their own team here this year. This was still a team that entered the 2018 season with optimism, based at least in part around a new general manager and defensive coordinator. To scuffle to a 5-7-1 record at this point in the year absolutely should be considered a major disappointment. Here are the full numbers from SB Nation’s surveys:

Arizona Cardinals this year In a short series examining the NFC West “rivals Authentic John Johnson Jersey ,” I have already covered the San Francisco 49ers. Today: the Arizona Cardinals. Oh, and before your eyes glaze over, we play these jerks in Week 2. There’s been some recent eye rolling from NFL fans when the Arizona Cardinals are mentioned as upstart disrupters in the NFC West. They’re brittle, unproven, and probably need a year or two to establish their identity. But then again, in the NFL, nobody knows anything until they play the games. The Cardinals are fine even if/when QB Sam Bradford’s knee explodes.I genuinely root for QB Sam Bradford; I want the guy to play a full season just because I know he works hard and his talent is so great that he deserves the chance to compete. The Cardinals are a nice fit for Bradford Authentic Cooper Kupp Jersey , as he has a legit star WR to throw to in Larry Fitzgerald, and two young speedsters in WR Chad Williams and WR Christian Kirk. Drafted in the second round, Christian Kirk has a chance to be a pain in the ass for the Los Angeles Rams’ secondary. The Cardinals also have an explosive left tackle in D.J. Humphries; he’s super athletic when he’s not hurt -- which is kind of the motto with this team. Speaking of getting hurt, Bradford will have some help with his running game with the return of RB David Johnson, who was fantastic before a season-ending injury last season. And if you’ve watched your fair share of UCLA games the past couple of years, you know that once he’s given the opportunity, QB Josh Rosen will be up to the task. I believe that Rosen’s biggest challenge will be staying healthy Authentic Rob Havenstein Jersey , but if he can accomplish that, he can throw like a guy who has been in the league for 15 years. Rosen is also a guy that can step in even if Sam Bradford goes down in the first quarter of Week 1. With Steve Wilks as their new head coach, the defense will improveBrought over from the Carolina Panthers, the ex-defensive coordinator comes with a new 4-3 defensive scheme. Wilks is a strong leader that will bring some much needed youth and inspiration to the culture. Bruce Arians kind of looks like the type of person who’d steal people’s lunches out of the community refrigerator while Wilks seems like a coach that has the locker room in the palm of his hand — not great news for opposing teams. The Cardinals defense is going to be betterLast year, the Cardinals defense was pretty lopsided — guys like CB Patrick Peterson were lining up alongside the part-time line cook at the local Cracker Barrel. They’ve plugged in CB Jamar Taylor, which is alright. I really like second year safety Budda Baker, who could end up playing a lot better this season. The Arizona Cardinals should probably be encased in bubble-wrap until the season begins because these dudes have proven themselves to be injury-prone. However Womens Robert Woods Jersey , they could have also endured some bad luck that is now done with and LA Rams’ fans shouldn’t view this NFC West team as two easy wins this season. With one of the best running backs in the league and potential future star in Josh Rosen, the Cards may not be a favorite to win the division, but they’re still ready to cause some havoc. y the decision of the Miami Dolphins to release him in October.Phillips took to instagram after his release saying he was “free at last www.billsfootballauthentics.com , free at last” to be jettisoned from Miami. He continued on to say he wished nothing bad toward his former teammates, but “I couldn’t be happier to be out of there.”Phillips is looking to channel those feelings into Sunday’s meeting between the Bills and Dolphins in Miami.“Most people that leave Miami, that’s really when their career gets started,” Phillips said, via Steven Wine of the Associated Press. “Things have definitely turned around since I’ve been here. Fans love me. My teammates love me.”Phillips didn’t specify the exact targets of his frustration toward the Dolphins. However, he vowed to make any points he had to make in the game on Sunday.“Whoever has something coming to them is going to get it on Sunday,” he said.Phillips was a second round pick of the Dolphins in 2015. He has appeared in seven games for Buffalo after being claimed off waivers, recording 11 tackles with two passes defended. ORCHARD PARK Buffalo Bills T-Shirt , N.Y. (AP) — While leading the Buffalo Bills to a second straight win, it sounds as if rookie quarterback Josh Allen might have made a positive impression on one of his harshest critics. After he was reminded this week of how Jacksonville cornerback Jalen Ramsey once referred to him as "trash," Allen was making his way off the field following a 24-21 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday when he was tapped him on the back. Allen turned to see Ramsey with his hand outstretched."He just shook my hand and said, ‘Good job,'" Allen said. "He's an ultimate competitor just like myself, and maybe it's a respect thing. I'm not really sure," he added. "But I appreciate that, and it takes a big man to do that."Showing few signs of the sprained right elbow that sidelined him the past five weeks Buffalo Bills Hats , Allen completed a 75-yard touchdown pass to Robert Foster. Then the 22-year-old Allen punctuated his return by posing in the end zone with his biceps flexed after breaking two tackles and scoring the go-ahead touchdown on a 14-yard run at the start of the fourth quarter."I love the fire. He personifies Buffalo, right? He's a hard worker, blue-collar kid, and loves to compete," coach Sean McDermott said. "He's still so young, so again, let's manage expectations. It was a good start for him."Ramsey credited Allen for leading the Bills to the victory, but didn't exactly take back the comments he made about the quarterback in a story published in GQ magazine in August."It doesn't matter what I said. I'm sure that's really what he was thinking Buffalo Bills Womens Hoodie ," Ramsey said. "You can have opinions, but it's about what you go out there and do. And what he did was go out there for his team and get a win."Allen was far from perfect while exhibiting some of the inconsistency he showed while going 2-3 before he got hurt in a 20-13 loss at Houston on Oct. 14. He finished 8 of 19 for 160 yards, and his touchdown to Foster was the longest completion by a Bills quarterback since Week 2 of the 2016 season.Allen also had a team-leading 99 yards rushing to set a franchise record for quarterbacks. The Bills finished with 327 yards of offense for their second-best total this season and their top total with Allen at quarterback. He also didn't turn the ball over, after throwing five interceptions and losing a fumble in his previous six appearances. It was the type of development McDermott wanted to see from Allen. He started the rookie ahead of journeyman Matt Barkley, who led Buffalo to a 41-10 win over the New York Jets before the Bills' bye week. The Bills invested plenty into Allen by trading up five spots to select him seventh overall — the highest position in the draft order Buffalo has ever chosen a quarterback."It was a good start for him," McDermott added. "That's a heck of a defense out there."Allen set up Buffalo's first touchdown drive — a 6-yard run by Isaiah McKenzie — with a 32-yard pass to Kelvin Benjamin, who was being covered by Ramsey. The Bills then scored on their next possession on Allen's pass to Foster. Standing in the pocket, with pass-rushers Yannick Ngakoue and Dawuane Smoot closing in on him Womens Customized Buffalo Bills Jerseys , Allen found Foster wide open up the right sideline.Allen didn't get to see the completion because he was hit just as he released the pass."Whether I'm standing up or laying down on the ground, a touchdown is a touchdown and that feeling won't change," he said. "It was awesome."Bills safety Jordan Poyer was impressed by what he saw from Allen."Jalen can say whatever he wants to say about Josh, but Josh came in there and handled that defense today," Poyer said.Allen played down any hint of bitterness he might hold against Ramsey."There was a lot of trash-talking before and after, but ultimately my job is to go out there and help this team win football games," he said.

rumors As the Buffalo Bills (2-3) prepare for Sunday’s important AFC clash with the Houston Texans (2-3) Youth Corey Bojorquez Jersey , there has been rampant speculation that Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy could be on the move. During a press conference Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott addressed the media about rumors that McCoy, Buffalo’s best offensive playmaker, has drawn interest other teams around the league. One of those speculated to be interested in McCoy’s services is the the Philadelphia Eagles, who lost Jay Ajayi for the season to a torn ACL in Sunday’s 23-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Before taking any questions, McDermott opened his press conference by addressing the McCoy trade rumors head-on, calling McCoy “a valuable member of our football team.” “LeSean is one of our better players. I thought he had a good game the other day. Really, we’re just looking forward to playing the Houston Texans,” McDermott said of rumors swirling around the trade of McCoy. “We get calls all the time, incoming calls happen all the time. Brandon [Beane] and I talk a lot, and I won’t go into any more detail than that.”After a slow start to the season (he also missed the win over the Minnesota Vikings with a rib injury) Womens Tre'Davious White Jersey , McCoy carried a season-high 24 times for 85 yards in Sunday’s 13-12 win over the Tennessee Titans at New Era Field. That matched his rushing production through his first three games of the season. In four games, McCoy has rushed 45 times for 170 yards, to go with 10 catches for 64 yards. He has not scored a touchdown in 2018. With the Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions, in a position to trade for a running back with Ajayi’s season-ending injury, it makes sense for the Eagles to kick the tires on a trade for McCoy, who spent the first six seasons excelling in Philadelphia. Has McCoy heard the trade rumors or given any consideration to changing teams? “I heard about [the trade rumors]. I kind of just stay focused on the job, the task at hand. I’ll let that stuff work itself out. We’ll see what happens,” McCoy told the media. ”No, I just stay focused (on the task at hand),” McCoy continued. “I don’t pay attention to it too much Womens Josh Allen Jersey , trade stuff and everything else. I should never have gotten traded (from Philadelphia) anyway, I was killing stuff, you know? I never really pay too much attention to it. This week, we’ve got the Texans; I’ll worry about that. They’ve got a good defense, a lot of big name guys on that defensive line. I’ve got my hands full this week. Last week was my first week of really getting out there and running. [I’m] just trying to get some rust off, get going, play after play. It felt good.” Take a seat, Sam. You're sitting this one out.New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was listed as doubtful Friday for the team's game against Buffalo on Sunday, making it highly unlikely he will serve as Josh McCown's backup. While coach Todd Bowles left open the possibility Darnold could still dress for the game, the rookie did not practice all week after straining his right foot last Sunday in the Jets' 13-6 loss at Miami. He wore a boot on his foot and watched from the side during practice.Davis Webb is likely to be signed from the practice squad to the active roster to provide insurance for the 39-year-old McCown, who will make his first start of the season."How he feels Youth Shaq Lawson Jersey , how we think he compares as to having Davis as the backup," Bowles said of what will go into the decision on Darnold. "We'll think about a lot of stuff."The Jets (3-6) will have a bye-week break after they play the Bills, with their next game on Nov. 25 against New England. That would give Darnold three weeks to heal 鈥?although Bowles said the timing didn't factor in the team sitting him for McCown."He's just not healthy right now," Bowles said of Darnold.Bowles said on Thursday that Darnold will move back into the starting role once he's healthy, regardless of how McCown is playing.McCown was the starter last season and had a career year before missing the final three games with a broken left hand. He played limited snaps in the preseason, but Bowles isn't concerned about potential rust."He looks like a spring chicken right now," the coach said. "He hasn't played in a while, so he's very camp fresh right now. He should be fine."Darnold leads the NFL with 14 interceptions and his play took a bad turn during New York's three-game losing streak. He has two touchdown passes and seven INTs in that span while working with a supporting cast that has been hit hard by injuries and inconsistency.McCown will likely be without one of his key receivers, with Robby Anderson doubtful to play after not practicing all week with an ankle injury.Anderson has been dealing with it the past few weeks, but played last Sunday against Miami after sitting out against Chicago."It just didn't get any better," Bowles said. "He didn't suffer anything (more). It kind of just didn't get any better."It appeared wide receiver Quincy Enunwa would also be uncertain to play after missing the first two days of practice Youth John Miller Jersey , also with an ankle injury. But, he was a full participant Friday and is expected to start. This will be the first regular-season game in which Enunwa, who leads the Jets with 25 catches, will play with McCown. Enunwa sat out all last season with a neck injury and was limited this summer while recovering from that before injuring a thumb."I didn't really play in camp because I was hurt, so I didn't really get much (time) with Sam," Enunwa said. "But I still ended up having a good rapport with him to start the season off. So, I'm going to go at it the same way. I'm just going to be where I need to be at, be in the right spot and be where he needs me to be so it's easy for him so we automatically kind of have that connection."There's a good chance McCown will be taking his snaps from backup center Jonotthan Harrison because Spencer Long was listed as doubtful with knee and finger injuries that held him out of practice all week. For several weeks, Long has been dealing with the injury to the middle finger on his right hand, which has affected his shotgun snaps. He had at least six wayward snaps against the Dolphins before being pulled.Harrison started for Long two weeks ago at Chicago, and Bowles said he's "very comfortable" with him at center."We know he's very fast Authentic Kyle Williams Jersey , he's athletic, extremely smart and he does a good job," Bowles said. "He can play multiple positions as well, so it won't be strange having him in there."Tight end Neal Sterling will miss his second straight game with a concussion, while nose tackle Steve McLendon is questionable with an ankle injury.Top cornerback Trumaine Johnson is set to return after missing five games with an injured right quadriceps. He fully practiced on Thursday and Friday.

Is Dak Prescott still “the guy” for the Dallas Cowboys?Color Rush Chidobe Awuzie Jersey , and Dak Prescott has been鈥? not as good as many had hoped. So far, Prescott is completing 61.8% of his passes for 961 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. His adjusted yards per attempt is sitting at 6.1 yards. He’s on pace to be sacked 51 times this season; he’s only been sacked 57 times his first two years combined. And the passing offense - which was ostensibly revamped to be more Dak-friendly in the offseason - has been objectively bad, averaging only 192.2 yards per game. What’s worse is that Dak’s ball placement, anticipation of defenses, and overall mechanics have seemingly gotten worse. Of course, any proper assessment of Prescott requires full context. At Mississippi State, Prescott spent nearly full three seasons as the starting quarterback. During that time, he completed 62.8% of his passes for 9,182 yards and 66 touchdowns against 23 interceptions. He also added 2,403 rushing yards on 504 carries and scored 37 touchdowns with his legs. In fact, Prescott still has the third most total yards of any player in SEC school history. He was a consistent name in many quarterback-specific award watchlists and received two first place Heisman votes for his junior season. Entering the 2016 NFL draft, the consensus on Prescott was that he had great potential but needed to refine some key things in order to become a successful NFL quarterback. Looking at the scouting report by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, Prescott was praised for his NFL size, arm strength, mobility, and leadership ability. Zierlein specifically noted how Prescott was “willing to extend plays outside of pocket with legs but look to finish the play with his arm” and that he can deliver accurate throws anywhere on the field when the pocket is clean. Prescott’s biggest weaknesses coming out of college were that he was “hyper aware of pressure around him鈥?must speed up the pace of his reads鈥?footwork is a mess鈥?needs to improve anticipation.” Many of those weaknesses are still present today. However, it should be noted that Zierlein’s, and many other scouts’, final assessment of Prescott was that he would succeed best in a situation where he was given time to refine his mechanics before having to start. Initially, that was the plan when Dallas took him: Dak could spend one or two years learning from Tony Romo and then take over as a fully finished prospect. That didn’t happen, and Prescott was thrust into the starting role earlier than expected. Of course, he was absolutely brilliant in his rookie year, connecting on 67.8% of his passes and putting up 3,667 passing yards, 282 rushing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, six rushing touchdowns, four interceptions, and broke Tom Brady’s record of most pass attempts without an interception to start a career. He and Ezekiel Elliott led a balanced offense to a 13-3 record and Prescott was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year before losing in the playoffs to yet another improbable Aaron Rodgers comeback. Entering the 2017 season, expectations were high for Dak and Zeke. And for a while, both players were living up to the hype. Prior to the now-infamous Atlanta game Color Rush Joe Looney Jersey , the Cowboys were 5-3 and on a three-game win streak with an offense averaging 28 points per game. Dak himself was completing 62.9% of his passes for 1,818 yards and 16 touchdowns against four interceptions, and had run in for four touchdowns as well. Then Elliott left the team to serve his suspension and Tyron Smith missed time with an injury, and Dak didn’t throw a touchdown for three straight games. The last three games of Elliott’s suspension, though, the offense averaged 29 points per game and was getting back on track. But once the star running back returned, the offense failed to adjust and put up just 18 points over their final two games en route to a 9-7 final record and falling outside the playoff picture. So, to recap, Prescott was a Heisman contender in college and played efficient if not great football for a year and a half with the Cowboys, but ever since the speed bump of Elliott’s absence, he and the rest of the offense have been dismal. And as mentioned earlier, many of the holes in Prescott’s game coming out of college are still there. The question is why hasn’t he developed in two years with the team, and the blame for that can be partly placed on Dak and partly on the coaches. After all, hiring Kellen Moore as the quarterbacks coach was supposedly going to help Dak progress further, and if anything he has regressed significantly. So far this season, it seems that Dak’s weaknesses are being exacerbated by a few things: missing Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, not enough cohesion with his new receiving corps, at times poor blocking by the offensive line, and an offensive scheme that doesn’t seek to maximize his best traits. And while Prescott has certainly made his fair share of bad decisions this season, fans can at least take some solace in the fact that his four interceptions haven’t been entirely on him: So is Dak still “the guy” for the Cowboys? Should the team look to draft a quarterback this offseason? That’s definitely up for debate, but it seems that there has been a massive error in evaluating what kind of player Dak Prescott is. After his rookie season, some were hoping he’d become the next Russell Wilson or Michael Vick, or even Tony Romo. Now, Jerry Jones seems to think he’s the next Jared Goff. In reality, it might be that Dak is the next Alex Smith. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, either. Smith had an illustrious college career and was a Heisman contender while playing for Urban Meyer at Utah. He was taken first overall in the 2005 draft by the San Francisco 49ers, and for the first six years of his career he was absolutely terrible. During that time he threw 51 touchdowns and 53 interceptions, and completed 55.5% of his passes. He had a record of 19-31 as a starter. There were even talks about the 49ers cutting him and giving up on their former first-overall pick. It all changed when Jim Harbaugh got hired in San Francisco. He recognized the weaknesses of Smith and instead built a scheme that played to his strengths. It helped that the 49ers also had a very stout defense with playmakers at every level, an offensive line that could give him time, and a running back in Frank Gore that was almost impossible to stop. Sound familiar? Anyway, in Harbaugh’s first year there, Smith threw for over 3,000 yards for the first time in his career Color Rush Taco Charlton Jersey , averaging 7.1 yards per attempt, and tossed 17 touchdowns and only five interceptions. The next year, Smith elevated his game even more, and completed 70% of his passes through nine games before an injury took him out. Of course, Colin Kaepernick then played so well that he took Smith’s job and the quarterback was traded to Kansas City. With the Chiefs, Smith met Andy Reid and other offensive masterminds such as Doug Pederson, Matt Nagy, Eric Bienemy, and Brad Childress. Smith didn’t have very many offensive weapons, but Reid had an idea of how to use him and maximize his strengths better than Harbaugh did. In his seven seasons as a starter for San Francisco, Smith never threw the ball more than 445 times, and it was his first year under Harbaugh. Over the course of Smith’s five years with the Chiefs, he never threw the ball less than 464 times. A lot of this had to do with Reid’s variation of the West Coast offense. He asked Smith to throw a lot, sure, but they were short throws designed to get the ball to players in space. It didn’t matter that their best receiver in 2013 was Dwayne Bowe (remember him?) or that their running back, Jamaal Charles, would lead the team in receptions. Reid schemed around these short passes and let the receivers do the rest after the catch. Once defensive backs started playing up on these short throws, the opportunity for deep shots would open up. And Reid did all of this without forgetting the running game, either. Charles still had 259 carries for 1,287 yards in 2013 despite Smith attempting a whopping 508 passes. The best year for Smith, though, was last season. By this point, Travis Kelce had developed into a star tight end and the Chiefs had just scored two of the most athletic playmakers in Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt. They were tailor made for Reid’s offense, and Smith surpassed 4,000 yards for the first time in his career while throwing 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions. It should also be noted that Reid took advantage of Smith’s running ability, having him carry it 317 times for 1,672 yards and 10 touchdowns during his time in Kansas City. Now, Smith is with the Washington Redskins, a team that seems to be bereft of talent or innovative coaching, and while he hasn’t been terrible, he’s nowhere near as good as he was in Kansas City or even San Francisco in the Harbaugh years. And that’s because Smith isn’t a franchise quarterback. He’s not going to single-handedly drag your team out of mediocrity like Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning. But if Smith is in a scheme that plays to his strengths and doesn’t ask him to do things he’s not good at, he can guide a high-powered offense at least to the playoffs, if not further. And maybe that’s what Dak is. Obviously http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-antwaun-woods-jersey , it’d be great to see Dak’s footwork get cleaned up and his placement on throws be more in the numbers than over the head. But it’s hard to say that his recent struggles mean the team should just give up on him. He’s been bad lately, sure, but he was so good for nearly five years between college and the pro’s, and there’s no way that’s just a coincidence. The Cowboys have a lot of similarities to those Harbaugh 49ers and Reid Chiefs. Zeke is, at the very least, a top three running back in the NFL. The offensive line has underperformed lately but they’re still in the league’s top tier. Cole Beasley is a great route runner, and Tavon Austin has the speed and athleticism to be a discount Tyreek Hill. And then there’s the defense, which is currently allowing just 19.2 points per game. That’s a team that can really succeed if Dak can be like Alex Smith. So, maybe Dak isn’t the next Russell Wilson or Jared Goff. But can he still be successful for the Cowboys? Absolutely. Often times people talk about players like Prescott needing to be fixed, and in an ideal world, that would happen with one good offseason. But sometimes in the NFL, it’s not about fixing a player, it’s about fitting the player. And right now, the Cowboys need to build an offense that Dak fits into, because adding a few wrinkles this year just wasn’t enough. Allen Hurns isn't sure when, or even if, more specific roles will be settled for Dallas Cowboys receivers in the first season without Dez Bryant.Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said it's more "when" than "if.""Right now, you guys have probably noticed, we're moving guys around a lot," Linehan said about a week into training camp in California. "That's a positive, especially early and now. But the thing that's gotta be improved upon is OK, when it gets down to crunch time, this is the guy, he's a go-to player in this route or this play.""We're making strides. But we've got to make strides here quickly," he said. The Cowboys don't have a so-called No. 1 receiver after dumping Bryant, the franchise leader in touchdown receptions, in a cost-cutting move during the offseason. Cole Beasley, with 53 fewer career TDs (20), is the Dallas dean in a mix of holdovers, newcomers and rookies that lacks anyone even close to the pedigree of Bryant. Before skipping a couple of practices with a mild leg issue, the 6-foot-1 Hurns was with the diminutive pair of fellow newcomer Tavon Austin and Beasley in three-receiver sets with the first team. Austin and Beasley, both listed at 5-8, are on the field a lot together."I'd rather see it as two fast Color Rush Brett Maher Jersey , quick guys," receivers coach Sanjay Lal said when asked about two small guys on the field at the same time. "Yes, an advantage I think."Hurns spent most of his four seasons with Jacksonville as an inside receiver but said his best year — the only 1,000-yard season among the dozen receivers the Cowboys brought to camp — came when he spent more time outside.Austin, acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams after five disappointing seasons as the eighth overall pick in 2013, had at least as many carries as catches three times in those five years. So there's little question he will move around in formations. But he probably won't be the only one moving around."The main thing for us, everybody needs to know all three positions and get comfortable at what you've got to do," Hurns said. "Right now, no one has like a set position where you're just inside or just outside."And Beasley tends to think it doesn't matter."You're still getting open and catching balls," he said. "It's about production, whether it's from the inside or outside. Wes Welker led the league in receiving as a slot receiver. We've got tons of guys who can do both. If you're a receiver, you're playing all of them."Michael Gallup, the first receiver drafted by Dallas post-Bryant as a third-rounder, is the rookie most likely to get significant playing time. Sixth-round pick Cedrick Wilson is probably out for the season with a shoulder injury sustained on the first day in pads at camp. The receiver best built for the outside is the easiest one to forget: 6-2, 210-pound Terrance Williams, Dallas' third-round choice five years ago. After breaking his foot in January, the former Dallas high school player was arrested for public intoxication in May coming off the first season of his career without a touchdown.Having recently settled all the claims with police in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, where the Cowboys have their headquarters, Williams is quietly trying to work his way into the rotation. Williams, who isn't talking to reporters during camp, has been getting first-team work after starting out with the second group at camp."He's worked really hard to come back from the injury," coach Jason Garrett said. "He has been limited the whole time. We anticipated that. Hasn't hit any roadblocks where he's going backward."Williams isn't alone in switching spots on the depth chart. The Cowboys have been doing that since the start of the offseason. And it's not out of the question that it could continue into the regular season."That's the one thing I like about the whole situation," Austin said. "I don't care who the one, two or three receiver is. The more people we've got, the faster we are."With the retirement of 15-year tight end Jason Witten, the Cowboys don't have a pass-catcher in his 30s. The oldest — by two months over Beasley — is another newcomer in journeyman Deonte Thompson. From Linehan's point of view, it's a young group."Every day we're learning something about our guys," Linehan said. "Finding the balance is out here and the proof's in what you're able to do and how you're able to perform when you've got a matchup and you've got to win that matchup. We're finding who those guys are right now." Custom San Francisco 49ers Jerseys

r two consecutive victories http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-antwaun-woods-jersey , coach Jay Gruden knows that being in first place atop the NFC East at this point in the season is truly not really a big deal at all."It's great to get two in a row, get the monkey off our back this year," Gruden said, "but we have a long way to go before we start celebrating."The Redskins (4-2) extended their division lead by beating the Cowboys 20-17 on Sunday, holding on when Dallas kicker Matt Baher put a 52-yard field-goal try off the left crossbar as time expired after a 5-yard penalty on his long snapper pushed the attempt back. The result stopped Washington's pattern of alternating wins and losses this season. It also allowed Gruden's club 鈥?which began the day 18-18-1 since the start of the 2016 season 鈥?to briefly enjoy a rare cushion in the standings.Dallas heads into its bye week at 3-4, the same record as the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, who also lost Sunday. The fourth team in the division is the New York Giants, who take a 1-5 record into their game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. The Giants also happen to be Washington's opponent next week.Get this: The Redskins hadn't won their opening NFC East game in any season since 2011."It's pretty early to talk about that kind of stuff," Washington quarterback Alex Smith said. "But you do realize that those division games, down the line, have huge ramifications."What we learned about the Cowboys and the Redskins moving forward:COWBOYS BYEThe good news for Dallas is that it gets two weeks to try to work on all of its issues, from the inefficient offense, to the key penalties, to the week-to-week inconsistencies. "We got time now to fix it 鈥?over drinks," defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence joked. The loss to Washington continued a real problem: The Cowboys are now 0-4 on the road, 3-0 at home. They host the Tennessee Titans (3-4) in their next game, on Nov. 5, then travel to play at Philadelphia on Nov. 11, and at Atlanta on Nov. 18.AS ZEKE GOES ...When RB Ezekiel Elliott is held under 75 yards, Dallas is 0-3 this season and 0-5 for his career. He gained only 34 yards on 15 carries against Washington, and a Cowboys team that put up 40 points in a victory over the supposedly defensive-minded Jacksonville Jaguars was held to less than half that this time around. Getting that straightened out is a big must for Dallas. "Teams are going to game-plan around him," center Joe Looney said about Elliott.SAQUON'S NEXTAfter limiting Elliott, the Redskins next challenge shapes up as taking on Giants rookie Saquon Barkley, the No. 2 overall draft pick who enters Monday with 438 yards Color Rush Brett Maher Jersey , a 5.2 average per carry and four TDs. "Our defense, they'll have a tough challenge, but they're well-equipped to stop him," Redskins RB Adrian Peterson said. "They did a great job at controlling the front (against Dallas). They're going to have to do the same thing next week."PETERSON STILL DOING ITPeterson was the better running back Sunday, even though he is 33, a full decade older than Elliott. Peterson, who was available for any team when he was signed by the Redskins in the preseason, gained 99 yards on 24 rushes against Dallas. "I think everyone else around is surprised; I'm not," Peterson said. "I expect greatness from myself."SHAKY SMITHThere were quite a few mistakes made by Smith that wound up limiting Washington's scoring and making things tougher on the team than they needed to be. He missed a wide-open Jeremy Sprinkle in the end zone on one first-and-goal situation that resulted in a field goal. Another poor pass to the end zone led to another field goal following first-and-goal. A third-down scramble on which he ended up out of bounds with 78 seconds left stopped the clock for Dallas before Washington punted. "If we do a better job in the red zone, then the game could have been different, ended up much different, not as dramatic," said Smith, who was 14 of 25 for 178 yards and one TD pass. "We could have opened that up a little bit."Cowboys lesson learned: The Texans highlighted their biggest weakness An overtime game is, by definition, close. The Dallas Cowboys managed to end regulation tied with the Houston Texans before they lost due to a combination of failed execution and, in hindsight at least, a really bad coaching decision on fourth-and-one. But the truth is, it wasn’t really that close, as the Texans outgained and outplayed the Cowboys almost the entire game. Only some really boneheaded calls of their own plus some big defensive plays at just the right moment kept Houston from winning it pretty handily. They moved the ball up and down the field, mostly at will, while the Cowboys had the same problems with third down conversions and settling for field goals that we have seen all season. It was a hot mess of a performance by the Dallas offense, and it showed that there is a clear way to shut them down. You slow down the run game and rush Dak Prescott relentlessly. It is the biggest weakness they have, and Houston exploited it almost to perfection.Ezekiel Elliott only had 54 rushing yards in the game http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-la_el-collins-jersey , which put the pressure on the passing offense. That is still not working well, especially on the road in front of a hostile crowd. It is not just one thing, either.First is that Prescott is not handling the pressure well. He tends to be inaccurate and indecisive with the ball, or misses what look like better options to throw the ball. With the Texans pass rush coming at him hard all game, the improvement of week four evaporated. The first interception off the hands of Tavon Austin came on a pass that, while possibly catchable, was clearly too high and too far in front. Had that ball been on target where Austin did not have to leap for it, not only would it not have gone over to Houston, it would have been a first down and Austin had a lot of room to use his speed and elusiveness. Too many other passes from Prescott were much the same. Though they were in the strictest sense balls that could be caught, they required the receiver to adjust way too much. It was especially frustrating to see him failing at this while Deshaun Watson was escaping similar hard rushes, but throwing accurately and making big plays.Meanwhile, the receivers certainly did not help at times. There were notable drops, at least two of which killed drives in a game where just one more score could have delivered the win for the Cowboys. The wide receivers as a group are just not having an impact. Ezekiel Elliott once more had the most catches with seven, but with only 4.3 yards gained on average, that did not help. Clearly the Texans were ready for the screen pass to him, blowing it up when they tried.Surprisingly, the best receiving threat for the Cowboys may now be tight end Geoff Swaim. He had 55 yards on three catches. That is still far too low a total for your top receiver, but he did have the one long play when he was used in a screen pass. That caught Houston a bit off guard, and Swaim showed again that he can run very effectively after the catch. And Rico Gathers had the third longest catch of the game to excite his fans. But all that is not enough with the wide receivers not doing much at all. And now there is a bit of dissension emerging over just who is the problem there. Allen Hurns is disputing the claims that the wide receivers are just not getting open. That certainly looks like some tension in the locker room, which is never a good thing.Things don’t stop with the quarterback and the receivers, though. The offensive line is also letting the pressure come through far too quickly. Joe Looney has done a much better job filling in for Travis Frederick than expected, but you still have to question if he and rookie Connor Williams are not making things a little too easy on the pass rush. In any case, Prescott was under fire all game. He was only sacked twice, but took six hits and evaded several other rushes with his mobility. It was exciting to see him do his own spin-move escape from J.J. Watt to find Tavon Austin for a 44-yard gain Color Rush Jaylon Smith Jersey , but that was more an exception, as a moving Prescott was usually not making connections.Meanwhile, let’s throw some shade at Scott Linehan. One of Prescott’s sacks came just before the two-minute warning of the fourth quarter, and it looked like a really bad play for the situation. The pass rush had been coming hard all game, limiting the time to get a throw off, but this play involved a double fake on play-action. If it had decoyed the defense, it might have worked. But there had been no indication prior that the Texans were biting on those fakes, and by the time he was able to look downfield, all Prescott could see was that pass rush bearing down on him. It still seems too much like Linehan is determined to run plays without taking the situation into account. A slow developing pass play was the last thing the Cowboys needed or even seemed capable of doing. So that is how you thwart the Dallas offense. A good pass rush plus the ability to keep Elliott from gashing you. And that is a big problem, because in the next six games, Dallas faces Jacksonville, Washington (twice), Tennessee, and Philadelphia - all teams that have been very solid doing just those things so far this season. That is shaping up to be a really hard stretch, and if the Cowboys don’t find some kind of solution, the season could be pretty much done for by mid-November.No sugarcoating here. Not only is this a huge vulnerability for Dallas, there is no evidence they can fix it effectively. A dynamic wide receiver is not available at the local PlayerMart, and as much as you may want to fire Linehan and Jason Garrett, that wouldn’t turn things around in mid-season. Brace yourselves. The rest of the NFL knows how to stop the Cowboys, and way too many of them are fully capable of doing it. Custom Chicago Bears Jerseys

On Sunday Youth Clay Matthews Jersey , the Green Bay Packers face the New Pulpit was kind enough to answer some of our questions about the Patriots and provide insight into their strengths and weaknesses.APC: The Packers and Patriots rarely see each other, only playing each other four times this century. What has changed about New England since the two teams last faced off in 2014?APC: Heading into Week 9, Tom Brady ranks outside the top third of starting quarterbacks in passer rating and has nearly matched his entire interception total from last season. Do these figures simply reflect the quality of his supporting cast (Julian Edelman’s suspension, Josh Gordon’s late arrival via trade, etc.) or have you seen a dip in Brady’s play?APC: In one of the stranger stories of the offseason, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels accepted a head-coaching position with the Colts before changing his mind and returning to New England. Given the ramifications of such a decision http://www.authenticsgreenbaypackers.com/cheap-nick-perry-jersey , why do you believe McDaniels jilted Indianapolis to remain Bill Belichick’s subordinate? Will another team consider him for a head-coaching position after what happened?APC: If you were game planning against the Patriots, how would you attack them on offense? On defense?APC: Finally, it’s prediction time. Which team wins on Sunday and why? We’d like to thank Bernd and Pats Pulpit for answering our questions. Be sure to check out our Q&A session over there, as well as their fantastic coverage of all things Patriots. As always, keep your internet machines tuned to Acme Packing Company this Sunday for our comprehensive game-day coverage of Packers versus Patriots. Aaron Rodgers has a heavy load to bear the next five weeks. So he might ditch a little weight to make the travel easier.According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Rodgers hopes to get rid of the bulky knee brace he’s been wearing since injuring his left knee in the opener Youth JK Scott Jersey , though it might not be this week.“If I’m completely healed, I don’t need to wear a brace,” Rodgers said. “Feel more comfortable without it, obviously. Having dealt with a knee injury for much of my football life, obviously you’re more protected. You see some guys who do wear it all the time without having issues, but I just feel more comfortable without having it on. So if it’s not on Color Rush Kenny Clark Jersey , that means I’m feeling great, and if it is, that means I’m not quite all the way back.”The Packers need him at his best, entering a stretch of games at the Rams, at the Patriots, a lone home game against the Dolphins and road trips to the Vikings and Seahawks..They’re 8.5-point underdogs this week http://www.authenticsgreenbaypackers.com/cheap-davante-adams-jersey , the largest margin they’ve seen since Rodgers has been their starter. And whether he’s wearing the brace or not, he said they’re聽“going to have to play better, we’re going to have to play a lot better than we have to win those games.”At 3-2-1, it figures to be a defining month of their season whether they want to admit it or not, so it’s natural for Rodgers to want to feel unencumbered.

Video Preview: Buffalo Bills vs.Womens Jason Croom Jersey , the Buffalo Bills look to right the ship at home against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans, under new head coach Mike Vrabel, are off to a great start in 2018. They are 3-1 with big division wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans. Here are three crucial items to watch for as the Bills look to defend their dirt. Will the Bills be able to score? After the shutout in Green Bay, the Bills now rank 31st in the NFL in scoring. On the other sideline, the Titans have allowed the 7th fewest points in the league. It appears that former New England Patriots player and coach, and rookie Titans head coach, Mike Vrabel has his defense humming. Can the offensive line get it together? The Bills’ offensive line is ranked 32nd in the league after their week four debacle. The coaches have only made one change to the line this season. They replaced Ryan Groy with Russell Bodine as the starting center in the lead up to the game against the Minnesota Vikings. Will they make any more changes after a brutal game in Green Bay?Injuries in the secondaryThe Bills’ best defensive player, Micah Hyde, left the Packers game in the first quarter and did not return. Hyde and his backup, Rafael Bush, did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Buffalo brought in free agent CB Dontae Johnson to fill the void that may be left by one or both safeties.Football Outsiders analyzes the Buffalo Bills QB race For a team that made the playoffs in 2017, the Buffalo Bills made a lot of changes to their roster http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jordan-mills-jersey , starting with the most important position: quarterback. After trading incumbent Tyrod Taylor for the first pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Buffalo, which had plenty of draft capital at its disposal, traded up to select Wyoming’s Josh Allen with the No. 7 overall pick. This after veteran signal-caller AJ McCarron was inked to a team-friendly two-year deal to compete for the starting QB job with second-year man Nathan Peterman. So far during the preseason, Peterman and McCarron have each started a preseason game, while Allen is starting Sunday’s 4 p.m. home game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. We asked Football Outsiders for their take on who starts the year at QB for the Bills, and if that same QB would finish the year under center. (Note: this interview was conducted before McCarron suffered an injury during the 19-17 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the preseason and before Allen was named the starter of the third preseason game.)“Oh man, are the tribalism, ‘the national media hates us!’ guys in this crowd going to hate me when this interview is over. It’s okay, I’m used to it. Just getting you prepared,” Rivers McCown said. “I don’t think highly of McCarron’s work in Cincinnati and think he’s this year’s Brock Osweiler/Mike Glennon. In an ideal world, Josh Allen would get a year to learn. I don’t think that’s going to happen. And then you’ve got Peterman Authentic Tremaine Edmunds Jersey , who I don’t consider a high-upside player but perhaps someone who could hold things up until Allen is ready in an ideal scenario. I would be stunned if one quarterback started all 16 games. I think McCarron will get the first look and the quick hook for Peterman, with Allen on deck if the season goes south.”Allen’s play has generated plenty of buzz, and he has shown a lot of potential in completing 18-of-32 passes (56 percent completion rate), for 176 yards with two touchdowns and a 92.7 quarterback rating. Peterman has been even better, completing 85 percent of his passes (17 of 20) for 231 yards with two TDs, one interception, and a 127.3 quarterback rating, tops among all quarterbacks with 20+ passes this preseason.McCarron is coming off his worst game of the preseason, when he was 3-of-6 for 12 yards and zero first downs in Buffalo’s first two series vs. Cleveland before departing the game with an injury. In the preseason opener, McCarron went 7-of-10 for 116 yards. The Football Outsiders Almanac is available now.

ay’s game against the Vikings Youth Jordan Poyer Jersey , but it’s hard to imagine anyone in Buffalo getting too upset about that development. They scored the first 27 points of the game, led 27-0 at halftime and cruised to a 27-6 win for the most surprising result of Week Three. The Bills had been handled with little sweat by the Ravens and Chargers in the first two weeks of the season and were 16.5-point underdogs in a road game against the Vikings, but they opened the game strong and never turned back.Josh Allen ran for a 10-yard touchdown to open the game, added a sneak for another and threw a touchdown pass to Jason Croom while the more heralded Kirk Cousins lost a pair of fumbles in the first quarter. The Vikings offense didn’t cross midfield until the second half and didn’t get on the scoreboard until there were under three minutes left to play in the game. The performance, which came without the injured running back Dalvin Cook and defensive end Everson Griffen Buffalo Bills Hats , will lead to questions about the Vikings’ readiness. In particular, they’ll be asked if they overlooked the Bills in favor of focusing on their Week Four Thursday night game against the Rams.If they were looking past the Bills, they paid for it because Buffalo came ready to play and put together the kind of performance that will make for a happier week as they prepare for another road game in Green Bay. The Bills currently have the three lowest passers who have thrown the ball more than seven times this season. Maybe they’re now hoping to make it four. That’s really the only way to explain the decision to go with Matt Barkley at quarterback on Sunday against the Jets. That and the reality the fact that Barkley is: (1) healthy; and (2) not Nathan Peterman.A fourth-round pick in 2013 who at one point was expected to go much higher, Barkley signed with the Bills on October 31. And while he has been on multiple rosters since his last actual regular-season playing appearance, Barkley is as rusty when it comes to playing in games that count as a certain unemployed quarterback who once wore No. 7 for the 49ers Buffalo Bills Hoodie , like Barkley, and who, like Barkley, last played on January 1, 2017.On that day Customized Buffalo Bills Jerseys , Barkley completed 10 of 14 passes for 125 yards and two interceptions, generating a passer rating of 59.2. On that same day, a certain unemployed quarterback completed 17 of 22 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown, generating a passer rating of 122.3.So take the Jets and give the points and enjoy being a Bills fan for as long as they try to get by with this bizarre Wheel of Misfortune at the most important position on the field.

xpect to see him starting for the Bills in Sunday’s game Youth Vladimir Ducasse Jersey , but the team hasn’t confirmed anything yet.At his Friday press conference, Bills head coach Sean McDermott ruled Derek Anderson out for Sunday as he remains in the concussion protocol without saying that Peterman will be the starter. Josh Allen, who has been out the last three weeks with a right elbow injury, will be limited in practice for the third time this week on Friday and McDermott said that the team is “still working through” the starter decision.McDermott said that Allen is “progressing well” and Allen said earlier this week that he feels good throwing the ball since his official return to practice last week. If he does not play this week, he’d have a couple of weeks to continue working before the Bills play in Week 12 against the Jaguars.McDermott also said that tight end Charles Clay and defensive end Trent Murphy will not play this weekend. I have to lead off with an apology. If you followed my advice and started the Buffalo Bills defense/special teams like our Editor-in-Chief, Matt Warren, then you rolled the dice with a stop-unit that looked listless throughout the entire game between the Indianapolis Colts and a team masquerading as our Bills. I started them in one of my leagues too, and I wore those -2 fantasy points for the week like a scarlet letter “L” for loser. While my squad was able to overcome Buffalo’s defensive deficiencies in pulling out the “W,” it was in no part due to any other Bills players. (Editor’s note: I still won Cheap LeSean McCoy Jersey , too, facing the team that scored the fewest points this week. - MRW) Somehow, there were a few Bills worthy of flex plays this week despite the pitiful offensive showing. RB Chris IvoryI thought that Buffalo’s thunder would have a big role in the game complementing LeSean McCoy’s lightning. I wasn’t expecting Shady to bow out of the game on only Buffalo’s second play from scrimmage, as his head bounced off the Lucas Oil Stadium turf, leaving him dazed and in concussion protocol. As a result, Ivory became the main man in the backfield, and he responded with a solid game. He carried 16 times for 81 yards, adding three receptions for 25 yards. Overall, Ivory scored 12.1 fantasy points for the week. Given the uncertainty of McCoy’s status for Monday Night Football against the New England Patriots this week Cheap Kelvin Benjamin Jersey , Ivory isn’t a bad player to stash on the bench. Even if the game is out of hand early, Ivory is an adept receiver who can pick up yards after the catch, and he will certainly have short-yardage touches that might even be around the goal line...if the Bills can make it that far.RB Marcus MurphyWith quarterback Derek Anderson making the start just twelve days after signing, we knew that Buffalo would rely on the running game. With McCoy leaving early due to injury, it was Murphy who picked up the slack as a complement to Ivory. The nimble scat back ran only four times, but he managed 53 yards on the ground for the day. He also had five receptions for 17 yards, giving him a 9.5-point fantasy day. Given that Murphy is owned in 0% of fantasy leagues, the chances that you benefited from his performance are, well Cheap Dion Dawkins Jersey , nonexistent. If McCoy misses the game and you’re feeling frisky, he’s definitely available for add; however, I’d add Ivory first.WR Kelvin BenjaminThe only receiver to have played a game with Derek Anderson prior to Sunday was targeted five times, and he had his best day of the 2018 season. Benjamin hauled in four passes for a total of 71 yards, good for a 9.1-point fantasy output. That total is Benjamin’s greatest of the year, surpassing a two-catch effort in Week Two where he totaled 19 yards and a touchdown.

The Denver Broncos may have lost a respected voic Texans on Tuesday Womens Ndamukong Suh Jersey , but they certainly didn't lose any of their gift of gab."I don't flinch from situations like this," declared rookie receiver Courtland Sutton , whose emergence as a big-play threat made the 30-year-old Thomas more valuable to general manager John Elway as trade bait than a tutor.Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr., who credited Thomas with helping to make him the superstar he's become, will spend Sunday trying to snarl DeAndre Hopkins when the Broncos (3-5) host the Texans (5-3) in Thomas' hurried homecoming. If Harris finds himself covering Thomas, who's replacing Will Fuller (ACL) in the Texans' lineup, the advantage goes to ..."Oh, me," Harris said matter-of-factly.Why's that?"I'm that good."The same can't be said for the Broncos overall. They've lost five of six despite a backfield that's the best in the business, averaging an NFL-high 5.3 yards per carry but just 18th in rush attempts per game.Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is doing what Mike McCoy did in Denver before getting fired last year: spreading out the offensive formations despite a good ground game and left tackle Garett Bolles' holding habit.Case Keenum has been sacked 22 times, 20 of which have come with him in the shotgun, to go with a league-high 10 interceptions.Defensively, the Broncos have been stumped by cornerback Bradley Roby's slide after his promotion from nickel back following the trade of Aqib Talib. In a contract year, they expected him to flourish as a starter. Instead http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/michael-brockers-jersey , he's been giving his man too much cushion or getting fooled by quarterbacks burning him for big plays.Middling drafts prior to this year's crescendo has left coach Vance Joseph (8-16) without the option of benching Bolles or Roby, although cornerback Tramaine Brock's return from a pulled hamstring and solid play over the past two weeks could foretell a return to some nickel back snaps for Roby.Elway insists the Broncos can turn things around over the second half and avoid the franchise's first back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-72.If not, Joseph could be out of a job.Texans coach Bill O'Brien was feeling the heat himself before J.J. Watt and DeShaun Watson rounded into form, leading Houston on a five-game winning streak, something only four other teams in the Super Bowl era have done after starting 0-3.The Texans were devastated last week when receiver Will Fuller (32 catches, 503 yards, 4 TDs) tore an ACL, ending his season.Enter Thomas (36 catches, 402 yards, three TDs) ."It's going to be great" having Thomas alongside Hopkins, Watson said. "Nothing really should stop the train. D.T.'s a veteran guy that can do a lot of different things and he's played a lot football. So it's a great opportunity for all of us to get on the same page and continue to put a lot yards in the air and put a lot points on the board."Other subplots Sunday when Thomas returns to Denver for his first look at the visitor's locker room and gets a peek at the "Thank you" banner being added to his 10-story-high image on the north side of Mile High Stadium:KEENUM-O'BRIENKeenum and O'Brien are mutual admirers, but they have a different view of their brief time together in Houston. In his book, Keenum wrote that when the Texans signed Ryan Mallet and cut him, "Coach O'Brien looked right at me and told me I'd never be more than a third-string quarterback in the NFL."Not so Authentic Todd Gurley II Jersey , said O'Brien."In all my years of coaching, I've never said anything like that to any player," O'Brien said, adding, "I have a great, great amount of respect for Case Keenum."Keenum didn't back down, saying he "outlined it in my book," but he did return the praise."I've got so much respect for Coach O'Brien. I learned so much ball from him, just how to study defenses, what type of leverages and coverages, just dissecting defenses. He taught me so much ball," Keenum said."Whatever it was that was said motivated me. Every coach I've ever had, they've gotten me to where I am now. I've got the utmost respect for him and the whole Texans organization."WATT A COMEBACKWatt has shaken off two years of injuries to return to superstardom with eight sacks, 10 tackles for loss Authentic Jared Goff Jersey , 13 quarterback hits and four forced fumbles. He's started all eight games this season after playing in just eight games combined over the previous two seasons because of a bad back and a broken leg."I can't sit here and get too mad at people who thought I might be washed up or thought I might be done because I was sitting in that same boat when I was sitting at home with a cast on my leg and not being able to walk, thinking, 'Man, will I be the same again?'" Watt said."I still don't think I'm there yet. I still think I'm working and trying to get back there, but it's been fun to play, it's been fun to win, it's been fun to just go out there and make some plays."YOUTH SERVEDSutton isn't the only Broncos rookie making a huge impact. Edge rusher Bradley Chubb , the No. 5 overall pick in the draft, leads all rookies with seven sacks and is won Defensive Rookie of the Month honors for October. Undrafted running back Phillip Lindsay leads all rookies with 531 yards rushing.Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals: Top Week 2 storylines The Los Angeles Rams were able to get 33 points on the board against the Oakland Raiders on Monday night in a decisive week 1 victory, yet it still felt like they could have done more. That’s how good this team is. However, it wasn’t all Gatorade baths and high-fives.The LA Rams are in search for a kick return specialistIt looks like the Rams have an injury crisis at the kickoff/punt return position with WR Pharoh Cooper headed to IR and a groin/hip issue for WR Mike Thomas, the backup return specialist, for a bit though we’ll need to keep our eyes on the injury report. So, who is going to return kicks this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals? It sounds like preseason fan favorite WR Jojo Natson will be called up to take over the kickoff and punt return duties.Rams’ defense made some key adjustments in win against OaklandCB Aqib Talib went on NFL Total Access and explained that the defense had to freestyle the first half against the unknown Raider’s defense.Even though they held the Oakland Raiders to 13 points http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/lamarcus-joyner-jersey , the defense got dragged a little.Literally. The offensive line gets some love Pro Football Focus ran the numbers and the Rams’ O-line came out on top, save for C John Sullivan — we still love you, big guy. This is a huge accomplishment, especially for RG Austin Blythe, who is filling in for starter Jamon Brown — his performance is even starting rumors that he has the starting job going forward. Even everyone’s favorite Canadian TST writer, Sosa, agrees:Jared Goff still needs more snaps to sharpen up his playTST has been banging the drum to make sure we all understand how unusual it was that the offensive unit didn’t get any snaps in the preseason games. Even though they came away with a Week 1 victory, did they merely dodge a bullet or is their defense that good? And how good is Jared Goff? There is a lot of “overrated” talk when it comes to Goff. But that comes with the territory with a #1 draft pick. He still has some fans, though. The Rams will now host the Arizona Cardinals for week 2I recently wrote that the Rams shouldn’t overlook the Cards, because they could be sneaky good, especially with superstar RB David Johnson in the backfield. But most folks are still betting that the Rams will crush the red birds. So, those are your storylines for the week. We’ll see you jerks on Sunday at the Los Angeles Coliseum at 1:05pm. Remember: our colors are blue and white now.

his opportunity to join the Saints' seemingly inevitable march to the postseason."Let's not jump ahead. I've got a lot of learning to do and a lot of catching up Mark Ingram Jersey ," Marshall said after his first practice with New Orleans on Wednesday. "I've been at the top and I'm on the bottom right now."By bottom, the 34-year-old Marshall means getting cut repeatedly in the past couple seasons, most recently by Seattle a couple weeks ago.Even after he worked out for New Orleans (8-1) last week, Marshall wasn't the Saints' top choice. New Orleans went instead with Dez Bryant, but lost the former Dallas Cowboys star to a season-ending Achilles injury in his second practice."When you're on the other side of 30 and you don't produce, this is the situation you'll find yourself in," Marshall said. "Being cut two times in a year is interesting. It built a lot of character. ... When Seattle cut me, I just continued to work out, stay in shape and have faith."Marshall had flown back to his temporary home in Seattle after his Saints tryout, only to hop back on a flight to New Orleans again on Sunday afternoon, while the offense he was about to join was putting up 51 points in Cincinnati.Ankle and toe injuries cost Marshall most of his 2017 season with the New York Giants, who didn't bring him back, leaving him free to sign with the Seahawks. Marshall said he wasn't full healthy until around Week 3 or 4 of this season which, ironically, was about the time his snap count began to plummet in Seattle."I know that the narrative is that I'm done," Marshall said.Yet Marshall predicted he'd demonstrate in practice that between his 6-foot-5 frame Authentic Max Unger Jersey , route-running, strong hands, and ability to quickly grasp offensive schemes, that he can still help a team with playoff credentials. Marshall noted that because he played in Chicago under then-offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer, a former offensive assistant to Saints coach Sean Payton, he is familiar with New Orleans' scheme.Payton called Marshall's ability to process a play book "one of his strengths," adding that he expects Marshall's transition in New Orleans "to be pretty smooth."Meanwhile, Marshall described the opportunity to play with Saints record-setting QB Drew Brees "a wide receiver's dream." Likewise, Brees was quick to throw a few compliments Marshall's way."He's a smart, veteran guy who is very fluid. I've seen him in a lot of different offenses 鈥?seen him be successful both as an outside receiver, an inside receiver. He's very versatile. He's a big target. A big catching radius. Just watching him run today, he's pretty impressive."We talked for a while today," Brees added. "He's excited. We're excited to have him."Marshall's addition adds depth to an offense that already leads the NFL in scoring with 36.7 points per game and ranks in the top five in yards per game with 413.9.Seattle released Marshall on Oct. 30 after he'd appeared in the first seven games this season, catching 11 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. But he had just two catches for 16 yards in his last four games.Seattle was the sixth NFL team for Marshall, who has eight 1,000-plus-yard seasons in his career. His best season Sheldon Rankins Jersey Salute to Service , statistically, came with the New York Jets in 2015, when he caught 109 passes for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns.Even now, Marshall insisted, his motivation remains to achieve "greatness.""There's no reason why, with technology and modern medicine and with access we have to doctors around the world, why athletes can't play into their mid-30s or their 40s," Marshall said, stressing that he now feels "fit as a fiddle and healthy as a trout."It's not yet clear whether Marshall will play much, if at all this Sunday against Philadelphia. But Eagles coach Doug Pederson said his defense has to be prepared for the possibility."He's, I think, a red-zone threat with his size and so I think that's where we'll see him a little bit, is down there," Pederson said. "He's another big, physical receiver Limited Ryan Ramczyk Jersey , hard to defend and our guys definitely have their work cut out this week."Notes: Starting left tackle Terron Armstead did not practice. He was listed on the injury report as having a shoulder injury. Veteran Jermon Bushrod is filling in, resuming the role he occupied on New Orleans' 2009 Super Bowl championship squad. If you’re a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at three/four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster. So here are two Saints and two Ravens that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)RB Alvin Kamara (NO) - $8,200Alvin Kamara took the back seat to the return of Mark Ingram last week, but I think we see something closer to the amount of touches Kamara received through the season’s first four games. Kamara is $2,000 cheaper than the most expensive running back available, so even against a stout Ravens defense, he’s a great value play this week.RB Mark Ingram (NO) - $7,400Speaking of good value, Ingram is $800 cheaper than Kamara, so we’re going to double-down on the New Orleans run game. Kamara could pile up the yards, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see Ingram as the bulldozer to punch it into the end zone. WR John Brown (BAL) - $6,500John Brown might be one of the best value plays in all of daily fantasy this week. He’s $2,300 cheaper than the most expensive wide receiver available Authentic Alex Anzalone Jersey , so he’s a great addition to your daily fantasy lineups. With Michael Crabtree expecting to line up against Marshon Lattimore for the majority of the game, it will be Brown who will be up against PJ Williams and Ken Crawley. We saw just a couple of short weeks ago what Sterling Shepard did against this duo, so look for Brown to have similar success.WR Willie Snead (BAL) - $5,400Just like we’re doubling down on the Saints run game, we’re going to double down on two Ravens wide receivers. This is the revenge game for Willie Snead as he faces his former team for the first time. Everyone in the game knows that Snead will look to put up big numbers against his former teammates, so look for Joe Flacco to force the ball Snead’s way in the game.My full daily fantasy lineup this week: QB: Mitchell Trubisky (CHI) - $7,500RB: Alvin Kamara (NO) - $8,200RB: Mark Ingram (NO) - $7,400WR: John Brown (BAL) - $6,500WR: Willie Snead (BAL) - $5,400WR: Julian Edelman (NE) - $7,100TE: Eric Ebron (IND) - $6,800FLEX: RB Tevin Coleman (ATL) - $6,300DST: Texans (at Jaguars) - $4,800 Custom Cleveland Browns Jerseys

CHICAGO (AP) — in the middle of the field. He looked short and he looked for deep balls. No one was open.It was that kind of Monday night for the Seattle Seahawks.Wilson was surrounded for most of Seattle’s 24-17 loss to the Chicago Bears Frank Clark Color Rush Jersey , and he got very little help from his teammates until the fourth quarter. He was sacked six times for the second straight week, including five in the first half, and made a game-sealing mistake in the final period.“We’re still a work in progress,” coach Pete Carroll said. “You can see how hard our guys played, see how they fought throughout all the way to the last seconds on the clock.”Seattle (0-2) played without guard D.J. Fluker and receiver Doug Baldwin due to injuries, and Baldwin’s absence was particularly noticeable. Tyler Lockett was the Seahawks’ top receiver with five catches for 60 yards, but he got most of his numbers in the fourth. Brandon Marshall struggled to get open against one of his former teams.“I can always do better,” Marshall said. “There’s some things I definitely have to clean up. Just got to be sharper in everything that I do. We got to find a way to make plays.”The rushing attack also was shut down by Chicago’s refurbished defense, finishing with 74 yards on 22 carries. Seattle went almost 24 minutes of game time between rushing plays at one point.Wilson began the fourth quarter with just 69 yards on 9-for-20 passing, but he tried to rally the Seahawks down the stretch.“The fourth quarter showed us who we are and who we can be,” Wilson said. “We just got to get a better start and try to figure out how to catch that fire that we had in the fourth quarter, let’s put it in the first, second, third if we can do that, which I don’t think we’re far off by any means.”The four-time Pro Bowler found Lockett for 20 yards and tight end Nathan Vannett for 11 to move Seattle deep into Chicago territory. He then threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Lockett to trim the Bears’ lead to 17-10 with 10:13 left.Chicago (1-1) went three and out on the ensuing drive and punted the ball right back to Seattle. But Wilson’s pass intended for Rashaad Penny near midfield was picked off by Prince Amukamara, who returned his first interception since 2015 for his first career touchdown with 6:37 remaining.“You can’t even remember the last time Russ did that,” Carroll said.Wilson also lost a fumble on Seattle’s next drive. He passed to Will Dissly for a 2-yard touchdown with 14 seconds to go, but the Seahawks’ onside kick was unsuccessful and the Bears ran out the clock. The lackluster showing for Seattle’s offense wasted a solid performance for its defense, led by two second-quarter interceptions for Shaquill Griffin. The second-year cornerback made a nice play on an underthrown ball by Mitchell Trubisky Dion Jordan Color Rush Jersey , and then had a diving grab on a tipped ball.Mychal Kendricks had one of Seattle’s two sacks in his first game since he signed with the Seahawks on Friday. Kendricks pleaded guilty last week to insider trading charges, but he isn’t expected to be sentenced in the case until January and the NFL has yet to impose any discipline.“Just having this opportunity to play it means so much more to me,” said Kendricks, who was released by Cleveland on Aug. 29 after the charges were filed. “That being said, I plan on doing the most with it.”It just wasn’t enough, not with the Seahawks’ ineffective offense.Wilson was 22 for 36 for 226 yards. Penny was the top rusher with 10 carries for 30 yards as Seattle possessed the ball for just 25 1/2 minutes.“The fighter mentality in me is always going to be there so you can’t play scared,” Wilson said. “You got to be able to go for it. I think we were still able to do that. We had a lot of fourth-quarter comebacks and I believe those are going to happen.” GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks got a victory but lost an embittered Earl Thomas with a fractured leg.The Arizona Cardinals remained winless but had to be encouraged with the performance of rookie quarterback Josh Rosen in his first start. It was a mixed bag for both teams but the Seahawks came away with the victory Sunday when Sebastian Janikowski, after two earlier misses, kicked a 52-yard field goal as time expired for a 20-17 victory over the Cardinals, who fell to 0-4 for the first time since 1986, two years before the franchise moved from St. Louis.“We ran the ball for over 170 yards, which is fantastic,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “Mike Davis ran like crazy. He gave us a great effort on a day when Chris (Carson) couldn’t go.”Thomas sustained a lower left leg fracture while defending what turned out to be the game-tying touchdown pass from Rosen to Chad Williams in the fourth quarter.Obviously frustrated, Thomas made an obscene gesture toward the Seattle side of the field as he was carted off.Thomas had been embroiled in a contract squabble with the Seahawks, skipping some practices to show his ire. His teammates understood his frustration.“It’s an unfortunate part of the business,” Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “If he doesn’t come back, he’s not a team guy. If he does come back, he gets hurt and they say he shouldn’t have come back. It’s a crazy business that we’re in.”Rosen Tedric Thompson Color Rush Jersey , meanwhile, was impressive in his starting debut, completing 15 of 27 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown with no interception. He had several passes dropped.“I thought he played fantastic,” said teammate Larry Fitzgerald, who uncharacteristically dropped a couple. “I didn’t do him any justice by making plays for him, but I think he stuck in there and made some wonderful plays, some great throws.”Here are some things to consider from Seattle’s victory over Arizona.ROSEN’S DAYRosen said he had a couple of scrambles out of the backfield “that kind of got me in the flow of the game a little bit in the sense of like, ‘I belong here.”He said he felt more comfortable as the game went on and was at his most effective completing three big passes leading to his 22-yard TD toss to Chad Williams to tie the game at 17-17.“Again, his poise showed up,” coach Steve Wilks said. “… Total control over that whole drive.”INJURED SEAHAWKSThomas wasn’t the only Seattle player to be injured.Rookie tight end Will Dissly was carted off in the first quarter with a patellar tendon injury.“There’s nothing we can do but send love to them and build them up and all that,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “The bittersweet is so obvious. That’s how we’re feeling about it.”DAVIS RUNS WILDThrough the first three games this season, Davis had three carries for three yards. With Collins unable to play on Sunday, Davis ran wild, gaining 101 yards in 21 attempts, including TD runs of 20 and one yards.“Mike Davis stepped up in a huge, huge way,” Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson said. “He was the star of the game, I think, just making so many plays. He’s an explosive player. He works the right way. He’s a professional. He comes in ready.”After his TDs Ethan Pocic Color Rush Jersey , Davis did a celebration that included him waking from a slumber.“I just feel like I have been slept on ever since I came into the NFL,” he said. “It is just a reminder that I will wake them up one day.”JOHNSON’S PROGRESSFinally, David Johnson began to look like David Johnson. The Arizona running back topped 100 yards from scrimmage. He rushed for 71 yards in 22 attempts, including a 21-yard run, and caught three for 41 yards, including a 30-yard screen pass on Arizona’s game-tying TD drive. But Johnson gave himself poor grades.“I don’t know about the other guys, but I’m very disappointed in myself,” he said. “I had a lot of mental errors, man, and I didn’t do enough to help out the team.”KICKING WOESJankowski and Dawson are two of the most experienced kickers in the business, but they each missed twice.“No excuses,” Dawson said. “I go out there whenever I’m told to go out there, and it’s my job to put the ball through the posts. And twice today, I didn’t do that.”Dawson missed a 45-yarder that would have given Arizona the lead with 1:50 to play. Seattle drove downfield, with no timeouts, to set up Janikowski’s winning kick.

did against his defense the previous time that the Packers faced the Patriots.“He killed us Clay Matthews Jersey ,” Belichick said of New England‘s 26-21 loss in Green Bay in 2014. “He does everything well. … He’s one of the great quarterbacks in the National Football League. No question about it.”Four years later, not a lot has changed about Belichick’s affinity for Rodgers or his abilities as the Patriots prepare to host Green Bay on Sunday night. It presents the latest challenge for a New England defense that has had issues slowing teams down this season, particularly in the secondary.Following the departure of defensive coordinator Matt Patricia to the Lions, the Patriots have struggled with consistency in 2018.They currently rank in the bottom half of the NFL in both total defense (25th, 383 yards per game) and passing yards allowed (22nd, 227 yards per game).Stopping the pass was a major issue in both of New England’s losses.Blake Bortles threw for 376 yards and four touchdowns, including a 61-yarder to Dede Westbrook in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars‘ 31-20 win in Week 2.A week later, Matt Stafford had just nine incompletions and passed for 262 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Lions to a 26-10 victory. And though the Patriots were able to pull out a 43-40 win against the Chiefs, it came despite Patrick Mahomes lighting up the defense for 352 yards and four TDs through the air.The similarities in all those games were the ability of the three quarterbacks to create time and space with their legs.Rodgers isn’t expected to be as mobile as he continues to be slowed by the knee injury he sustained in Green Bay’s season opener. But he’s still managed to complete 61 percent of his passes while throwing for 13 touchdowns and just one interception.Patriots cornerback Jason McCourty was with the Titans in 2016 when they beat the Packers 47-25 in a game that saw Rodgers throw two interceptions. But he said he isn’t counting on getting anything less than Rodgers’ best this time around.“I really don’t want to compare anybody to Aaron Rodgers Blake Martinez Color Rush Jersey , so I won’t go that route,” McCourty said. “At the end of the day, however many football games you can play in preparation to help you get ready for this guy. … He’ll probably be the best quarterback we play against this year for sure.”Likewise, Rodgers is expecting to see various defensive looks from Belichick to get him off his game.“Bill is a phenomenal coach and he’s always going to have his guys ready to play,” he said. “They do a number of different things 鈥?they don’t just always major in one specific thing. They’re going to try to combat what you do best and take it away and get you off schedule and lock down the guys they want to take away and make you beat them with your third and fourth options.”New England’s secondary has shown improvement during its five-game win streak. Part of the reason is the support it has gotten up front from the defensive line.A week after giving up 31 points to Chicago, the Patriots responded by limiting Buffalo’s offense to just six points on a day in which Tom Brady and his offense struggled. The defense had three sacks, including two from linebacker Kyle Van Noy. But the play of the game came from safety Devin McCourty, who picked off Buffalo quarterback Derek Anderson late in the fourth quarter and returned it 84 yards for a touchdown.New England’s 11 interceptions are tied for the second-most in the league through eight weeks.Defensive end Trey Flowers said helping the secondary find similar success against Rodgers will hinge on their ability to speed up Rodgers in the pocket.“We definitely will need to try to contain him as much as we can,” Flowers said. “You flush him out the pocket and he’s still good. Keep him in the pocket and he’s still great. We just gotta continue to push and get him rattled up a little bit and do the best we can.” When the Green Bay Packers fired Mike McCarthy as their head coach https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Dave-Robinson-Jersey , it was widely assumed the team would pursue an offensive-minded coach to help fix Aaron Rodgers and the once-potent offense. What happens if that assumption is wrong and the Packers actually go with a defensive-minded coach? This would mean the offensive play caller could be completely in control of the offense and not also be tasked with overseeing the entire time like McCarthy was. It would mean more face-to-face time with Rodgers, who needs to be coached badly and the quarterback himself has gone on record saying that’s what he wants. The benefits of this are pretty tempting. The potential downside to this that it is much easier to fire coordinators than a head coach so if the next offensive coordinator doesn’t gel with Rodgers they’ll be shown the door quickly and that could create instability on that side of the ball. Even with an MVP quarterback that’s not a good thing. It also means the likely departure of Mike Pettine and a third defensive scheme in three years for the Packers. This also isn’t ideal.Green Bay should and probably will still go with an offensive-minded coach, but a defensive candidate should not ruled out. There’s more on the coaching search plus Green Bay’s newest receiver already loves his new team in today’s cheese curds.List of defensive candidates for Packers job could be impressive—PackersNews.comIf Green Bay goes defense, it would be the first defensive minded head coach since *gulp* Ray Rhodes, but it could work in theory. What You Might’ve Missed: Young guys in the trenches—Packers.comEven without Mike Daniels and Kenny Clark, the defensive line still held their own for the most part against Chicago despite one play where they parted like the Red Sea.Joe Philbin doesn’t plan to sit QB Rodgers—NFL.comHealth risks aside, further playing time would allow Rodgers to continue to develop chemistry with his young wide receivers, something that has definitely hampered the offense all season as our Peter Bukowski noted. Allen Lazard in ‘Football Heaven’ after signing with Packers—Des Moines RegisterThe former Iowa State standout understands he’s now in “football heaven” and immediately asked Twitter where the nearest Culver’s was so he could find some cheese curds. meet the Philadelphia Eagles? Let’s explore that with Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation in this week’s “5 questions.Ed: After the Eagles hammered the Giants in Week 6 I figured that would springboard them on a run that would give them control of the NFC East. What’s the biggest reason that hasn’t happened?Brandon: You and me both. It really looked like they were going to turn a corner Harry Carson Color Rush Jersey , especially as they were up 17-0 at home on the Panthers. But then they blew that game and they’ve been 1-2 since that loss. The offense has majorly contributed to the Eagles’ struggles. Philadelphia ranks 23rd in points per game (just under the 22nd-ranked Giants), 22nd in yards per play, and 22nd in offensive DVOA. There’s no real running game to speak of and there’s a real lack of explosive play-makers. Carson Wentz has posted good numbers this season but he’s coming off the worst game of his career with a three interception performance against the Saints. Philadelphia’s top-ranked offensive line in 2017 has regressed in 2018. Doug Pederson and his coaching staff deserve blame for an offense that’s averaging a league-worst 2.1 points per game in the first quarter. (14 of those 21 first quarter points came against the Giants.)Jim Schwartz’s defense doesn’t look so awful on paper when you see the Eagles rank seventh in opponent points per game. But that figure doesn’t tell the whole story. The Eagles are still 22nd in defensive DVOA and only two teams have fewer takeaways this season. No defensive players can really be counted on to make a big play. Injuries haven’t helped, either. The Eagles rank 24th in adjusted games lost this season, which shows they’ve been hurting more than most teams.Ed: What is going on with Golden Tate? I keep reading about the Eagles having a hard time figuring out how to incorporate him into their offense. What’s the deal?Brandon: The Eagles traded a 2019 third-round pick for eight games of Tate. One would think they’d be pretty committed to giving him a lot of playing time in that limited window. But Tate’s only played 47.8 percent of the Eagles’ offensive snaps through his first two games on the roster. He’s been targeted 12 times for seven receptions, 67 yards (9.6 yards per reception), and zero touchdowns. He has one rushing attempt for negative eight yards. So Lawrence Taylor Color Rush Jersey , yeah, the Eagles have clearly not been able to incorporate him effectively. Offensive coordinator Mike Groh said it’s been “challenging” to get him involved, which seems like a crazy thing to say because that’s basically an admission he’s not good at his job. Part of the issue is that Tate is primarily a slot receiver and that’s the role where Nelson Agholor usually excels. Ed: What worries you most about the Giants as you look ahead to this game? Conversely, where do you look at the matchup and feel like the Giants are vulnerable?Brandon: Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley worry me the most about this game. The Eagles’ secondary has been absolutely ravaged by injury. Starting cornerback Ronald Darby is out for the year with a torn ACL. Starting cornerback Jalen Mills is likely to be out with a foot injury. Third cornerback Sidney Jones has a hamstring injury and won’t play this week. Fourth cornerback Rasul Douglas is dealing with an injury issue and might not play on Sunday. Ditto for rookie starting safety / nickel cornerback Avonte Maddox. Against the Giants, the Eagles might be down to undrafted rookie free agent Chandon Sullivan and practice squad player De’Vante Bausby starting on the outside with recently acquired Cre’Von LeBlanc starting in the slot. None of those players were even on Philadelphia’s roster on October 24. I just don’t see those guys standing much of a chance of containing OBJ and the rest of the Giants’ receiving corps. As for Barkley, we saw him give the Eagles trouble back in Week 6. Philadelphia’s run defense has only worsened since then. Ezekiel Elliott went off for 151 yards and one touchdown against Philly in Week 10. Then Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara combined for 174 rushing yards and two scores on 29 carries in Week 11. I can only imagine what Barkley might do against this depleted defense. BBV Radio Ed: On BBV Radio, Michael Kist seemed to indicate that he thought there was some Super Bowl hangover when it came to the Eagles preparation/readiness for the current season. Agree or disagree?Brandon: I think Kist put it well. This group just looks like a team that wasn’t able to turn the page on 2017. They’ve been coming out flat in most weeks. As I previously mentioned Carl Banks Color Rush Jersey , they’re dead last in first quarter scoring. It’s hard to say the same hunger to be truly great has been on display. Even the team’s leaders have made that point in recent weeks. You have Jason Kelce saying there’s not enough accountability with this team. And you have Malcolm Jenkins criticizing the team’s demeanor in their latest loss. Ed: Your prediction for Sunday? Are we ever going to see the 2018 Eagles look like the 2017 Eagles for any extended period of time?Brandon: On one hand, I don’t think the Giants are suddenly some juggernaut just because they beat Nick Mullens by four points and a benched Ryan Fitzpatrick by three points. I think it’s entirely possible the Eagles can beat New York as they’ve often done in recent years. But I don’t have a lot of confidence in their ability to do that right now. The offense is majorly struggling. The defense is depleted. The Eagles have lost three in a row at the Linc so it’s not even like they have home field advantage going for them right now.I expect this to be a close game that could go either way but I’ll say the Giants win, 24 to 20. And no, I don’t think we see the 2017 team for an extended period of time. Who are these guys, and what did they do with the New York Giants offense? That was the feeling after the Giants’ first two offensive drives, which saw runs of 8, 9 Mark Bavaro Color Rush Jersey , 10, and 11 yards from the Giants’ offense, not to mention a 41-yard pass to Odell Beckham Jr. Both drives were capped by touchdowns from Saquon Barkley, the first a six-yard receiving touchdown, and the second was a 5-yard run. The Giants’ defense showed up in a big way on the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s first two drives, with a big fourth-th down stop to get the ball back after Tampa’s first drive, then stopping the second drive after just four plays. The Giants’ offensive line has largely continued its good play from last week Eli Manning Color Rush Jersey , with some stellar blocks from Will Hernandez opening the way for Barkley on the ground. Manning was efficient throughout the half, completing 11-of-12 of 128 for yards and a touchdown. Landon Collins left the game late in the second quarter to be evaluated for a concussion, but is expected to return to the field. The Buccaneers won the coin toss and chose to defer, so they will get the ball to start the second half.Use this as your second-half open thread.

OAKLAND Darius Leonard Color Rush Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Adam Vinatieri has made plenty of tougher kicks in his career5-yarder through the snow to win a playoff game and 46 field goals from at least 50 yards in the regular season and postseason.Vinatieri’s 25-yarder at the end of the second quarter in Indianapolis’ 42-28 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday will surely be one he never forgets. With that kick, Vinatieri passed Hall of Famer Morten Andersen to become the NFL’s all-time leading scorer. He added three extra points in the fourth quarter to give him 2,550 for his career — six more than Andersen.“I never thought I’d play that long,” said the 45-year-old Vinatieri, who is in his 23rd NFL season. “I never thought I’d be standing here talking to you guys about all-time records. But I love my teammates — all of them — for the last 20-something years, unselfishly going out there and helping me do my job. A lot of great memories along the way. I think that’s the best part about this day — less the record and more that we got the record in a win.”Vinatieri wasn’t sure the record would come this week after re-injuring his right groin last week against Buffalo. He was limited in practice this week but was healthy enough to play the game.He made an extra point and a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter to tie Andersen’s record before hitting the kick at the end of the half that made him No. 1 by himself.“I played against him back in 2007, when he was in Atlanta and it might have been about his last year and I just thought, ‘Man, this is unbelievable. This is a record that will never be touched,'” Vinatieri said. “He’s done it so long for so many years and so prolifically, that you know I just thought, man, it’s untouchable. But I guess as you keep going and you just stack years upon years, the numbers start stacking up.”Vinatieri entered the league with New England as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State. He won the job with the Patriots his first season and helped the team reach the Super Bowl.Vinatieri reached legendary status in the 2001 season when his 45-yard field goal on a snowy night shortly after the Patriots were given a reprieve by the “Tuck Rule” against the Raiders forced overtime in a playoff game. He kicked a game-winner in overtime to send the Patriots to the AFC championship game.He then made the winning 48-yard kick on the final play of the Super Bowl to lead the Patriots to their first championship and help launch a dynasty.Vinatieri made the winning 41-yarder two years later with four seconds left to help New England beat Carolina for a second title. He won the Super Bowl again the following year with New England and then after the 2006 season with the Colts. He’s still going strong more than a decade later.“I really don’t think we fully appreciate what just happened, or really playing with Vinny T.Y. Hilton Jersey ,” quarterback Andrew Luck said. “He doesn’t make a big deal out of anything. He approaches everything with such a professionalism and humility and deflects attention, that I think we get blinded to how great — truly great, great — he is. I love playing with him. He’s taught me so much about how to handle yourself and about how to be a pro.” The Indianapolis Colts have made this season quite interesting, winning their last four to pull into a tie for the final wildcard spot. The offense is clicking on all cylinders and the defense has made key plays to get big wins. Players such as Darius Leonard, Kenny Moore, and even Margus Hunt— earlier in the season at least— have led the way on this defense. One player who everyone seems to have forgotten about is Jabaal Sheard.Sheard was an absolute star last season for the Colts, in spite of his sack numbers. In 2017, Sheard only managed 5.5 sacks — a number that he has already hit this season— but he was top five in the NFL in run stops for edge defenders and ninth in total pressures. Despite the sack numbers, his all around edge play was pretty stellar. This year though, there seems to be less talk about Sheard— likely due to the deserved hype of Leonard on defense. Sheard has been a very important piece in a defense that has vastly improved from a year ago. The Colts are a top ten defense against the run this season, allowing only 3.9 yards per rush. The Colts are also in the top half of the league in sacks this season with 26 on the year. Sheard is a big part of both those statistics. In this film room, I will show you all that despite not hearing his name as much this season, Sheard is still the same dominant player that he was last year. Let’s jump into the film so you can see what I’m talking about.PositivesRun DefenseSheard is one of the top run defenders in all of football. He excels at reading offenses and shooting gaps to stop runners in the backfield. When blocked one-on-one, Sheard is typically too quick for linemen as he is able to blow by them for the stop. He is very disciplined but when he is left unblocked or he sees an opening, he won’t hesitate to exploit it. He has 10 tackles for a loss this season which is already a career high.In this first clip, Sheard is initially lined up as the end in base defense. He then moves inside with the tight end motioning across the line of scrimmage https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Le_Raven-Clark-Jersey , making a perceived mismatch with a bigger guard against a smaller end player. Sheard is way too quick off of the line for guard Josh Kline and beats him to the spot. Sheard expertly swipes away Kline’s hands and gets free from the block. He is then able to make a tackle in open space against a pretty strong runner in Derrick Henry. The next clip is another great overall play by Sheard. The Redskins are running a sweep to Sheard’s side with the tight end coming to down block him out of the play. Sheard’s initial assignment appears to be to shoot inside, as his first step is more towards the center. He is able to adjust when he sees the sweep and effortlessly tosses tight end Jeremy Sprinkle aside. He shoots through the pulling lineman and makes the play on Adrian Peterson in the backfield. This is a great, disruptive play from the veteran. Our next clip shows Sheard fighting through traffic to get the stop. He gets doubled by the right tackle and tight end on a dive up the middle. Sheard is able to toss the tackle aside and fight inside through tight end Charles Clay’s block. He loses his balance but a great job of latching onto the running back and holding on for the tackle for a loss.One-on-OneSheard is nearly unblockable one-on-one, especially by average offensive linemen. His quickness and burst are really hard to counter and he isn’t afraid to bull rush to keep the line off balance and drive his opponent into the quarterback’s lap. He is very good on the edge one-on-one but excels against guards. His combination of hand usage and speed are too much for bigger guards. On this play, Sheard disrespects Titan’s center Ben Jones. He stunts inside and gets a one-on-one look with the center. Before engaging, Sheard is able to swat away his hands and blow past him for the sack. Jones ends up on the ground after barely laying a hand on Sheard. Just a crazy athletic play to make a starting center look foolish. Our next clips highlights Sheard taking advantage of guard Josh Kline— who is actually having a pretty solid season. Sheard starts with excellent burst which allows him to get to the guard before he is fully set. He then swipes away Kline’s hands and drives up field toward the quarterback. Kline is left grabbing for air and dives at Sheard as he blows by. The following clip is probably the most impressive, despite not resulting in a sack. While we find that Sheard struggles against top tackles, he gets the best of Morgan Moses on this play. He uses his speed and burst to get inside of Moses, who has no help. Although Moses slows him down a bit, Sheard won at the snap with his quickness. He got into the face of Alex Smith to force the incompletion. Gap ShootingThe Colts’ defensive scheme relies heavily on gap shooting defensive linemen. They ask their players to do a lot of work through twists and stunts, and to contain the run on their way up field. Sheard is excellent in this area. He has the quickness and ability to gain leverage to be disruptive when firing through gaps.Even on passing plays, Sheard can be disruptive shooting gaps. In this clip, Sheard is performing an inside stunt with defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway. The Redskins fail to properly communicate. As a result, Moses is left alone to keep up with Sheard, who is stunting inside. Sheard is able to get up field before Moses can wrestle control of the block, and he ends up with a big sack. This next rep is particularly impressive. The Eagles are performing an inside trap where the right guard pulls to block the left end and the rest of the line blocks down. Sheard notices the concept and shoots through the gap the right guard has vacated. He beats All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson to the spot and make the big tackle for a loss. When Sheard is firing through gaps and not focused on contain https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Braden-Smith-Jersey , he can run past any lineman in this league. The final clip may not look like a positive to most people, but this is a perfectly executed stunt as All-Pro Center Jason Kelce gets too caught up with the defensive tackle to notice Sheard. Sheard flies past Kelce as he grabs for air and has a free shot at the sack on Carson Wentz. You would like to see Sheard finish this play but to have the speed and quickness to get in that situation is impressive. He also forces Wentz to leave the pocket, which is a win.NegativesConsistency vs Top TacklesSheard was one of the better edge players in football last season. So, naturally, I expected him to take the next step into stardom this year with a new scheme that supports his abilities. While he has played very well, he hasn’t really taken a big step forward. To be considered one of the better edge players in football, Sheard needs more consistency against top tackles. He struggles to make as many plays when he is in these situations. This first clip is against Morgan Moses. I know that Sheard showed some nice inside moves against Moses on stunts but he was relatively quiet in one-on-one attempts on the edge. I don’t expect him to dominate the entire game but I’d like to see more consistency against these players. This is the type of rep that happened too frequently against the Redskins. Our next clip shows Sheard against Lane Johnson again. This is in a two minute drill towards the end of the half. Sheard should be pinning his ears back and attacking but he gets washed out easily by Johnson. I don’t need him dominating every good tackle in football, but to take the next step in his career, he needs to perform better against top competition.Strength/BalanceThis is a tad nit picky but I it bears addressing. There are too many plays where Sheard ends up on the ground or completely out of the play by little things. I don’t know if it is a strength or balance issue, or reflects inconsistent effort but it stands out. In the following clip, Sheard gets tossed aside by Moses. In the second clip he is pushed around by tight end in Charles Clay. This isn’t always prevalent but these plays litter Sheard’s film and need to go away.AnalysisJabaal Sheard is a very important piece on a young, improving defense. He is a stout run defender and excels often wins against one-on-one blocks or by shooting gaps. He has a few areas that need work his body of work tells me that he is a well above average defensive end in this league.Sheard deserves more credit and recognition for his play. Guys like Kenny Moore, Darius Leonard, and Anthony Walker have been excellent surprises but Sheard’s has continued his steady play from a year ago and he is definitely one of the better defenders on this team. I don’t know what his role will be moving forward but he is currently a valuable piece on a team looking to make the playoffs.Closing ThoughtsI’d like to conclude this article by giving a little bit of thanks our readers. I have been writing/ podcasting about football for years and I have never encountered a fan base so excited and passionate as the one on Stampede Blue. I love writing these Film Room pieces. Seeing the positive feedback in the comment sections truly make it worth while. So, thank you for your continued support. I hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving with friends and family and look forward to rooting for the Colts to crush the Dolphins this Sunday. Go Colts!

BEREA Jim Brown Color Rush Jersey , Ohio (AP) — daunting for the Browns.Starting cornerback E.J. Gaines will miss Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay because of a concussion, further challenging a Cleveland defense also without Pro Bowl linebacker Joe Schobert, who could be out several weeks with a hamstring injury. The loss of Gaines would be tough any time, but especially this week against the high-flying Buccaneers, who are averaging 368.4 yards passing per game and have a trifecta of talented receivers in Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson and Chris Godwin. With size and speed, Tampa Bay’s receivers stress defenses.“Stresses the coaches, too, everybody,” Browns coach Hue Jackson said. “They are good. Make no doubt about it. We have one that is averaging 23 yards a reception (Jackson), another guy that is 14 yards per reception (Evans) and another guy that is 13 or 12, whatever he is (Goodwin).“They all are making plays. They have all scored touchdowns. Then you throw the tight ends in there, too. They have some weapons. Guys that can score the ball. It is a big challenge for us. Have to go play well.”Gaines only recently moved into the starting lineup after Terrance Mitchell, who started Cleveland’s first four games, was placed on injured reserve after he broke his right wrist at Oakland on Sept. 30.Gaines practiced on Wednesday Jamie Collins Jersey , but reported to the team’s facility Thursday with concussion-like symptoms and was placed into league protocol. Jackson doesn’t know exactly when Gaines got hurt, but said it was not during practice this week.“These things, sometimes they flare up at different times in different ways with players,” Jackson said. “We had one of these a year ago that was a little different. Once they check them and put them into the protocol, in they go.”With Gaines sidelined, T.J. Carrie will start on one corner opposite rookie Denzel Ward, and Briean Boddy-Calhoun will take over at nickel back.Carrie signed a four-year, $31 million free agent contract with Cleveland in March after four seasons in Oakland. The 28-year-old Carrie started all 16 games last season and 37 during his tenure with the Raiders. He was credited with 12 tackles when the Browns played the Raiders and has 26 this season in a reserve role.Carrie said all of Tampa Bay’s receivers are dangerous.“It is going to be a challenge,” he said. “All of us on the back end are going to have to really bone up because they have some talented receivers with the guys that they have. It is another challenge that we have always prepared for. Week in and week out, there is always going to be a challenge with receivers in this league. So many teams in this league have No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 so for our matchup, it is about going out there and being confident in what we do.”Cleveland’s got a major injury issue on the offensive side as well with starting center JC Tretter slowed by a high left ankle sprain.Tretter didn’t practice again Thursday so he could get more treatment on the ankle he injured last week while blocking on a quarterback sneak in the first half of a loss to the Chargers. Tretter will test the ankle Friday, but feels positive he’s going to play.“We will tape it up and we will see what it feels like, and we will make a good decision,” said Tretter Christian Kirksey Color Rush Jersey , who is wearing a walking boot. “I still feel confident about playing on Sunday. I played with it during the game for the rest of it, and it feels better than it did at that point. I feel confident.”NOTES: Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley said there were plenty of teaching points for rookie QB Baker Mayfield after his shaky performance last week. Haley said it’s vital the No. 1 pick bounces back Sunday. “How we respond to that, how he (Mayfield) responds to a game like that is very, very critical,” Haley said. “It was one game of 16.” … The Browns have scored just six points in the first quarter this season, and Haley’s emphasized stronger starts. “I have told the offense very clearly that we need to do something to get the Browns going early. We can’t wait around and wait for somebody else to do it — for (DE) Myles Garrett to make a big sack/fumble or something like that. We have to do it. That is the charge this week and looking to see our guys respond.” CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Latest on the Eric Reid signing with the Carolina Panthers (all times local):6:15 p.m.Patriots safety Devin McCourty says he’s pleased that Eric Reid has signed with the Carolina Panthers and hopes that quarterback Colin Kaepernick might continue his career at some point, too.McCourty said Thursday that Reid “is a great player. A guy that I think we’ve all watched over the last couple of years go out and make plays. A starter since Day 1 in this league.”McCourty, who is a member of the Players Coalition, hopes that Reid’s return is an indication that Kaepernick “gets signed” and is allowed to continue his NFL career as well.McCourty was one of several players around the NFL who expressed support for Reid, including Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and defensive end Michael Bennett. Bennett says, “it’s about time.”
